Jesus Take The Wheel: Man Executed For Killing His Parents And Grandmother In Drug Rampage That Ended With House Explosion

Damn, he took the parents and the grandma out . Man Executed For Killing Parents And Grandmother Good riddance…he won’t be missed. According to The NY Daily News A Texas man was put to death Wednesday evening for killing his parents at their Lubbock home 15 years ago during a drug-influenced rampage that also left his 89-year-old grandmother dead. Michael Yowell, 43, told witnesses, including his daughters and his ex-wife, that he loved them. “Punch the button,” he told the warden. He took several deep breaths, then began snoring. Within about 30 seconds, all movement stopped. His daughters and ex-wife hugged as they watched through a window in the death chamber. Yowell was pronounced dead 19 minutes later at 7:11 p.m. CDT. Yowell tried to delay his execution, the 14th this year in the nation’s most active death penalty state, by joining a lawsuit with two other condemned prisoners that challenged Texas prison officials’ recent purchase of a new supply of pentobarbital for his scheduled lethal injection. Crazy. Yowell’s parents, John, 55, and Carol, 53, were found dead in the wreckage of their home following an explosion on Mother’s Day weekend in 1998. Yowell’s 89-year-old grandmother, Viola Davis, who was staying there, died days later of injuries suffered in the blast. Yowell already was on probation for burglary and drug convictions. He was arrested on federal firearms charges and charged with his parents’ slayings after authorities determined his mother had been beaten and strangled and his father was shot. Prosecutors showed John Yowell was killed when he caught his son stealing his wallet. Yowell then attacked his mother, opened a gas valve and fled. The home blew up. “At some point he’s looking his mom in the face, beating her and wrapping a lamp cord around her neck,” Lubbock County District Attorney Matt Powell, who prosecuted the case, recalled Tuesday. “I think always there are some unanswered questions. You want to know how somebody is capable of doing that to their parents.” Evidence showed Yowell had a $200-a-day drug habit he supported by stealing. Evidence also showed he burned some of his bloody clothes and hid a blood-stained jacket and the murder weapon in the crawl space of a friend’s house. Defense attorneys unsuccessfully tried to show Yowell was insane. On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to review appeals that contended Yowell received shoddy legal help at his 1999 trial and in the early stages of his appeals. You know he was a cold-blooded killer when he said,”punch the button”….no remorse. Continue reading

For Discussion: Is Lorde’s Top Billboard 100 Song “Royals” Denouncing Hip Hop’s Gold Teeth And Maybachs Racist?

These black rappers (Trinidad James) do wear those gold teeth and drive Maybachs though. .. Singer Lorde’s “Royals” Considered Racist Lorde’s song “Royals,” which discusses consumerism in Hip Hop has become a big hit, but one writer took to her blog to declare the track racist. According to CNN An international war of words has broken out over a New Zealand pop star’s chart-topping single, after an American blogger labeled the track racist. “Royals,” the debut single by Lorde, the stage name of Ella Yelich-O’Connor, currently sits above hits from Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making the 16-year-old the youngest artist to top the U.S. chart in 26 years. The singer — who sings about rejecting the trappings of consumerism in “Royals” and has admonished fellow pop star Selena Gomez for being insufficiently feminist — has won plaudits from critics as a refreshing presence in the charts. But not everyone is a fan. In a post on the prominent feminist blog feministing.com, writer Veronica Bayetti Flores took issue with the song’s lyrics, in which Yelich-O’Connor sings that “every song” is about gold teeth and Maybach luxury cars — both fixtures of hip-hop music videos — before concluding “we don’t care, we’re driving Cadillacs in our dreams.” “While I love a good critique of wealth accumulation and inequity, this song is not one; in fact, it is deeply racist,” wrote Bayetti Flores. “Because we all know who she’s thinking when we’re talking gold teeth, Cristal (champagne) and Maybachs. So why s— on black folks? Why s— on rappers?” A spokesman for Universal Music New Zealand, Lorde’s label, said the singer had no comment in response to the criticism. In an interview with NPR, Lorde described how the song was inspired by the messages conveyed by the pop music she had grown up with. “I was just sort of reeling off some of the things which are commonly mentioned in hip-hop and the Top 40,” she said. “I’ve always loved hip-hop, but as a fan of hip-hop, I’ve always had to kind of suspend disbelief because, obviously, I don’t have a Bentley. There’s a distance between that and the life I have with my friends going to parties and getting public transport and doing the things that every other teenager does.” The lyrics in question are: But every song’s like gold teeth, Grey Goose, tripping in the bathroom, Blood stains, ball gowns, trashing the hotel room, We don’t care, we’re driving Cadillacs in our dreams. But everybody’s like Cristal, Maybach, diamonds on your time piece, Jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash. We don’t care, we aren’t caught up in your love affair. Do you think the blogger is reaching or is the song racist? WENN Continue reading

Bangers: Pro Ballerina Misty Copeland Talks Discrimination Against Black Dancers Without “The Right Body Type” For Vogue Italia [Photos]

Should ballet companies be subject scrutiny because their traditions seem racist? Misty Copeland Talks To Vogue Italia Magazine Extraordinarily talented professional ballerina Misty Copeland is continuing carrying on the torch as one of the only black women in her profession today and she’s doing it with effortless class, style and grace. Vogue Italia recently caught up with Misty and got her to open up about how she got her start, discrimination against young black girls aspiring to be ballerinas and more. Check out a few interview excerpts below: via Vogue Italia During your training, did anyone ever explain to you how rare it was for a black ballerina to gain entrance into any of the major ballet companies? I think that in a lot of ways, I’m happy that my race was not something that was discussed (during my training). It wasn’t an issue that was presented to me at that time. Of course, I was aware that I was black. My mother was very clear about telling all of my siblings who we were. Even though I was of mixed raced, my mother was clear about it…telling me I was black, and that I was going to be seen as black. So that is just how I knew of myself. But it wasn’t something that I thought about when I started dancing. I didn’t see myself any different than all the other girls. And I think that helped me in the beginning. At what point did you realize how few black ballerinas there were in the world of classical ballet? By the time I got to ABT, I was not at all prepared to deal with what I walked into. I just had no history of the ballet and black women in it. I had no idea that I was going to walk into ABT and be the only black woman there, and for the next eleven years still be the only black woman there. And so I just wasn’t prepared. I think over time, maturing and growing, and understanding how the ballet culture and the history of it works, it’s become easier on a daily basis. But it is hard.   Just hearing things every so often, like the fact that I don’t exactly look like a “white swan.” It was very difficult. Historically, the argument has been made that black women don’t have the right body type for ballet. Is this a valid assessment, or an excuse to justify the exclusion? It’s a hard thing to separate and try to figure out. Is it about them being black? Or is it really about the body type only? Because I’ve see dancers that are not black that get accepted into major companies, that do not have ideal bodies. I think it is something that is kind of used as an excuse. There are so many excuses that are used. Too muscular. Too athletic. Just not the right proportion. But I think that the ideal physique and look of a ballerina is always changing with different eras. And it’s continuing to change. And I think more dancers are just more healthy and athletic in general, because of the way that choreography and the different kind of dancing is making its way into ballet. So your muscles are going to change and develop. I don’t think they can, or will be able to use that excuse for much longer. We’re definitely team Misty over this way! In case you’re not too familiar with the bangin’ Ms. Copeland, hit the flip to check out a few flawless flicks of magnificence that is Misty. Continue reading

Danielly Silva Modelling Bikinis of the Day

Danielly Silva is some tall model with an awesome body…wearing a bikini for some bikini company…because that’s what she’s built to do…and I’ve never heard of her…. After extensive research, I think she’s dating some dude named Kenny Wormald, who I’ve also never heard of, but who has an IMDB and has 7 movies coming out this year….including one called Lap Dance starring Carmen Electra as a stripper…which I guess really means nothing other than that she’s not a pure delicate flower sent from heaven to get into her bikini….tainted by love of some dude no one has heard of but who is rich from the entertainment industry…like she was some kind of groupie…just leveraging the only low level celebrity she could to get here today…but I’m not hating…if anything it makes me want to be low level famous…to pull in girls like this to give a taste of the good life via the taste of my semen…it’s easier than kidnapping them or using roofies…

Emily O’Hara is Today’s Page 3 Tits of the Day

Here is some useless Glamour model…named Emily O’Hara….who gets topless so I guess she’s not all that useless because being a Glamour model is a real job…even if it is a low level job that requires only one real talent…showing your big old tits…even if you don’t have a hot face…because tits are all you fucking need to get this job done…and I hate on the low level modelling that this is…but at the same time it tricks simple minded chicks, who probably wouldn’t have been getting topless in the first place, to re-think their life goals, leading to getting topless, because it’s a hell of a lot better than working the cash at the grocery store, or whatever Emily O’Hara was doing pre-getting topless in Page 3…and really what it all comes down to is simple….TITTIES!!!

Georgia May Jagger for LUI Magazine of the Day

This LUI Magazine is really dominating….it is out of France and being out of France, they get a whole lot of models topless, because that’s like being clothed in France…or more importantly it is like being clothed in the fashion industry…. We saw CLEMENCE POSEY TOPLESS , and Edita Topless and they also did a shoot with Georgia May Jagger only she wasn’t topless….but she was shot by Terry Richardson and this may be some of his more tame work….and not his hipster porn but it is still hot, because she is hot… I am all for rockstar/model kids becoming models thanks to nepotism and making me want to make kids inside them and their trust fund, especially when they look like this…she’s good…if you don’t imagine her dad’s face when staring at her mouth…
