Is Madonna a Hypocrite With Anti-Smoking Stance?

Madonna is taking a stand against cigarette smoking, yet glamorizes smoking in her new music video for “Girl Gone Wild,” setting off cries of hypocrisy. The topic came up when The Queen of Pop appeared on Today and was grilled over her 15-year-old daughter Lourdes being caught smoking recently. Madonna says she “wasn’t very happy” about the Lourdes Leon picture , adding “I don’t approve of anyone smoking cigarettes, most of all my daughter.” Well, except in the “Girl Gone Wild” video: Madonna – Girl Gone Wild (Official Video) Pressed on the apparent hypocrisy of herself smoking seductively in the video, she says it was just an “accessory” and she doesn’t smoke in real life. That’s very possible. She can use it as part of her video art form and have no interest in partaking, and certainly wish that her teenager daughter not. However, its mere presence in the video may influence others, given that Madonna is one of the more glamorous, legendary performers of all time. Well, at least before MDNA album sales tanked . What do you think? Hypocritical? Or totally different because a music video is an art form and does not dictate how Madonna lives her personal life?

Taylor Swift Releases Official Video for "Safe and Sound"

Taylor Swift + Katniss Everdeen = Utter awesomeness. Granted, the singer doesn’t actually interact with the District 12 resident in the following video – which is for “Safe and Sound,” the single by Swift and The Civil Wars that will be included on The Hunger Games soundtrack – but still. That notion makes us smile. Below, watch as Taylor wanders around the forest alone, barefoot and ragged, never actually meeting with The Civil Wars (who opened for her at the 2012 Grammys ), but eventually picking up the iconic Mockingjay pin from the books and perfectly honoring the story we all know and love. Katy Perry and Russell Brand are so in a fight. No, seriously, it’s bad. So much so that the spouses of a little more than one year parted on expletive terms and spent the holidays 7,000 miles apart. After planning to fly her family via private jet to husband Brand’s London hometown for the holidays, Perry changed course, opting to fly to Hawaii. The reason? “They had a massive fight,” an insider says. “She was like, ‘F–k you. I’m going to do my own thing.’ Russell replied, ‘Fine, f–k you too.'” Which explains why, come December 25, the record-setting singer was seen splashing in the Pacific Ocean off the island of Kauai sans wedding ring . Meanwhile, Brand was catching up with some pals in a pub in chilly Coverack, Cornwall, without his ring on either. They’re definitely having problems . “They haven’t split up just yet, but things aren’t good,” acknowledged the source, adding that the divorce rumors are untrue, but rooted in reality. “The fighting is getting worse.” At issue? Among other things, explains another source: “Katy doesn’t think that Russell respects her parents’ Christian beliefs or her friends.” UPDATE : Looks like it’s officially over, as the actor filed divorce papers today. Lady Gaga’s officially going public with boyfriend Taylor Kinney. With a series of just-released photos in which she makes no attempt to hide her affection, the 25-year-old is finally acknowledging what we’ve known for months: She and The Vampire Diaries ‘ Taylor Kinney are an item, and a cute one at that. Sources say they’re taking it slow, but definitely going strong. Gaga, who first met Kinney on the set of her “You and I” music video (below) when he starred as her love interest and makeout partner, casually slung her arm over her boyfriend’s shoulder as they strolled along a California beach. While the pair appear cozy and are getting along fabulously, a source close to Gaga insists they’re not super serious – mostly because of the strains of her career. “They’re hooking up and getting to know each other,” explains the insider. “Gaga can’t be too committed because she works 24/7. Kim Kardashian isn’t just over Kris Humphries, according to the latest issue of OK! Weekly . She’s already planning for motherhood… … with Reggie Bush! “Kris just wasn’t the guy for Kim,” a source tells the tabloid. “Not as a husband, but certainly not as a father, and ever since they broke up she’s been thinking about Reggie more and more.” The insider goes on to describe the Dolphins running back as “father material,” something that appeals to Kardashian, who has never made a secret of her desire to have children. “Kim has always wanted to be a mom and she knows she will be,” says the source, apparently ignoring Kim’s whining last month about how she may be stuck forever as an aunt . “She has always adored children and she is naturally very maternal.” How does the universally hated Humphries feel about all this? The unnamed mole says Kim’s desire to procreate with Bush is “throwing Kris for a loop” because: “One minute she wants to have kids with him, the next minute she doesn’t want kids at all and she’s saying that she just wants to be a really good aunt. And now people are saying she wants to get pregnant with her ex!” We kan see how that would be konfusing.

Rihanna Releases "You Da One" Video: Watch Now!

Rihanna has just released the music video for her latest single “You Da One.” In the video, the 23-year-old pop singer pays homage to Stanley Kubrick’s 1971 film, A Clockwork Orange , with a variety of wigs and vintage-styled get-ups. Director Melina Matsoukas, who created the superstar’s controversial and successful “We Found Love” and “S&M” videos, is back at the helm on this one too.
