30 Rock : What happened, girl? I was happy to dispense with my usual pre-programmed bits of Peter Travers-ian praise (“Just plain funny!”, “Wickedly touching!”, “Jane Krakowski is the billowing smokestack atop this factory for chortles!”), but that’s all over. For some reason, half of the characters in last night’s episode reverted to storylines we’d forgotten, one-joke bits that expired last season, or plot devices that we already saw this season. Very strange. Let’s treat each of 30 Rock ‘s five lead characters like kindergarteners and teach them lessons about quality that will render them bedwetters for decades.

Josh Duhamel’s Google News Alert is blowing up today. The Life as We Know It star was booted off a plane in New York on Thursday because he wouldn’t stop texting after the cabin doors were closed. A fellow passenger told TMZ that Duhamel “very rude” and “taunting the attendant,” even going so far as to laugh in her face. Needless to say, authorities were called and Duhamel was escorted off. Reps for the actor say he’s “sorry.” Aren’t we all, Josh. Aren’t we all. [ TMZ via Badass Digest ]

Nothing can liven up a fairly dull day like a brand-new trailer. Unfortunately for everyone, the first look at Terrence Malick’s forever-gestating Tree of Life is only attached to theatrical copies of Black Swan (see it, see it, see it) and not yet online. (Though that hasn’t stopped some outlets from falling prey to ambitious pranksters.) So without Sean Penn and Brad Pitt to warm our cockles on a chilly Friday, we’re left with Vanessa Hudgens, Alex Pettyfer and Mary-Kate Olsen, as some devil woman in an updated version of Beauty & The Beast ? Oh, come on .

Ryan Murphy Confirms Javier Bardem on Glee

Javier Bardem may have jumped the gun last week when he announced that he would “rock the house” on a season two episode of Glee , since both 20th Century Fox and Cory Monteith hadn’t yet heard about the casting coup, but now creator Ryan Murphy is confirming the rumor: “[That’s] something we’ll probably do in the first half of the season.” As for the possibility that Murphy will reunite with his other Oscar-winning _Eat, Pray, Love_star, he said, “No, Julia [Roberts] will not be doing the show.” [ Access Hollywood ]
