Everyone’s favorite teenage Kardashian-in-training, Kendall Jenner , was at the KIIS FM Jingle Ball the other night, and judging from these pictures, I’m guessing she went into the gifting lounge. Either that or she always carries around wireless speakers to awkwardly hold up on the red carpet. Anyway, since the holidays are such a great time for charity, I think it’s just so heartwarming that someone as underprivileged as Bruce Jenner’s daughter got the opportunity to fill a giant bag with free crap. It’s truly in keeping with the holiday spirit. Too little too late?? Angus T. Jones released a statement grovelling apologizing for callin’ out his own dayum show earlier this week. While lots of folks have been wondering if he jumped on that crazy train, it seems Angus put the cup of kool-aid down and realized that $8 milli he’s making a year looks pretty good…even if his show is ‘flith’. According to TMZ , he’s got 99 problems and losin’ his job may be one: “I have been the subject of much discussion, speculation and commentary over the past 24 hours. While I cannot address everything that has been said or right every misstatement or misunderstanding, there is one thing I want to make clear. Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked and over the past ten years who have become an extension of my family. Chuck Lorre, Peter Roth and many others at Warner Bros. and CBS are responsible for what has been one of the most significant experiences in my life to date. I thank them for the opportunity they have given and continue to give me and the help and guidance I have and expect to continue to receive from them. I also want all of the crew and cast on our show to know how much I personally care for them and appreciate their support, guidance and love over the years. I grew up around them and know that the time they spent with me was in many instances more than with their own families. I learned life lessons from so many of them and will never forget how much positive impact they have had on my life. I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.” Did he just go back on everything he was trying to stand up for??? Images via tumblr
The storm came within 840 miles of Opportunity’s location. On the opposite side of the red planet, a weather station aboard NASA’s newest rover, Curiosity, detected changes in air pressure and overnight temperature related to the storm. NASA is tracking a regional dust storm on Mars, but says it has not affected the operations of its two rovers on the surface. The space agency said Wednesday the storm raging in the Martian southern hemisphere was spotted earlier this month by the Mars Reconnai
Michea Crawford is some babe who lived in Montreal at one point in time…before moving to NYC on her quest to being some kind of hot model… I don’t think I’ve ever met her…..reminding me of another lost opportunity….one in which I coulda become her best friend ever…helping her take over the world….carrying her purse to gigs…doing whatever it took to get her trust so that I could make my move to touch her breast tenderly while she’s had one too many drinks…. I could have wrote love songs or love poems…and gazed in her eyes…and whispered sweet nothings to her….we could have got matching tattoos…and held hands in the rain…we could have had a family and kids..and spent the rest of our lives together…our love eternal…. But too late for that now…I don’t know much about her…other than that she’s got potential to be fucking famous…and here she is in catalog shots for Elle Macpherson lingerie…even though I hate catalog shots for any lingerie….I still like looking at babes half naked….especially one I could potentially run into on the street one day when she’s visiting her old digs….giving me the opportunity…to have her sign my tit….we’re all allowed to have dreams people…it’s fucking thanksgiving…and I give thanks to having dreams….
Let me start off by saying I never thought I’d be writing a My Bieber Experience, and let me also say I am so thankful that I am now able to! My friend and I bought tickets in May 2012 for the Believe Tour in Louisville, on Nov 2, 2012. We bought a VIP package (without M&G) so we had great seats. I was so happy and thankful for that opportunity, I was SURE they’d sell out! Then we found out about the contest on bieberfever.com, so we decided to enter. We never imagined we’d win, but the day before the show we got an email saying we won meet and greet passes! I was shaking and screaming running around my house, calling everyone I knew! The rest of the night I kept saying, “Is this real life?” and randomly screaming because I still couldn’t register the fact that I was meeting Justin Bieber. My mom was so annoyed. So the day of the concert we got to the arena, got our wristbands, and made our way inside for the M&G. My friend spotted Kenny so I yelled, “Hey Kenny! You follow me on Twitter!” and waved like a fool. He nodded and smiled back. We then waited in the line for the M&G, which went fairly fast and Dan Kanter came out during it but I didn’t get a picture, but I did say hi and he asked if we were excited for the show. Finally it was OUR turn! We were in groups of 6, and my friend and I ended up being stuck on the end but that’s okay. When Kenny opened the curtain he remembered me and asked for a high five and asked me my name. Then I handed Fredo two letters from my friends (@AmaniforSPCA and @BlessKidrauhl). He later tweeted them after reading the letters…yay! We took the picture, and while walking out I was the last one. I kind of just stared at Justin because I was in shock, like, he’s real, he’s two feet from me. He looked so sad which made me sad. I smiled like an idiot and waved and he smiled and waved back and said “I hope you enjoy the show!” and I replied, “OH I will!” and he said, “Oh I KNOW you will!” and I felt like he was flirting with me haha maybe not but a girl can dream, right? I couldn’t believe Justin Bieber just spoke to me to me! I screamed when we walked outside and was so sad it was over so fast. While we were waiting in out seats for the show tos start, I DMed Kenny on Twitter. He responded to me the next night, Saturday . I was in shock at that, too but so happy! Then the concert came. We were 11 th row from the stage. I saw Grandpa Bruce and took pics of him, and I saw Grandma Diane and took her pic. Fredo and Allison walked by a few times to find the OLLG. Eventually Kenny came out and stood with Bruce to watch Justin. I waved at Kenny and he smiled and waved back, he remembered me! Later on, Fredo was standing over there too, and I smiled and waved at him and he smiled and nodded. Nick Demoura walked by me and I smiled and waved, once again, and he nodded and smiled. I felt kind of like a crazy person waving and smiling to the team any chance I got but I knew it was my only opportunity to do it, so I may as well look crazy than regret NOT saying hi to them. It was one of the best days/nights of my entire life. I will never forget how I felt, all thanks to Justin and his music, and Justin’s amazing team. It is so cliché but TRULY, Never Say Never, because it could happen to you. I had to wait a couple years but my opportunity arose, and it was nothing short of amazing! @lyssxx0 Follow this link: Let me start off by saying I never thought I’d be writing a My…
Respect your elders and listen to this lady! While many Republicans have been acting super salty over Obama’s re-election , former First Lady Barbara Bush says she’s tired of election talk and ready to get on with another term for Obama! Via HuffPo reports : Former U.S. first lady Barbara Bush said on Thursday that she’s ready to move beyond this year’s campaign season, in comments that came at an Austin conference the week after President Barack Obama’s re-election. “I’m tired now of the elections,” Bush, who had endorsed Republican Mitt Romney, said at a forum on America’s first ladies. “People spoke. Move on, get on with it. I want to do other things and not to be ugly.” Bush, sporting a double strand of her signature pearls, joined former first lady Laura Bush on a panel for the Enduring Legacies of America’s First Ladies conference at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library. The first ladies avoided offering political opinions, but Barbara Bush did issue a stern warning to both Republicans and Democrats. “They are going to have to compromise,” said Barbara Bush, the wife of former President George H.W. Bush. “It’s not a dirty word.” Both first ladies reminisced about spectacular Christmases at the White House and cited family time spent at Camp David as the setting of some of their favorite memories. When asked what was the biggest misconception about her husband, former President George W. Bush, during his time in office, Laura Bush said, “That he was a heedless cowboy character.” Moderator Mark Updegrove, director of the LBJ library, asked the women if one ever can be prepared to be the first lady and without hesitation, both answered yes. “If you are the wife of a governor or the wife of a vice president, I think you can be prepared for it,” said Barbara Bush. “Or if your mother-in-law was the first lady and you watched her,” Laura Bush said. “I feel I really had a huge advantage.” Earlier in the day, during a panel featuring presidential children, Jenna Bush Hager, one of Laura and George W. Bush’s twin daughters, revealed that her grandmother Barbara Bush’s family nickname is “The Enforcer.” Hager also divulged the tidbit that her mother, a fan of reggae superstar Bob Marley, is a “secret Rastafarian.” Pure comedy at the “secret Rastafarian” business. We know that has to be deeper than just being a Bob Marley fan! Props to Barbara Bush for not acting like a lil whiny crybaby like most of these Romney supporters! WENN
Did you know Hostess factories were closing their doors today?? While we were over here hoping the strike would come to an end, Hostess execs didn’t fold on their shady azz decision to shut things down today. According to ABC News : On Hostess Brands’ last day of shipping its iconic snacks, entrepreneurial eBay sellers have taken the opportunity to tap into buyers’ Hostess panic, selling boxes for 95 percent more than grocery stores. In one Food Emporium grocery store in New York City, Twinkies were sold out by 1:30 p.m. ET. In its place, was a box of 8 Hostess Strawberry Cupcakes, sitting next to several other Hostess products. Retailing there for $4.29 for a box of ten Twinkies, one eBay seller sold a box for $59.99. Other boxes were on sale for $100 or more. Hostess’ final shipments take place Friday, said Erik Halvorson, a spokesman for Hostess, the same day CEO Gregory F. Rayburn said it filed a motion with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to close its business and sell its assets. Halvorson said retail prices for Hostess products vary. The company had filed for bankruptcy twice. The company filed in 2004 and then again in January of this year. “We deeply regret the necessity of today’s decision, but we do not have the financial resources to weather an extended nationwide strike,” said CEO Gregory F. Rayburn in a statement on Friday morning. “Hostess Brands will move promptly to lay off most of its 18,500-member workforce and focus on selling its assets to the highest bidders.” The fate of the Twinkie and other Hostess products hang in the balance as Hostess winds down the company. Private equity firm Ripplewood Holdings is one of the owners. Hedge funds Silver Point Capital and Monarch Alternative Capital own Hostess’ debt. Among the 33 bakeries and 565 distribution centers Hostess said it will close is a factory in Schiller Park, Ill., which neighbors Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The bakery was the birthplace of the Twinkie, created on April 6, 1939 by Continental Baking Co.’s James Dewar. Really tho? $60 fawking dollars? For one box of Twinkies? That seems pretty ridiculous to us. Images via tumblr
Now under the guiding force of Disney , Star Wars ‘ next director is becoming a source of intrigue. Last week one major rumored contender – Steven Spielberg – said he is a no-go and now two other front-running prospects have weighed in with their interest. The studio, which recently nabbed Star Wars creator George Lucas ‘ Lucas Films recently for $4.05 billion and tapped Arndt to lead the way on Star Wars: Episode VII , which is set for 2015. Spielberg, JJ Abrams and Brad Bird were reportedly sent extended treatments written for all three planned Star Wars installments. He is in talks to write Star Wars: Episode VII , which will go into production in time for its 2015 target release. But the initial batch of front-running possible directors seem to be whittling down on their own volition, though the talk-downs may always be more about containing expectations than actual intent. But on the surface, J.J. Abrams appears to be bowing out, while another contender, Jon Favreau , is being less resigned to the prospect of taking on the reboot. “I frankly feel that – I almost feel that, in a weird way, the opportunity for whomever it is to direct that movie, it comes with the burden of being that kind of iconic movie and series…,” said Abrams to HollywoodLife. “I am looking forward more then anyone to the next iterations of Star Wars, but I believe I will be going as a paying moviegoer!” Favreau, however, walked the fence, noting that he’s worked on the Skywalker Ranch with Lucas on Clone Wars and Iron Man to great success, adding to HollywoodLife: “I am just giddy, first and foremost as a fan, to see what happens with it. I think there is a lot of question marks of how they are going to do it, and who they are going to do it with, and what the story is going to be about; but to say that I am not excited about it is definitely an understatement. We’ll see.” Spielberg said last week that Star Wars isn’t his thing, telling Access Hollywood at the L.A. premiere of Lincoln , “No, no! It’s not my genre. It’s my best friend George’s genre.” Arndt actually was brought into the mix by Lucasfilm before Disney took over. Part of the sale included the “pretty extensive and detailed treatment for what would be the next three movies – the trilogy,” noted Disney’s Jay Rasulo, according to Deadline. Speculation has mounted that the franchise’s original stars, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will reprise their roles as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. In addition to his Oscar-winning screenplay for Little Miss Sunshine and nomination for Toy Story 3 , Arndt has written the screenplays for the upcoming Hunger Games: Catching Fire and a Pixar project dubbed “Untitled Pixar Movie That Takes You Inside the Mind” for director Pete Docter.
