Woman Investigated By Child Protective Services For Viral Photos An Ohio woman thought she’s take some “funny” pics of her baby granddaughter getting ready to be roast for dinner last week. Apparently her Facebook timeline didn’t quite catch the joke. Via MailOnline : An Ohio woman thought she was being funny when she photographed her baby granddaughter with duct tape on her face and lying in a roasting pan – but Facebook users who saw the images disagreed. The grandmother, Jackie Sheaks, of Columbus, Ohio, set off a firestorm online that drew the attention of the local sheriff’s office when she shared the prank photos of her granddaughter. In one of the image, the child’s pacifier had been secured to her cheeks with two pieces of duct tape. In another, the infant is resting inside a large turkey roasting pan next to some potatoes. Mrs Sheaks explained this week that she uploaded the snapshots online hoping to amuse her Facebook friends ‘It started as just a joke,’ she told 10TV. ‘We put a little tape on the pacifier because we were being silly.’ But instead of compliments on her sense of humor and photography skills Mrs Sheaks got a visit from the sheriff and Child Protective Services, who expressed concern for the well-being of the little girl in the pictures. Speaking to local media outlets with her granddaughter in her lap, Jackie Sheaks insisted that she an her husband are not horrible people and would never harm their little girl. Tommy Sheaks said their family have been subjected to harassment online since their unusual baby photos went viral. Mrs Sheaks added that although she has been photographing her relatives’ children for many years, she learned her lesson about sharing her prank snapshots online. ‘What we think is funny other people don’t (and) it will never happen again. It’s definitely taught us a lesson,’ she said. The little’s girl’s mother, who is not being named, said that she did not find the photos taken by Jackie Sheaks objectionable. What do you think? However, one “Christian” radio host sees this prospect as a promising possibility to rid the United States of homosexuality, promiscuity, and other perversions he sees fit to be cleansed of — as if the disease would be so selective as to only target those HE has an issue with. Take a listen: Via The Libertarian Republic : Rick Wiles announced on his Christian talk show program that, “Ebola could solve America’s problems with atheism, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity, pornography, and abortion.” Wiles, host of the “Trunews” show seemed enthusiastic about the outbreak and the potential for it to kill the groups of people he despises. “It may be the great attitude adjustment that I believe is coming,” he said. Wiles is also on the record for claiming that President Obama may intentionally spread the disease so that he can have the power to declare martial law. He believes that this is the opportunity the president has been looking for in order to throw people into FEMA camps. “If Ebola becomes a global plague, you better make sure the blood of Jesus is upon you, you better make sure you have been marked by the angels so that you are protected by God,” Wiles ranted. “If not, you may be a candidate to meet the Grim Reaper.” SMH! Well since he thinks it would be just great if a pandemic broke out on US soil, we suggest he head on over to an affected area and contract a case himself. But — don’t be too shocked when this “sinful” nation doesn’t let you back in for treatment, though!

Vanessa Williams revealed a deeply personal secret on Oprah’s Master Class last night: She was sexually abused at the age of 10. The long-time actress said the culprit was an older cool who made everything seem “cool” and that the incident took place when Williams was on vacation with a friend’s family. “She came into the room where my friend and I were sleeping and she told me to lie down on the floor. She took my bottoms off and she said, ‘Be quiet,’ and she went down on me,” Williams admitted. “And at 10 years old, I had no idea what it was, but I knew it felt good and I knew I shouldn’t be saying anything, and I didn’t tell anyone. It felt good but also something that was not supposed to be happening.” Williams, whose television career includes a memorable stint on Desperate Housewives, said such an experience awakens “your sexuality at an age where it shouldn’t be awakened.” “Had that not happened in my life and had I had an opportunity to have a normal courtship with a boyfriend at 16 or whatever… there wouldn’t have been that shame that was always haunting me,” she explained. “It made me more sexually promiscuous and more sexually curious at a younger age than I should have been.” In 2012, Williams also admitted to having an abortion as a teenager. How did this molestation affect her past? How does it affect her present and future? “I certainly had struggles in my past. It didn’t change who I was, but it informed what I know not to do in the future or what I know to let go of. It’s a continual lesson of just not holding onto the past. “Yes, it helps inform the future, but you have another opportunity to do things differently, to let new things happen in your life. You have to embrace that.”

The View is getting a major makeover. ABC confirmed on Thursday that neither Sherri Shepherd nor Jenny McCarthy will return to the afternoon talk show this fall, with the former saying via statement: “It’s been seven wonderful years on The View and after careful consideration it is time for me to move on. I am extremely grateful to Barbara Walters and Bill Gedde for giving me the opportunity. “I look forward to the business opportunities that lay ahead for me and I am incredibly grateful to my View family and my fans for supporting me on this journey.” Shepherd’s exit comes as a bit of a surprise, but talk of McCarthy leaving has been circulating for weeks now. The controversial blonde Tweeted soon after the news broke that “my View will be changing too. As will with many hard working folks,” and later added of her soon-to-be-former colleague: “If Sherri goes… I go too. #sisters.” Based on the above selfie with Donnie Wahlberg, Shepherd and McCarthy don’t seem too broken up about their ousting, do they? “The View will be moving in an exciting new direction next season and ABC has made decisions to evolve the show creatively,” ABC said its own statement, as only Whoopi Goldberg is currently signed for next season. Barrymore gave birth to her second daughter in April and while she passed up the opportunity to name her kids Rhaegal and Viserion (which would’ve been awesome) she made up for it by posting this photo of herself, her adorable kids, and a shirt every mother should own: Yes, Drew even manages a Khaleesi-esque scowl, as though she were facing down the masters of Meereen rather than posing for a hilarious photo. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is down two housewives as Carlton Gebbia and Joyce Giraud were fired this week after just one season on Bravo. What does the former have to say about her dismissal? E! News’ Giuliana Rancic caught up with Carlton, the franchise’s first Wiccan, at the premiere of Maleficent, and she hinted that she is in fact gone. Not that she’s looking at this news as devastating. While she hasn’t “officially been notified yet by Bravo,” Carlton is already plotting her next reality TV move, calling her RHOBH exit “a blessing.” “I sort of look at it as a blessing in disguise because my husband does have a project in the works, a reality show,” Carlton revealed to Giuliana . “It’s something that would give me the opportunity to work with him. I was contractually obligated for a three-year deal and if that’s the case, I’m not anymore.” She is married to David Gebbia, owner of Stockcross Financial Services. Carlton adds, in closing, “I really have enjoyed working for Bravo!” However, she does also confess that, “I would like to go into a show and not have to watch knives coming at my back.
