While the world has been distracted by the events in Rio and the continued ramblings of a realty TV star-turned-power-hungry megalomaniac (Yes, we’re talking about Kris Jenner.) Taylor Swift has been experiencing a rare and debilitating phenomenon that most Americans have never even heard of. Sadly, Squad Problems are exactly what they sound like. You see, Taylor has a squad, and well, that squad is currently behaving in a problematic fashion. The reality of the situation came to light during Taylor’s feud with Kim Kardashian . Then again when Taylor was slammed by Calvin Harris on social media. Then a third time when Taylor smeared her face in commando makeup and stalked down Sunset Boulevard with twin machetes drawn screaming, “Who wants some?!” Okay, we may have made that last one up, but the fact remains – Taylor has been involved in a lot of beef with other celebrities in recent weeks. Some say Taylor’s squad has refused to support her in these feuds for fear of damaging their own careers and reputations. Some have even gone so far as to claim that Taylor’s longtime BFF, Victoria’s Secret model Karlie Kloss, has jumped ship to avoid being sucked into the singer’s more high-profile conflicts. However, Kloss took to Twitter last night to remind the world that she plans to ride or die with Swift no regardless of who she pisses off: “I will not allow the media to misconstrue my words. Taylor has always had my back and I will always have hers,” Karlie tweeted. She added: “And I will never be the girl that you can use to pit women against each other. That isn’t me.” So there you have it. It seems that no matter what happens, Taylor can count on at least one other lanky blonde in her corner. It’s only been about seven months since we first learned that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are dating , but the couple appears to be moving very quickly. They haven’t even officially confirmed that they’re an item yet, but we’d say the recently-leaked photos of Orlando’s penis did a good job of spreading the word for them. Friends with benefits don’t generally take naked tropical vacations together, ya know? Anyway, Katy and Orlando are definitely a thing, but it’s unclear how serious they are. But don’t worry, there’s still been plenty of widespread speculation. First, there were the obligatory rumors that Katy and Orlando are planning a wedding . Now we have reports that Katy and Orlando are eager to settle down and start popping out babies. Remarkably, however, the latest comes from the usually-reliable People magazine. A source tells the mag that Bloom and Perry are “not engaged yet, but seem to be heading that way,” and both are eager to start a family. Bloom already has a son with ex Miranda Kerr , and he’s reportedly in awe of how well Katy and his kid get along. “He would love to settle down with Katy and have more kids,” says the insider. “He hasn’t been this serious about a girl since Miranda.” Perry, however, is understandably cautious about taking the leap again. “Katy’s divorce from Russell [Brand] really messed her up emotionally,” the source says. “She’s not going to rashly make a huge commitment like marriage again unless she thinks it’s absolutely right.” The insider adds, however, that Katy feels her relationship with Bloom couldn’t be going any better: “They’ve been getting along really well. They are serious about each other and their relationship.”

For the better part of a year now, we’ve all known that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are dating . But despite the fact that they’ve made it ” Instagram official ” by posting pics of one another, there’s been no real confirmation from the couple themselves. That kinda, sorta changed last night after one of the biggest moments of Katy’s life. As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Katy appeared at the Democratic National Convention last night. And before bringing the crowd to its feet with a couple of her signature tunes, Katy gave a stirring speech that touched on her own past and her pride in being a part of the historic evening: Katy Perry Roars, Rises at Democratic National Convention Naturally, as the most popular person on Twitter, Katy received a lot of praise on social media after she left the stage. One follower praised the line, “It’s not where you come from, but what you grow into.” Katy subtweeted, “Lando put that one in,” followed by a heart Emoji. Wow. Lots to unpack in so few words. For starters, it’s awesome that Katy rejects the more populat “Orly” nickname in afvor of the Star Wars-esque “Lando.” More importantly, however – they’re like definitely a real couple now, right? Nicknames, heart Emojis, collaborating on a speech for the DNC!!! This is not the stuff of casual f–k buddies. These two are serious, and Lando picked a great time to couple up with KP. She’s officially winning the war against Taylor Swift , and if the prognosticators are correct, Katy will have a powerful ally in the White House come November’s inauguration.
