Erica, girl, come get your man…. Lil Scrappy Gets President Obama’s Face Tattooed On His Stomach It might be time for LHHATL to start taping early, because cast member Lil Scrappy clearly has a little too much time on his hands during the off season. The ATL rapper recently took some of his reality show gwap and got a life-sized tattoo of a gigantic dollar bill bearing President Barack Obama’s face across his stomach. What do you think of Scrappy’s ode to Barry O?
We can’t imagine what onlookers felt when the train struck the float. Sadly, the crash has left at least 10 of the victims in critical condition . According to The Daily Mail : At least four people have died and 17 were injured in west Texas after a freight train slammed into a parade float carrying wounded veterans for a charity benefit. The veterans and their wives were seated on the flat beds of two tractor trailer rigs that paraded through downtown Midland, Texas, for a ‘Show of Support’ banquet in their honor. As the two trailers crossed the train tracks, a Union Pacific train suddenly appeared, barreling down the tracks about 4.30pm on Thursday. The first float pulled ahead and successfully clear the tracks, but the second float, still filled with people, was smashed by the locomotive. Two people died at the scene. Two more died at the hospital. Ten of the victims are in critical condition. Eight are stable. ‘It was pandemonium at the point of impact. Some (of the veterans) tried to jump and protect each other, their girlfriends and their wives,’ Sheriff Gary Painter told the Midland Reporter-Telegram. The overwhelmed staff at Midland Memorial Hospital have begun asking the community for blood donations and set up an emergency donation center in the city, KWES-TV reports. Event organizers say 24 veterans and their spouses were on the trailers, en route from a downtown hotel to a banquet in their honor, according to the newspaper. The eastbound train was sounding its horn before it hit the float, Union Pacific spokesman Tom Lange said. A preliminary investigation indicates the crossing gate and lights were working at the time, Lange said, though he didn’t know if the train crew saw the float approaching. However, witnesses reported that the crossing arms never lowered at the intersection, leaving the truck driver and the veterans completely off guard. The parade was meant to kick off a weekend of celebration for the veterans, who were supposed to go on an all-expense-paid whitetail deer hunting trip this weekend, while their wives were treated to a weekend out on the town. Those events have been canceled as the community reels from the disaster. While we’re keeping all involved in our thoughts, we can’t help but wonder who the hell planned the parade without checking the damn train schedule!?!? Images via AP

Obama isn’t taking any isht from the GOP anymore! POTUS just nominated Susan Rice as his candidate for Secretary of State and, while she may be the current Ambassador to the United Nations, some shady azz Republicans like John McCain are already throwing false accusations her way. According to The Huffington Post : In a series of media appearances on Wednesday, Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) pledged they would do everything in their power to block the possible nomination of Susan Rice, the current ambassador to the United Nations, as secretary of state. The senators have based their objection on Rice’s role in disseminating the White House’s version of events in the days immediately after the September attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. At the time, Rice told several television stations that the attack, which left four Americans including the U.S. ambassador to Libya dead, was not believed to be related to terrorism. Administration officials later acknowledged that this was incorrect, and said the misleading information was the product of incomplete “talking points” from the intelligence community, although Republicans on Capitol Hill believe the White House knew the truth sooner. To McCain, Graham, and a small cadre of colleagues, this is enough to disqualify Rice from a cabinet-level job. “Susan Rice should have known better, and if she didn’t know better, she’s not qualified,” McCain said Wednesday during an appearance on Fox News. “I will do everything in my power to block her from being the United States secretary of state.” In his press conference Wednesday afternoon, Obama took umbrage with this line of attack. “If Senator McCain and Senator Graham and others want to go after someone, they should go after me,” he said. “And I’m happy to have that discussion with them. But for them to go after the United Nations ambassador, who had nothing to do with Benghazi and was simply making a presentation based on intel she had received, and to besmirch her reputation, is outrageous.” Obama also said Rice never had a choice about whether to appear on the talk shows to discuss Benghazi. “She made an appearance at the request of the White House in which she gave her best understanding of the intelligence that had been provided to her,” he said. Some Democrats have said that the Benghazi-related attack on Rice brings to mind another secretary of state nominee, Condoleezza Rice: Her appointment by the Bush administration was opposed by those who felt her advancement of the mistaken notion that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction in Iraq similarly disqualified her from the office. During a 2002 appearance on CNN, Condoleezza Rice had said that while “there will always be some uncertainty” about the intelligence, “we don’t want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud.” When she was later nominated for secretary of state, by which point it had become clear that there were no WMD in Iraq, both McCain and Graham publicly defended her appointment despite the misstatements. Graham and his allies denounced this comparison, saying that Condoleezza Rice’s statements at the time reflected the widely agreed upon understanding of the intelligence community, while Susan Rice should have opted not to speak on the subject without more certainty.”When it comes to Condoleezza Rice, we’re not the only country that thought he was trying to get weapons of mass destruction,” Graham said. America is rapidly approaching the so-called Fiscal Cliff. Maybe you heard. Sign the secession petitions , because this is going to be an epic disaster. Or is it? That, obviously, depends on the outcome … and who you ask. The so-called “Fiscal Cliff” comes on January 1, when several tax cuts expire, and severe cuts to government spending are automatically triggered. It’s also been called “taxmageddon,” with the average American family set to see their taxes increase $3,700 in 2013 unless a new budget deal is stuck. The sticking point to solve the stand-off is what President Barack Obama calls a “balanced approach” of spending cuts and increased revenues. The president campaigned on the pledge to allow the tax rates for the rich to rise, while keeping middle class tax rates where they are currently. Obviously, Obama claims the 2012 election results are proof that the public agrees with him. Just as obviously, plenty of Republicans disagree. The GOP has called for the extension of all Bush-era tax cuts, along with massive spending cuts, in order to reduce the federal budget deficit. Will there be a “grand bargain” in which the two camps essentially split the difference and move on? Or would either side actually prefer the Cliff? The two sides have a few more days to make their cases to the public before Congressional leaders are called to the White House on Friday. That’s when negotiations start in earnest and we learn if the 2012 election made a difference in relations between the two parties. Don’t bet on it. Hopefully, clearer heads will prevail in the end and we will avoid the consequences that economists say could plunge the U.S. back into recession. Then again, this is D.C. How many clear heads even exist there?
The president said that he’d tried to arrange for Childs to attend this final rally, but she told him she still believed he could win North Carolina on Tuesday, and she was going to knock on doors to help get out the vote. “Iowa, in 2008 your voice changed the world. And Edith Childs asked me to ask you that if you’re willing to still stand with me tomorrow… If you’re willing to make sure we finish what we started, she’s pretty sure we’ll win Iowa. She’s pretty sure we’ll win this election ,” h
A woman has been fired and reported to the U.S. Secret Service for a racial slur and apparent assassination threat against President Barack Obama on Facebook. According to California’s Modesto Bee , Denise Helms, 22, went OFF on the social networking site after Obama won reelection over Mitt Romney Tuesday. She called Obama the n-word, adding that “maybe he will be assassinated” this term. Just kidding? Evidently not. Helms was then interviewed by a Sacramento TV station … and she ” wouldn’t mind one bit ” if someone assassinated Obama. Helms was fired Thursday from her job at Cold Stone Creamery. Manager Chris Kegle says the comments are disgusting and have no place within the company, but the pink slip is the least of Helms’ problems right now. Secret Service Agent Scott Gillingham in Sacramento says the incident is being investigated; threats against the POTUS can lead to felony charges. THG NOTE: All you kids (and young adults with no common sense), it probably isn’t worth using the following words, whatever your intention, online: Obvious racial slurs Obvious gay slurs Slavery Holocaust Assassination Generally doesn’t go over too well, however hilarious you think you are. Just putting that out there. You’re welcome. Don’t say we never did anything for you.
Fox News was trying to make a good point and you know… it backfired all up in their self-righteous faces! According to HappyPlace , the image came from data collected on Fox Business: Reader Kenny F. sent us this startling infographic sure to infuriate exactly half of our audience. Apparently this election was not only divided along racial and financial lines, but on intelligence lines as well. Our favorite thing about this graphic is that the data Kenny used came from Fox Business, so if you’re a Romney voter, this is basically Neil Cavuto accidentally calling you an idiot. Of course, Nevada voted for Obama despite being one of the least educated states, but we can probably chalk that up to the fact that he was the safest bet. Good to know the right is wrong…again.
