Mark Sanchez did not lead the New York Jets to a single offensive touchdown in the team’s first preseason game. But a new report makes it clearer than ever: the quarterback is having no trouble scoring with Eva Longoria! Rumors of Longoria and Sanchez as an item first started in June and are now heating up after the famous twosome allegedly spent two nights together over Labor Day weekend. According to The New York Post , Longoria was spotted at Sanchez’s home in Bedminster, New Jersey on Friday; she then took in a performance of “Rock of Ages” with the signal caller Saturday and followed that up by dining with Sanchez at Japanese hot spot Nobu in NYC. Based on her marriage to Tony Parker, of course, we all know Eva has a thing for professional athletes. The only question remaining: Did Sanchez split the gorgeous actress’ uprights… if you know what we mean?!?

Following the arrest of Alicia Guastaferro on prostitution charges Monday night, the former Wife Swap star’s husband has spoken out and… … wait, what?!? Yes, the 20-year old is married to someone named Scott Kleveno , who tells TMZ he tied the knot with Alicia last November at Niagra Falls, but separated from her a few months ago. And he isn’t shocked by her run in with the law. “With her not coming home on several occasions, the prostitution arrest is no surprise to me,” Kleveno says, explaining that Guastaferro worked as a dancer during their marriage and would often meet up with customers late at night outside the club. Kleveno moved to Florida after the couple split, but adds that Guastaferro has a history with James Doyle, the 54-year old lawyer police caught her with this week and for whom she claims she served as a call girl. Scott says a divorce is pending, but he’s waiting on the paperwork.

Indian-born filmmaker Mira Nair said that 9/11 formed part of the inspiration for her latest film, The Reluctant Fundamentalist , which kicked off the Venice Film Festival Wednesday evening. Just days before the attacks, Nair won the festival’s top prize, the Golden Lion, for her much praised Monsoon Wedding and she left the fabled Italian city for the Toronto International Film Festival to promote the film when the attacks happened. Like other New York residents, she was stranded in the Canadian city following the tragic event, taking her a week to get back to NYC and her husband and son. When she did make it back, she felt an “otherness” in the post-9/11 period, a theme she explores in her latest feature. “It was quite shocking when I got back because it felt like images I had seen in my part of the world, refugee camps, helicopters, a sense of war, a war zone, and it was in our backyard,” she said in Venice Wednesday as reported by A.P. “And so suddenly, (New York) became a place where people who looked like us were ‘the other.’ And that was painful, and that was also part of the inspiration to try to make this film.” Based on the novel by Mohsin Hamid, British-born musician and actor Riz Ahmed plays Changez a gifted financial analyst whose allegiance to America is questioned following the 9/11 attacks. Changez travels to the Pakistani city of Lahore re-connecting with his routes. Liev Schreiber plays a journalist who interviews him in Lahore as a kidnapping crisis rages. Kate Hudson plays his girlfriend and Kiefer Sutherland plays his former Wall Street mentor in NYC flashback scenes. “[The novel is] essentially a dialogue between East and West,” Nair said in Venice. “”We all know there has been an enormous schism, a wall between East and West, since, in this last decade. So I sought very much in the dialogue between America and the Islamic world in The Reluctant Fundamentalist to really bring some sense of bridge-making, some sense of healing, a sense of community that goes beyond the stereotypes, goes beyond the myopia, goes beyond the ignorance.” [ Source: A.P. ]

Tom said: “Yeen gettin’ half of isht over here baby girl!” Tom Cruise’s Prenup Allows Katie Holmes Nothing Except Child Support According to TMZ reports : Katie Holmes walked away with nothing other than rather modest child support in her divorce from Tom Cruise … and we at TMZ have the breakdown. Sources familiar with documents filed with the court tell TMZ … Katie got no lump sum payout, which is consistent with the prenup which essentially shuts her out of Tom’s $250 million fortune. As for spousal support …. Katie got zip. Katie will get money for child support, but it’s way less than a judge could have ordered. According to the settlement, Tom must pay Katie $400,000 a year in child support. That comes to $33,333.33 a month. The money will be paid by electronic transfer. Tom must pay Suri’s support for the next 12 years — until she turns 18. All tolled, that comes to $4.8 million. Tom must also pay Suri’s expenses, including medical, dental, insurance, education, college and extracurricular costs. And … both Tom and Katie agree that Suri will NOT attend a “residential school” from now through her high school years. Translation — she can’t be shipped off to boarding school — Scientology or otherwise. Katie could have gotten more child support under New York law if the case went to trial, but both she and Tom decided to settle quickly. Hollyweird celebs ( Kimmy Cakes and Kris ) take note. Get yourself a virgin-tight prenup and if you decide to get a divorce, get it over with quick and dirty. Image via SpalshNews
