Zayn Malik: I Left One Direction to Make "Real Music"

Remember when  Zayn Malik quit One Direction ? And claimed it was because he wanted to live a normal life for awhile? Yeah. That was pretty much a lie. The artist signed a contract with RCA Records on Thursday, posting a picture of himself doing so on Twitter and writing as a caption: “I guess I never explained why I left , it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who i really am! #realmusic #RCA !” Yes. Real music . We wonder how One Direction fans will feel about this hastag. Malik, of course, did supposedly reveal his reasons for leaving One Direction back in March, explaining at the time: “I’d like to apologize to the fans if I’ve let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. “I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.” He has had some time, we suppose, but there’s been talk of a Malik solo career since the moment he left Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and company. Prior to Zayn’s departure, the singer had taken a hiatus from the band’s tour, citing stress likely related to chatter he had stepped out on fiancee Perrie Edwards. “I’m 22 years old,” he Tweeted in response. “I love a girl named Perrie Edwards…And there’s a lot of jealous f–ks in this world I’m sorry for what it looks like.” With how One Direction supporters are likely to respond to the next phase of his professional life, Zayn may soon be issuing another apology.

Jada Pinkett Smith: Cheating on Will Smith With August Alsina?!

There are unexpected Hollywood couples, and then there’s this rumor about Jada Pinkett Smith and recording artist August Alsina. Not only is Smith 21 years older than Alsina, she has a son that practically could’ve gone to high school with him. Oh, and there’s also the small matter of Jada being married to Will Smith for the past 18 years. Despite all of that, Jada and August were reportedly spotted getting close at London’s Wireless music festival over the weekend.  Over the years, there have been rumors that Will and Jada have an open marriage , and the couple has done little to deny those reports. In fact, just last week, Jada seemed to confirm the arrangement when she stated that she’s not Will’s “watcher” when asked if she ever worries about him cheating.  So it seems that the Smiths have something of an open door policy when it comes to fidelity. Even so, this is the first time that either Will or Jada has been caught engaging in any sort of public flirtation. Of course, it’s worth noting that Jada recently wrapped filming on Magic Mike XXL . If she didn’t get the opportunity use her marital hall pass points on set, we can see why she would be eager to make up for it soon after.

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard: Leaving US For Missionary Work!

When Derick Dillard quit his job at Wal-Mart  earlier this month, there was much speculation regarding why a newlywed first-time father would leave a comfortable position in the career field of his choice. Some guessed that Derick was preparing for a role on the long-rumored Jill and Jessa Duggar spinoff series. Others assumed his departure was part of the family’s effort to keep a low profile in the wake of the Josh sexual abuse scandal . Now, the reason for Derick’s career change has become clear, and many are taking it as a sign that 19 Kids and Counting will never return to the airwaves. “God has put a desire in our hearts to serve Him internationally for longer than the typical short-term mission trip, but we didn’t know yet how God would fulfill that desire in us,” Derick and wife Jill Dillard wrote on their personal blog. “Earlier this year God brought about an opportunity much earlier than either of us was expecting. Several months ago a new opportunity arose for us to serve God on the mission field. “After much prayer and seeking Godly counsel, we realized that taking this opportunity and moving overseas in order to serve is the best option for our family…We are currently preparing to leave the US and begin our new endeavor in July.” Derick and Jill did not disclose the location or duration of their missionary work, but it sounds as though they intend to be out of the country for at least several months. Some fans are speculating that the couple reached its decision in response to news that TLC plans to cancel 19 Kids and Counting View Slideshow: Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard Photos!

Taye Diggs First Black Man To Star In “HedWig And The Angry Inch” Taye Diggs is returning to his Broadway roots…this time making history as the first Black actor to take the lead role in “Hedwig & The Angry Inch,” a musical about a washed-up German rock star who suffers a botched sex change operation and ends up chasing down a former lover who stole all his songs. Via MailOnline : He is set to return to Broadway in July. And on Thursday Taye Diggs was finally unveiled as the lead androgynous rock star in a brand new poster for the Broadway revival Hedwig And The Angry Inch. In the official poster, the 44-year-old appeared crestfallen while sporting a full face of glittering makeup that included shimmering blue eye shadow and hot pink lips. In May, Variety reported that Taye was next in line to replace Darren Criss as the famed East German rocker. The actor is the first African American man to tackle the role in the Big Apple. Taye recently gushed about the monumental role in an interview with People, referring to the opportunity as ‘the role of a lifetime’ before adding, ‘I also like wearing nail polish.’ Taye is following in the footsteps of actors Neil Patrick Harris, Michael C. Hall, and Darren Criss, who have all taken on the role of Hedwig. Taye rightfully seems pretty excited about being the first Black man to take on this legendary Broadway role.
