Sam Smith Admits That He Wanted To Kill Himself Over Weight Singer Sam Smith recently revealed that he contemplated suicide after a photo of him looking a little chunky on NYE spread all over the net. Via RadarOnline : “I saw a picture of me on New Year’s Eve topless on a beach in Sydney and it made me want to kill myself,” he admitted. “I just thought I was huge. I’ve had issues with my weight since I was a kid… My dad became a fitness trainer when I was 12 and he tried to help me, but I’ve always had issues.” After the New Year’s Eve photo circulated, he found a renewed determination to slim down. “I was put in contact with Amelia Freer, the dietician who got Boy George to lose all his weight,” he said. Since changing his eating habits, Smith has lost 73 pounds, telling GQ magazine, “The reality is I can do it now because I have a little bit more money, and that’s the sad thing… It’s impossible to eat healthily if you don’t have any money.” We hope that Sam can keep the weight off so he can keep making great music!

The killer-cum-Twitter troll on Thursday threatened someone by raising the specter of Trayvon Martin’s death and insulting the slain teenager in the process. “I’m sorry I’m a day late for your slapping,” someone tweeted at Zimmerman with a meme labeled “It’s slap-an-idiot Wednesday.” “We all know how it ended for the last moron that hit me. Give it a whirl cupcake,” Zimmerman responded. Zimmerman has had a violent and tumultuous run since a jury found him not guilty of second-degree murder or manslaughter in Martin’s death.. He has been arrested multiple times on a variety of violence and weapons charges. He has taken on an air of machismo hubris, stating in March that he doesn’t feel bad about killing the teen because it was part of God’s plan for him. In a Friday morning Tweet, Zimmerman referred to himself as “teflon.” In others, he expresses dislike for President Barack Obama with oblique insults to the president and Mike Brown, the unarmed Ferguson teenager killed by white police officer Darren Wilson last year. Zimmerman claimed Brown and Vester Flanagan, the man accused of killing two WDBJ reporters on air Wednesday would be Obama’s sons. Assistant Vice President Of Alabama Cheerleading Squad Wears Racist KKK Shirt A volunteer cheerleading coach says she was fired after she complained about the squad’s VP and his friend wearing blatantly racist KKK and White Pride shirts. WAFF.com reports: It was a normal day at practice for the Boaz youth cheerleaders until the team’s assistant vice president Brian McCracken and his friend Brian McDowell showed up wearing shirts that said “The original boys in the hood” with a picture of a burning cross and a KKK member another that said “White Pride”. “It’s awful,” former volunteer cheerleading coach Kayleigh Tipton said. “I mean, I don’t stand for it, I don’t want my kids around it. No one I know wants their kids around anything like that.” Tipton complained to Commissioner Kenny Jones about the tee shirts. “We ended up taking care of the situation, we informed the parents they are no longer allowed to wear that type of shirt to any NAYF functions,” Jones said. “We have zero tolerance for any kind of discriminatory apparel or anything.” Tipton says the next time she went to practice, Vice President for Boaz Cheer Melynnda McCracken asked her not to come back as a volunteer coach. “I’m just disgusted because I feel like I didn’t do anything wrong besides make a complaint that should have been kept private to begin with,” Tipton said. “I asked why and she could not give me any reason.” Jones said the decision has nothing to do with Tipton’s complaint. “There was some parent concerns of some drama that was going on so we had to go in, evaluate, do our diligence and see what actions were necessary,” Jones said. Brian and Melynnda McCracken have both resigned. The Tipton family says those resignations needed to happen, but the damage has already been done to their children. “It’s hard for a biracial child that is 4 and 5 to understand what racism is,” Kayleigh’s husband, Cody Tipton said. “It just outrages me and a lot of other parents but no one will stand up to it because of the consequences their children will get.” Brian McCracken said the tee shirt was worn as a joke and he doesn’t want his personal decision to reflect badly on the organization. Ex-Subway Spokesman Jared Fogle Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Charges Jared Fogle, the former Subway spokesman , is expected to plead guilty to possession of child pornography charges, according to WXIN. Via Q13 Fox : Sources say Fogle will accept a plea deal. The U.S. Attorney’s Office will hold a press conference on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the deal and charges against Fogle. The charges come after federal agents raided Fogle’s home in early July. FBI sources said investigators were serving warrants at his home in connection with a child pornography investigation. Several computers and DVDs were seized from Fogle’s home. Earlier this year, Taylor, the former director of the Jared Foundation started by Fogle, was arrested in a child pornography case. He was accused of possessing and producing child pornography. Investigators said a search of Taylor’s home turned up more than 500 videos with images of child pornography. In May, Taylor unsuccessfully tried to kill himself while in jail. Fogle gained national fame after attributing massive weight loss to eating Subway sandwiches. He was a freshman at Indiana University at the time. He later became a visible presence in Subway ad campaigns, pitching the restaurant’s sandwiches and touting their health benefits. Subway suspended their relationship with the spokesman shortly after the raid. Looks like Subway will be looking for a new spokesperson very soon!
Uzbekistan Airlines Will Begin Weighing Passengers For Flight Safety How would you feel if you were asked to be weighed before boarding your next flight?? Via TIME Magazine : Uzbekistan Airlines announced a new policy that involves weighing passengers shortly before take off. A statement by the airline announced a decision to install a “special weighing machine” at departure gates, where passengers would be weighed along with their luggage. “According to the rules of International Air Transport Association, airlines are obliged to carry out the regular procedures of preflight control passengers weighing with hand baggage to observe requirements for ensuring flight safety,” read a statement posted to the airline’s webpage. A spokesperson for the International Air Transport Association denied any knowledge of a regulation that would require passengers to stand on a scale, adding in a statement to CNN that airlines normally calculate passenger loads as a mathematical average, rather than a precise, personal measurement. Lawsuit Claims Nick Gordon Gave Bobbi Kristina Toxic Cocktail An amended lawsuit filed by the late Bobbi Kristina Brown’s conservator alleges that Nick Gordon gave Brown a “toxic cocktail” and then put her face down in a tub of cold water. Via 11 Alive : The original suit was filed on June 24 in Fulton County Superior Court by Brown’s court-appointed conservator Bedelia Hargrove. It accused Gordon of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and transferring money from her account into his own without authorization. Brown, the 22-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, died on July 26 — months after being found unresponsive in the tub of her Roswell home on Jan. 31. Brown never regained consciousness and was moved to hospice care in June. The amended complaint, filed on Friday, adds a wrongful death count. It alleges that around 6 a.m. on Jan. 31, Gordon returned after “being out all-night on a cocaine and drinking binge.” The suit says that Gordon watched camera footage of Brown and listened to her conversations. Gordon and Brown began arguing in the kitchen. The dispute moved to the living and then upstairs to the master bedroom. Gordon allegedly accused Brown of cheating and called her a number of names, the lawsuit alleges. The argument lasted about 30 minutes and then “everything abruptly became quiet.” The lawsuit then says that Gordon “gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage.” According to the suit, Gordon then came out of the bedroom wearing different clothes than he was wearing in his argument with Bobbi Kristina, got into bed, laid his head on a female guest’s ankle and said, “Now I want a pretty little white girl like you.” About 15 minutes later, a guest at the home went in to check on Brown and found her face down in a tub. A dust pan was at the bottom of the tub, the lawsuit states. Bobbi Kristina unresponsive, unconscious with a swollen mouth and a tooth hanging loosely from her mouth. Gordon allegedly then came into the bathroom, let the water out of the tub and shouted, “Clean up, clean up.” Others, including Gordon, began efforts to resuscitate Brown and called for medical personnel. Aldon Smith Cut By 49ers After DUI Car Crash We reported earlier today that 49ers baller Aldon Smith was involved in a blizzard hit-and-run car crash . The drunk athlete has had a long history of DUIs and run-ins with the law because of his drinking, and his team is over it! Via TMZ : Aldon Smith’s arrest Friday was his last straw with the San Francisco 49ers … they’ve cut him. In a statement announcing the move, the team said, “This organization has tried very hard to help Aldon fight his issues. Although he is no longer a member of this team, our support and concern for him will continue.” 49ers coach Jim Tomsula described the situation as “a sad day,” but said that Smith “will not have to walk this path alone.” Smith was arrested early Friday morning in Santa Clara for hit and run, DUI and vandalism. He posted $26,000 bail and has since been released. Why can’t these rich ballers just hire drivers when they want to go out and get slizzard?!? Uber isn’t that expensive folks.
