Beyonce and Jay Z Attend The US Open Jay And Bey’s latest NYC date night found them supporting their friend Serena Williams as she slayed and dominated the court. The power pair attended the match as personal guests of Serena Williams who — of course — won tonight’s match. Via USA Today : Serena Williams is tied with Steffi Graf for most Grand Slam tittles in the Open era, and Thursday night she equaled another legend for most match wins by a female player at the major tournaments. Williams was strong, if not her best, in a 6-3, 6-3 victory over fellow American Vania King, earning her 306th career win at a Grand Slam. That tally pulled her even with Martina Navratilova, who was 306-49 during her career at the majors. With the win, Williams moves to 306-42. “I feel like I made a lot of errors,” said Williams, who appeared frustrated at times in the match. “What really matters is I got the win. Kanye West Says Kim Has Always Inspired His Tour Performances Kanye West frequently credits his wife Kimmy as his muse and inspiration…so it could come as little shock that he viewed her that way before they were even a couple . Kanye told E!online that he would hope that Kim saw his shows and think he was just cool enough to be her man… “Her [spirit] was there even before she was my girlfriend,” Yeezy told E! News’ Ken Baker. “I would do these performances and hope that she would see me in my cool outfit and think that I would be cool enough to be her boyfriend.” And it looks like he’s carrying that inspo over to his latest tour. Kanye has debuted a totally new type of performance stage for the Saint Pablo tour… Via E!News : But his tour setup, in which Kanye stands on a small platform and rise above everyone instead of performing on a static stage, didn’t just happen over night—it took about 10 years start to finish, according to Kanye, but less time to see it to fruition. “At least eight months of planning for this,” he told E! News’ Ken Baker. “Traveling around the world and meeting with the best stage designers on the globe and having the best stage designers.” But it was all worth it because he had a very specific idea in mind for his fans. “I just wanted people to get into it and have a fun time. Make it not be just about watching the artist but people watching their friends and singing along with the lyrics and just being able to see themselves and their outfits,” Kanye explained. “Take the concert experience to another level.
