Hip-Hop Beef: Lil Wayne Disses The Camel For Questioning Whether His Daddy Can Really Make It Rain!

Lil Tunechi heard Hov’s subliminal shots loud and clear… Earlier in the year when Jay-Z and Kanye West released their ‘ Watch The Throne ‘ track H*A*M the hip-hop community took note of a certain line where Hov quips: “…I’m like, really?/Half-a-billy?/N***a really you got baby (Baby) money/Keep it real with n***as, n***as ain’t got my lady money” This lil shot stemmed from an asinine comment that Bryan “Baby” “Birdman” Williams made about having more money than the RocNation boss. In retaliation for his Baby bad-mouthing, Lil Wayne has recorded a track that leaked yesterday from his upcoming album Carter 4 called “It’s Good” featuring Jadakiss and Drake . Take a listen to the track and pay attention to Wayne’s verse. Wayne intimated that he would possibly use that line for entertainment sake in an MTV interview several months ago. “Me and my wit, given my wit, I would probably play off of it,” Wayne explained. “But I wouldn’t make it a competition, because actually, the subject that he’s talking about in that line, I can’t box with the card. I’d be the first one to tell you that, given my wit, and the type of person that I am, I’d capitalize and I’d play off of it. Yeah, I definitely would.” What do you think of all these shenanigans? Does Wayne even have a chance at 1-upping The God MC Hova in a lyrical competition??? Source Sidebar: Jadakiss, who is featured on this track, went immediately to his twitter page to let it be known he wants no parts of this brouhaha

Question Of The Day: How Do You Monitor Your Children’s Social Networking Activities?

Nosy a$$ mickiefickies…lol Ever wondered why your Mom joined Facebook? Chances are, it was to spy on you. According to a new survey by OnePoll, a whopping 55-percent of parents are using social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, to keep an eye on their children’s online activities; a further 5-percent said they would if they knew how. Eleven percent of parents polled set up their Facebook accounts purely to “snoop” on Jim and Jane, 15-percent have tried to Friend their children (Thanks Mom), with 4-percent of those requests being rejected. Not surprisingly, 13-percent have resorted to logging onto friends accounts in order to check up on their children. When asked to explain their behavior, 36-percent blamed their “overprotective” parental instincts, where as 14-percent said they were just being “nosey”. A sad 24-percent confessed that Facebook was the only way they could find out what their sons and daughters were up to, while 6-percent found that the social networking site allowed them to avoid having “awkward conversations” with their offspring. In 2006, Facebook first opened the door to anyone over the age of 13, including parents. The influx of parental units on the social networking site has not gone down smoothly with school age kids. As of today, there are 7,766 members of the “For the love of god–don’t let parents join Facebook” group, and there are hundreds of other pages dedicated to grumbling about the subject. www.myparentsjoinedfacebook.com, is a website set up purely to collect embarrassing parent/child Facebook moments and share them with the world. It’s worth checking out before accepting your Mom’s friend request. All jokes aside, some people may argue that children deserve their privacy like anyone else, which is partly true. However, with so many crazy folks in the world, especially on the internet, kids online behaviors should be monitored to ensure that they are safe and not subjecting themselves to unknown dangers. For those with parents, how do you monitor your childrens social network use?? Source

Bossip Sports Exclusive: NBA Legend Dr. J And His Son Are Set To Relaunch The ABA!

Looks like the old school is going to make a big comeback! According to sports industry insiders Julius “Dr. J” Erving and his son Julius “J. Erv” Erving III, along with Ether Marketing owner Deon Taylor have acquired the rights to the American Basketball Association (ABA) in which Dr. J won 3 championships and four MVP awards while a member of the Virgina Squires. The Dr. and his music executive son own a sports marketing firm call 6 Sports, will re-launch the defunct league (Julius Erving III) Sources say that the resurgence of the ABA will be akin to the feeling of “old school” basketball with a slightly updated style. Hard-nosed play, free-flowing offense, and a overall more exciting brand of basketball minus the antics of an And1 or Harlem Globetrotters type of game. In addition, we are told that there will be a push for celebrities to own the teams outright to help draw attention to league. Of the twelve teams scheduled to participate in Miami, Atlanta, New York, New Jersey, Toronto, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Baltimore, Los Angeles, etc, high-profile stars like Drake, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lady Gaga, and others could possibly be the head honchos of their own city’s team. With the impending NBA lockout next year this league could easily be the best brand of professional basketball around in 2012. Players from all realms of basketball from college, current NBA players, to blackballed NBA players like Allen Iverson or Stephon Marbury. From what we understand there already several networks scrambling to retain the TV rights to air the games once everything is in place. Neither Dr. J, Julius Erving III, nor Deon Taylor have commented on the newly acquired league.

Kush Chronic-les: Guess Which Soul Legend Says She’s Only Been Clean Seven Years…

One of your parents’ favorite singers delivered a stellar performance at the 2011 Essence Music Festival on Saturday. She also dropped a bombshell about her drug use… something we might have guessed, but wouldn’t have expected her to be so honest about. Do you know who it was? Chaka Khan made her show at the Superdome on Saturday quite the experience for her fans. Taking to the main stage in the New Orleans Superdome after El Debarge, the 58-year-old not only treated fans to a high-energy performance but touched on her past drug addiction in the midst of her musical set, which included ‘I Feel For You,’ ‘Through the Wire,’ ‘I’m Every Woman’ and ‘Aint Nobody.’ Although Khan’s performance set may have been lighthearted, when it came to the matter of her road to recovery from drug addiction, she sang a different tune. “This next song is a song I wrote but I don’t remember writing it because I was high,” she admitted of the song [‘Angel’]. “That was then, this is now, I’m seven years clean.” Seven years though? Not to knock her accomplishment, but that’s mighty recent, isn’t it? What do you think she was on?? Source
