Tank Arrested After Routine Traffic Stop Tank is cooling his heels in an LA jail this evening. Apparently the R&B crooner got pulled over for some vehicular chitchatter, but his refusal to cooperate with the LAPD got him cuffed and booked. Via TMZ : R&B singer Tank got busted using his phone while driving … and ended up getting arrested for the way he dealt with the cops … TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell us Tank was in the Van Nuys area of L.A. when officers spotted him behind the wheel, and on his phone — a major no-no in Cali. We’re told things went south during the stop when officers asked Tank for his drivers license. He allegedly refused to hand it over … so he was arrested for failure to obey an officer. He’s still in custody. Damn, man. Why doesn’t anyone in LA ever want to hand over that ID ?
We reported on Daniele Watts being detained , handcuffed, and humiliated by LAPD after she showed public affection to her white husband, Brian James Lucas. The “PIGS” thought she was a “prostitute.” Now, Daniele took to her facebook to tell about the incident: Today I was handcuffed and detained by 2 police officers from the Studio City Police Department after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place. When the officer arrived, I was standing on the sidewalk by a tree. I was talking to my father on my cell phone. I knew that I had done nothing wrong, that I wasn’t harming anyone, so I walked away. A few minutes later, I was still talking to my dad when 2 different police officers accosted me and forced me into handcuffs. As I was sitting in the back of the police car, I remembered the countless times my father came home frustrated or humiliated by the cops when he had done nothing wrong. I felt his shame, his anger, and my own feelings of frustration for existing in a world where I have allowed myself to believe that “authority figures” could control my BEING… my ability to BE!!!!!!! I was sitting in that back of this cop car, filled with adrenaline, my wrist bleeding in pain, and it occurred to me, that even there, I STILL HAD POWER OVER MY OWN SPIRIT. Those cops could not stop me from expressing myself. They could not stop the cathartic tears and rage from flowing out of me. They could not force me to feel bad about myself. Yes, they had control over my physical body, but not my emotions. My feelings. My spirit was, and still is FREE. I will continue to look any “authority figure” in the eye without fear. NO POLICE OFFICER OR GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL IS MORE POWERFUL THAN ME. WE ARE EQUALS. I KNOW THAT I WILL ALWAYS BE FREE BECAUSE THAT IS THE NATURE OF MY SPIRIT. And moreover, I deeply enjoyed connecting with the cops who detained me. I allowed myself to be honest about my anger, frustration, and rage as tears flowed from my eyes. The tears I cry for a country that calls itself “the land of the free and the home of the brave” and yet detains people for claiming that very right. Today I exist with courage, knowing that I am blessed to have experienced what I did today. All of those feelings, no matter how uncomfortable. These feelings are what builds my internal strength, my ability to grow through WHATEVER may happen to me. That internal knowing is what guides me in this world. Not the law, not fear, not mistrust of government or cops or anything else. In this moment there is a still small voice whispering to me. It says: You are love. You are free. You are pure. Police Wrongfully Detain Actress, Assume She’s A Prostitute Via DishNation : Dish Nation has learned EXCLUSIVELY that Martin Lawrence’s TV daughter on the FX series “Partners” was roughed up by Los Angeles police who mistakenly thought the actress was a prostitute. Cops in Studio City assumed Daniele Watts, who also appeared in the Academy Award-winning film “Django Unchained,” was soliciting a man who she was kissing in public. The man, Chef Brian James Lucas, just happens to be her husband. An angry Lucas ranted on Facebook that he and Daniele were just “showing our affection publicly” when police accused Daniele of being a “ho” and him of being her “trick.” James explained in his post from today that police panicked when they saw a “white boy and a hot bootie shorted black girl and thought we were a HO (prostitute) & a TRICK (client).” “So they handcuffed her and threw her roughly into the back of the cop car until they could figure out who she was. In the process of handcuffing her, they cut her wrist, which was truly NOT COOL!!! Of course, they had to let her go eventually cuz we weren’t a threat to anyone.” Cops eventually let the couple go, but they’re “pissed off and humiliated,” says a friend. “They weren’t expecting D (Daniele) to be so intelligent and outspoken, and left truly feeling the fear vibration finding out that they had just fu**** with 2 celebrities (Celebrated People).” How messed up! At least she left the situation unharmed and without an arrest.
What kind of country club is “too good” for the POTUS??? President Obama Turned Away From New York Country Clubs Most country clubs want prestigious clientele using their facilities. Who’s more prestigious in this nation than the President ? Via DailyMail : Several exclusive golf clubs in New York wouldn’t let President Barack Obama play on their courses on Labor Day weekend, it emerged on Wednesday. The Trump National Golf Club, the Winged Foot Golf Club and the Willow Ridge Country Club all turned down Obama, NBC 4 New York reports. The news station says the president’s advance team gave courses only a day or two of notice that Obama would be in the area, and clubs may have rejected the White House’s request to protect their wealthy members from being inconvenienced during the holiday weekend. Membership dues at the swanky golf clubs run upward of $100,000 a year. NBC 4 says it learned of the president’s golf plans from sources who were informed of the calls made by Obama’s advance staff. The news station says it reached out to the clubs that were approached, but they declined to comment. Obama ended up golfing at his customary course on the grounds of the Fort Belvoir military installation in Virginia the next day. Whether they have an issue with his policies or his skin color…the president is the president! SMH.
What were you thinking ????? Suspected Burglar Caught After Falling Asleep In Home A Florida man was recently arrested after being caught soundly asleep in a home he reportedly burglarized. The New York Daily News reports: Ya snooze, ya lose! Deputies in Florida say they caught a house burglar sleeping on the job while responding to a 911 call Monday. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Dion Davis, was described as passed out on a bed beside a bag full of stolen jewelry. He “didn’t even notice the deputies taking pictures!” the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office captioned his photo on their Facebook page with a playful hashtag reading: “FloriDUH.” Davis, who’s Facebook page lists him as a ‘Security Equipment Technician,’ was arrested for burglary of an unoccupied dwelling while unarmed. Deputies said he was first discovered by a cleaning lady at her client’s home in Nokomis. LOL @ the sheriff’s office cracking jokes on Facebook.Why’d this guy pass out “on the job”?????

NYPD “Hip Hop” Task Force Beefs Up Surveillance Via Page Six : The NYPD’s “Hip-Hop Squad” has a number of rappers and stars — including Drake, Chris Brown and French Montana — on a special watch list and is stepping up surveillance on their New York parties in the wake of the Suge Knight shooting in LA, we’re told. The shadowy specialist unit, known locally as the “Hip-Hop Police,” keeps a list of rappers and hip-hop stars whose shows and night club appearances are closely monitored. It also includes Fabolous, Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, Fat Joe, Jim Jones and Lil Wayne. A source told us: “All New York club owners are required to inform the Hip-Hop Police in advance if anyone on the watch list is coming in. They want to be there to monitor the crowd and in case any trouble starts.” The insider added, “They don’t want any situations like the Suge Knight shooting. If something does go down, they want to already be on the scene.” Another source tells us the hip-hop cops are well-known in the urban music industry, and “if there is a show going on, they are there. Their job is to investigate crimes and curtail violence in the hip-hop industry. So when they find out there is a beef between rappers, they monitor it. They are plainclothes cops, they go to clubs and shows. They were at J.Lo’s show in The Bronx because French Montana and Fat Joe were coming.” The source added that the hip-hop cops are welcomed by most in the business: “Let’s say there is a show… and they know there’s a beef going on that could escalate to a fight or shooting. The police may say they need to change set times and they don’t want two artists like French Montana and Jim Jones to perform too close together. Then they’ll go and watch. They’ll go backstage.” Our spy elaborated, “It’s better to have them on hand. They’re not there to bother any of these artists, but make sure things run like they’re supposed to run. The other part of it is, there’s a lot of really street-leaning gangster guys on the fringes of the industry… The police task force keeps tabs on who is around certain rappers and what movements they are going through.” We can see how they can try to rationalize this as being “for the greater good,” but what a slipery slope. Dream Defenders Human Rights Group Launches Their #HandsUp Movement, Demands Change In Policing The Dream Defenders human rights group just went live with a moving video and call to action for citizens seeking change to seek out our local U.S. Attorneys and demand change in law enforcement. The time for change is now. The organization has posted a list of demands as follows: National Demands: President Obama must “Do the Right Thing” and go to Ferguson to meet with local black and brown youth. Attorney General Eric Holder must also meet with local black and brown youth across the country who endure “Zero Tolerance” and “Broken Windows” policing. Ensure transparency, accountability, and safety in our communities by requiring front-facing cameras in police departments with records of racial discrimination by way of arrests, killings, and excessive force complaints. Police need consequences, too. Officers who discharge their weapon on an unarmed person should be suspended without pay pending further investigation. And their name and policing histories should be made available to the public. Right now, the officers who killed John Crawford are sitting at home on paid leave. Tanks and tear gas don’t ever belong in our communities or in the ownership of local police departments. Police should be representatives of the communities they serve, not militant. Community members should have more say, input during citizen review boards. Local Demand: A federal investigation into the case of Israel Hernandez , the office of Kathryn Rundle, and the Miami Dade, Miami Beach, and Miami Gardens Police Departments. The officer was supposed to part of the effort to keep peace, but instead two separate videos uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday show him pointing a semi-automatic assault rifle at protestors and shouting: ‘I will f****** kill you.’ The incident happened just before midnight on Tuesday during the latest of several protests that have followed the August 9 shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown by a Ferguson police officer. On the video, a man is heard saying, ‘Oh my God! Gun raised!’ as the officer approaches. The identity of the man who shot the video is not known. ‘My hands are up, bro! My hands are up!’ the man said. The officer walks near the man with his gun pointed and appears to say, ‘I will f****** kill you.’ Another protestor then asks the officer to identify himself. ‘What’s your name, sir?’ he asks. ‘Go f*** yourself,’ the officer replies. In another video, protestors can be heard shouting at the officer to lower his weapon. St. Louis County police spokesman Brian Schellman said a county police sergeant took immediate action, telling the officer to lower the weapon and escorting him from the area. The officer was suspended indefinitely on Wednesday afternoon. ‘A St. Ann Police Officer pointed a semi-automatic assault rifle at a peaceful protestor after a verbal exchange. ‘It was at this time a St. Louis County Police Sergeant walked over and immediately took action, forcing the officer to lower the weapon, and escorting him away from the area,’ said a statement from the county police department. ‘The unified command strongly feel these actions are inappropriate, and not indicative of the officers who have worked daily, to keep the peace.’ At lease Officer Go-Fawk-Yourself was taken off duty…so we’re told. But how many more are on the grounds like him? These cops are getting drunk with power and seem to feel that they ARE the law rather than the protectors/enforcers of it.
