According to Deadline , Kiari “Offset” Cephus will be leading a new series for the mobile video platform Quibi called Skrrt with Offset. He will talk with high-profile guests in pop culture about their rides and the personal stories behind them. Offset is a car aficionado as well, so it should make for some entertaining T.V. The show is the product of STXtelevision and Scott Weintrob , the creator of the Netflix hit show Fastest Car and the director of the Emmy award-winning Top Gear. “We are excited to be partnering with Quibi on our second new series for the platform,” explained Jason Goldberg, Chief Creative Officer of STX Entertainment’s New Media Group & Alternative Content. “The team is forward-thinking and genuinely looking for new programming that you won’t find anywhere else. As producers, we look forward to working with Offset and creating shows that will be fun, memorable and will feature rides that take insanity to the next level of superfandom in the world of the coolest cars.” Offset is also excited about the project, saying: “Quibi will give me a chance to connect with my fans in yet another way. During an interview with Nick Cannon on Power 106 in Los Angeles, N.O.R.E was asked about his thoughts on the newly released project, when the “Super Thug” rapper frankly labeled it “trash” before poking fun at Kanye for what he deemed as fumbling the Clipse reunion. “I love Kanye,” N.O.R.E said. “I wanna be clear, how the f*ck you got Clipse on a record that’s not good? Jesus is mad at this n*gga.” But the album wasn’t the only thing that rubbed N.O.R.E. the wrong way about Kanye’s latest release, the Queens Hip-Hop veteran also revealed that Kanye’s lack of Black outlets regarding the stops during his current press run to promote the album also made him a little upset. “I’ma be honest, I’m a hater. I’m kinda hater. Let me explain why,” N.O.R.E. continued. “Zane Lowe is a person that I respect but I don’t respect. As a person who made the War Report album, I’ve done records with Mariah Carey. When I see you ever go to any place other than us—the culture—I have a problem with that.” N.O.R.E may have an issue with Kanye’s press run stops, but Kanye himself has already let his Black fans know that their opinion really doesn’t matter. Source: HBO Game of Thrones fans who are still lamenting over the final season of the hit HBO show might find this news welcoming. During its big HBO Max presentation, the company announced the new spin-off House of the Dragon . HBO saved the best for last during the presentation revealing the prequel to Thrones will be produced by George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal and will be based on Fire & Blood. The show will take place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. Fans will also be elated to learn that Miguel Sapochnik, who directed the “Battle of the Bastards” episode, which is considered by most GOT fans as the best one, will serve as co-showrunner. He will also be directing the pilot and additional episodes, so that should curb any fears still lingering from the final season. Plus, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss will not be attached to this show in any capacity. When it premieres, we will be getting 10 episodes and will serve as a part of Sapochnik’s overall deal to develop shows for HBO and HBO Max — the company’s new streaming service that will cost $14.99 — when it launches in May 2020. In a statement about HBO programming president, Casey Bloys spoke on the new show stating: “The Game of Thrones universe is so rich with stories. Curry will undergo tests and evaluation as a timetable has yet to be set for how long the star player will be on the shelf. ESPN reports that Curry, 31, collided with Phoenix Suns big man Aron Baynes while making a drive towards the basket. Baynes, attempting to take a charge, fell on Curry’s left hand and the pain from the injury was apparent right away. What makes this a tough injury is the Warriors are already missing Klay Thompson due to ACL surgery and talented big man Kevon Looney is also out for a few more games. The Suns beat out the Warriors 121-110, handing the California team a 1-3 record at the moment. Coach Steve Kerr addressed the media after the game stating that while the loss of Curry and Thompson are tough, the team is moving ahead in an attempt to find what pieces are in place to hopefully salvage their season.
