Kieffer Delp, Jenelle Evans’ Ex, Cited For Alleged Steak Theft

Kieffer Delp, the oft-troubled ex of Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans, is often cited as the root of the North Carolina native’s emotional and legal problems. He was also cited for ganking some steaks from a grocery store. Delp got busted “concealment of goods” for allegedly trying to steal steaks from the Food Lion supermarket in Oak Island, N.C., in late July. Classy. Seems like everybody’s got beef with Kieffer Delp. A source close to the MTV star says Jenelle Evans ‘ friends and family worry about her mental state whenever she’s around this shady character. “Kieffer is a bad influence on Jenelle,” the source says . “She didn’t get in any trouble before she met him. It’s always because they’re hanging out.” Delp, best known for being the guy Jenelle was busted breaking into some house to smoke a blunt with, is due to appear in court on September 12. His flirting with Britany Truett also led to this insane girl fight .

Kendra Wilkinson on Crystal Harris: Cruel Mouth-Runner!

Kendra Wilkinson just doesn’t get it. Granted, this former Girl Next Door opened up about her relationship with Hugh Hefner in the memoir “Sliding Into Home,” but her situation can’t compare to that of Crystal Harris. Why? “She was about to get married to him. I would have never agreed to get married to him,” Kendra told People yesterday when asked about Crystal’s disparaging remarks on The Howard Stern Show. “To [plan to] get married and then be a backstabber to someone like that… to take it to that level and then go and backstab, that’s, like, cruel, you know?” Kendra can relate to life at the Playboy Mansion, but her opinion of Harris has changed for the worse over the last couple weeks. “At first I was really proud,” Wilkinson said . “I was like, ‘Wow, she’s being classy about things.’ But then lately, she’s just like totally running her mouth and it’s hard.” Or, it’s the opposite of Hugh Hefner.

Did Lee DeWyze Snub Scotty McCreery, American Idol?

In the wake of Scotty McCreery’s American Idol triumph, the country is asking multiple questions today? Did he deserve to win? It’s debatable . Are Lauren and Scotty dating? No. Did Lee DeWyze snub the show last night? Sort of. Typically, the previous winner ends up on the stage to congratulate the new champ and hand him/her a trophy. But DeWyze was seated in the fifth row at the finale, and Ryan Seacrest never even mentioned his name. What happened? According to producer Nigel Lythgoe, DeWyze refused to be a good sport. The producer Tweeted today: “I was so upset Lee DeWyze wouldn’t present the winners trophy to Scotty. Especially as he’s been on the show this Season. I guess he was shy.” But the season nine title holder says it’s the opposite: he was never asked to participate! “I was not asked to be involved in the Finale,” Lee wrote in response. “It wasn’t until about 2 minutes before they announced that Nigel had approached me and asked if he could “borrow” me for a second. I didnt feel a last second jump on stage was appropriate. It was Scotty’s moment.” True. But it’s Lythgoe’s show. What do you think, readers? Is there a real beef here? Or was it simply a case of misunderstanding?

“Facebook Depression” Becomes An Actual Risk For Teens [REPORT]

Follow this link:

“Facebook Depression” – it’s a real affliction facing adolescents who spend a lot of time on social networking sites, according to a new report published this week by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Sites like Facebook can make depression and low self-esteem worse for teens who already feel as though they do not fit in said Dr. Gwenn O’Keeffe, the lead author of American Academy of Pediatrics social media guidelines. “The prominent number of friends’ tally, constant status updates and photos of happy-looking people having great times, can make shy or socially-isolated teens feel worse if they think they don’t measure up…,” O’Keeffe says. “It can be more painful than sitting alone in a crowded school cafeteria or other real-life encounters that can make kids feel down, because Facebook provides a skewed view of what’s really going on. Online, there’s no way to see facial expressions or read body language that provide context.” MSNBC interviewed adolescents about the new report and the kids agreed with the findings, noting, “It’s like a big popularity contest — who can get the most friend requests or get the most pictures tagged. If you really didn’t have that many friends and weren’t really doing much with your life, and saw other peoples’ status updates and pictures and what they were doing with friends, I could see how that would make them upset.” The new guidelines focus on the much-publicized suicide of Phoebe Prince who committed suicide last year after being bullied both in real life and online and stress the importance of parents making sure they are aware of what their children are doing on the internet. However, researchers cannot agree about whether or not ‘Facebook depression’ is a stand-alone illness , or if the condition is an extension of depressive disorders that teens already suffer from. The researchers stress that “parents shouldn’t get the idea that using Facebook is going to somehow infect their kids with depression,” for as adolescent medical specialist Dr. Megan Moreno , from the University of Wisconsin has found, the opposite is in fact true of some Facebook users. She said that using Facebook can enhance feelings of social connectedness among well-adjusted kids, and have the opposite effect on those prone to depression. The only thing anyone can agree upon, is that parents need to monitor their child’s online habits, in the hope that another tragic event like what happened to Phoebe Prince, never happens again. For Discussion: Does Interracial Dating Equal Self-Hate??

As a black woman married to a white man, Christelyn Karazin has had her share of people critiquing her relationship , why she’s in it, why she chose him, blah, blah, blah. She’s also done her own introspection over the 12 years they’ve been together, and in retrospect, wouldn’t change a thing. I know that’s it’s just easier for some black folks who are against interracial marriage (mostly it seems it’s directed mostly at black women who do it) to clump all of us couples into one, self-hating batch. But not so fast. I’m with my husband not because I hate myself. In fact, I feel quite the opposite. I married him because I think quite highly of myself, thankyouverymuch. I came to the point in my life that after much dating and striking out, I needed to stop being a mile wide and an inch deep about my choices in men. I had to stop being so shallow about stupid crap like, is he fine? what kind of car does he drive? Can he dance? Does he have a penis like a horse? and really, I mean, REALLY examine what was important to me in a life partner. Qualities that go beyond the level of melanin, like integrity, honesty, a strong sense of family and value of marriage, commitment, love, affection, little-to-no drama, and loyalty led me to my choice. For the first time in my life, I picked character above color, and I will not ever apologize for that. Continue reading at MadameNoire.com
