According to a new report, Shaft claims his hands-on involvement in the life and career of Cardi came as a result of him wanting to protect her from her husband and Migos rapper, Offset . Page Six reports : However, sources close to Shaft say that he was just trying to take care of the star — finding her a home, and even buying her new teeth. One said that Shaft had protected her from other vultures — including her new husband, Offset, after he charged her $50,000 for his work on her track “Lick.” According to a source, Offset first demanded $25,000 and then upped his fee, saying it was purely “business.” The source added: “Shaft taught Cardi B the ropes, even to the point of opening her first bank account, buying her new teeth, getting her an apartment and enabling her to transform [and] normalize her day-to-day life. In a tweet posted early Monday morning (July 2), the Migos rapper says a Facetime call from his better half got him out of a ticket jam with police. “W H E N G O D S H O W S Y O U N O B I T C H C O M P A R E S !!!!!!! Just got let go on a pull over for a FaceTime pic with my wife (SHES THE BEST),” Offset tweeted after 4:00 AM ET this morning. Details around the traffic stop haven’t been publicized, but apparently being married to the hottest female rapper in the game has paid off handsomely. The couple quietly tied the knot last year and largely kept that out of the public eye for the most part. Cardi B and Offset are expecting a little girl any day now. King Content / Splash News Cardi B Could Lose Thousands Of Dollars In Endorsements And Appearances Due To Pregnancy Timing is everything and it seems like the timing couldn’t be worse for Cardi B and Offset to bring offspring into the picture. According to TMZ reports that sources close to the rapper say she and her team are expecting to finish her album before the end of summer and tie the release to Bruno Mars’ 2-month tour which starts in September. The issue is that if Cardi is at the beginning of her second trimester she’ll give birth in August. Cardi’s Super Bowl commercial was a huge hit and she has plenty of other deals on the table, including plans to begin production on a film in March. She’s also scheduled to perform at Coachella. There’s also regular walkthroughs and shows, which Cardi charges $60K and $100K respectively so you can imagine that this kid could easily cost her millions. What would you do if you were Cardi?
