‘Somebody who can totally let loose and pretty much be themselves,’ the ‘Twilight’ star tells the talk-show host about what he’s looking for. By Josh Wigler Taylor Lautner Photo: Cohen/ WireImage Leave it to talk-show host Oprah Winfrey to ask Taylor Lautner the question on the minds of every member of Team Jacob: “If you were choosing the ideal woman for yourself, who would that be?” Lautner, 18, taped an appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” recently alongside his “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to promote the release of the franchise’s third installment in June. Although the full interview won’t air until Thursday (May 13), a clip from the episode shows Oprah asking Lautner to elaborate on “the qualities you’re looking for in a relationship.” “Obviously, loyalty,” the “Twilight” star answered after some thought. “Honesty.” There are other qualities that Lautner is seeking, according to the actor’s onscreen romantic rival, Robert Pattinson. “[She] must like beef patties,” he joked of Lautner’s widely publicized “Twilight” fitness diet, prompting an amused Stewart to agree: “[She] must be able to make delicious beef patties.” Beyond loyalty, honesty and beef patties, Lautner said there’s one other crucial quality he looks for in any potential relationship. “Really important to me is somebody who can totally let loose and pretty much be themselves and have fun,” he said. Romance isn’t necessarily the most pressing issue on the young actor’s plate at the moment, of course. In the last few months, Lautner has committed himself to plenty of movie projects including “Stretch Armstrong,” “Abduction,” “Cancun” and “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” the fourth and final installment in Summit Entertainment’s supernatural romance franchise.
