GOP Representative Calls Planned Parenthood ‘Racist Babykillers’ Today in ratchet Republican news: A GOP representative has taken time out of his busy schedule to explain to us all how salvery, racism and planned parenthood go hand in hand. A Republican member of Congress equated Planned Parenthood to “slavery forces” and called it a “racist organization” that was “created with the sole purpose of killing children that look like mine.” Rep. Tim Huelskamp, a congressman from Kansas who made the comments at the 2012 Values Voter Summit this morning, is staunchly anti-abortion rights and said he has adopted four children “each of them either black, Hispanic, native American.” “Besides slavery, abortion is the other darkest stain on our nation’s character,” Huelskamp told the crowd. “And this president is looking for every way possible to make abortion more available and more frequent, and he wants you to pay for it — even if you disagree with it. Those damn Log Cabin Republicans pissed off the wrong Gay Congressman! Democratic Representative Barney Frank blasted a group of LGBT Santorum lovers for backing Money Mitt. Rep. Barney Frank released a scathing statement Tuesday defending his recent comparison of the Log Cabin Republicans to Uncle Tom, saying the LGBT group is “on the wrong side of the election” by pushing Mitt Romney’s “Rick Santorum platform.” “I am not surprised that members of the Log Cabin Republicans are offended by my comparing them to Uncle Tom,” Frank wrote. “They are no more offended than I am by their campaigning in the name of LGBT rights to elect the candidate and party who diametrically oppose our rights against a president who has forcefully and effectively supported our rights.” The openly gay Democratic congressman made the comparison at least twice last week, according to the Advocate, including in an address to the Democratic National Convention’s LGBT Caucus. “I am again inclined to think that they’re called the Log Cabin club because their role model is Uncle Tom,” he said Thursday. In his statement Tuesday, Frank defended — and expanded on — what he admits is “very harsh criticism.” “[M]y use of “Uncle Tom” was based not simply on this awful fact that they have chosen to be actively on the wrong side of an election that will have an enormous impact on our right to equality,” he said, later adding that the group “may mislead people who do not share their view that tax cuts for the wealthy are more important than LGBT rights into thinking that they are somehow helping the latter by supporting Mitt Romney and his Rick Santorum platform.” In conclusion, he wrote, “Some have complained that in comparing the Log Cabin Republicans to Uncle Tom, I was ignoring the fact that they are nice. I accept the fact that many of them are nice — so was Uncle Tom — but in both cases, they’ve been nice to the wrong people.” LLS…if saying ‘Uncle Tom was nice’ is their best defense there’s no way in hell they can even begin to relate to real LGBT issues. The legendary rapper, in a new interview, says he never threw his support behind the protest movement because he didn’t understand what it stood for. “What’s the thing on the wall, what are you fighting for?” Jay-Z told The New York Times in a wide-ranging interview. The Brooklyn-born hip-hop king said he made his feelings clear to Russell Simmons, who was a full-throated supporter of the Zuccotti Park demonstrators. “I’m not going to a park and picnic — I have no idea what to do,” Jay-Z said, recalling a conversation with Simmons about joining the movement. “I don’t know what the fight is about. What do we want? Do you know?” Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, transformed himself from a poverty-stricken crack dealer to a multimillionaire music mogul and co-owner of the Brooklyn Nets. He said Occupy Wall Street’s blanket demonetization of the rich is un-American. “I think all those things need to really declare themselves a bit more clearly because when you just say that ‘the 1 percent is that,’ that’s not true,” he said. “Yeah, the 1 percent that’s robbing people, and deceiving people, these fixed mortgages and all these things, and then taking their home away from them, that’s criminal, that’s bad. “Not being an entrepreneur. Aww po’ thang… Social Worker Claims Reporting Mariah Carey’s “Drinking” Got Her Fired After learning that a celebrity mom breastfed her premature twins while drinking alcohol and taking medication, a social worker cried foul and lost her job, she claims in court. Believing that the conduct amounted to child abuse, Mela Ferrer says she reported the celebrity to the Department of Child and Family Services on May 10, 2011. That same week, celebrity Nick Cannon told journalist Piers Morgan that he and Mariah Carey had just been visited by the department based on allegations that there was “some drinking and drugs and all that going on while in the hospital.” The department reportedly determined quickly that there was no merit to the allegations concerning Carey’s twins, who were born prematurely at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center on April 30, 2011. But Ferrer says the hospital was worried that her duty-bound report would deter other celebrities from using their facilities. They urged Ferrer to “cover it up to protect the image of the celebrity mother,” according to the complaint. Neither Carey, Cannon nor their twins are named in the complaint, which refers only to a “well known celebrity.” Ferrer’s lawyer David Olan said he could neither confirm nor deny the identity of the unnamed star. As entertainment news outlets covered the investigation into Carey last year, the couple said Carey drank Guinness because hospital staff said it would promote lactating. But Ferrer, who was working there on temporary assignment, says “that she was a mandated reporter and was obligated to report the matter to DCFS.” “Some (sic) the medications the celebrity mother was taking were not recommended and/or were contraindicated for use by nursing mothers and/or in combination with alcohol,” the complaint states. Ferrer says one of her supervisors at the hospital, Marcia Colone, reprimanded her on May 11 for filing the report before consulting with the social work supervisor, Josephine Kaplan. On May 12, two days after Ferrer filed the report, Kaplan called the 68-year-old Ferrer into her office and fired her. Ferrer says she later learned that she had been let go under the pretense of not following “protocol.” But the hospital never had set rules or procedures for filing complaints to the department, and it was only interested in protecting its celebrity clientele, according to the complaint. Simpson walked away from his murder trial a free man, a prosecutor at the center of the case has alleged that the lead defense lawyer tampered with a crucial piece of evidence. Former Los Angeles deputy district attorney Christopher Darden on Thursday accused Simpson defense lawyer, the late Johnnie Cochran, of “manipulating” one of the infamous gloves that the prosecution said linked Simpson to the grisly double murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. After Simpson struggled to fit the gloves on his hands — in one of the defining moments of the racially charged trial that captivated the nation – Cochran famously admonished the jury, “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.” On Thursday, during a panel discussion about the trial at Pace Law School in New York City, Darden, a member of the prosecution team, declared: “I think Johnnie tore the lining. There were some additional tears in the lining so that O.J.’s fingers couldn’t go all the way up into the glove.” Darden said in a follow-up interview on Friday that he noticed that when Simpson was trying on a glove for the jury its structure appeared to have changed. “A bailiff told me the defense had it during the lunch hour.” He said he wasn’t specifically accusing anyone, adding: “It’s been my suspicion for a long time that the lining has been manipulated.” He said he had previously voiced similar concerns in TV interviews, but could not recall the details. Apparently someone’s got a BIG head since her Baller Boo fiance Michael Strahan landed his new J.O.B. with Kelly Ripa. According to TMZ… Nicole Murphy has gotten way too big for her britches now that her fiance Michael Strahan snagged the morning show with Kelly Ripa … at least according to her former reps who say she’s acting like a monster, publicly trashing and destroying their business in the process. The ZLP Group has hired a lawyer, who fired off a nasty, threatening letter to Nicole. In the letter — obtained by TMZ — the lawyer claims Nicole has “started rumors, misstatements and misrepresentations” which have defamed the PR group. ZLP’s lawyer, Donald Karpel, says Murphy’s smack talking has destroyed his client’s relationship with QVC, several NYC fashion week designers and a TV show. Karpel promises in the letter he will file a lawsuit against her for breach of contract (allegedly firing the firm without cause) and defamation — based on her “poor conduct.” We called Murphy — so far, no comment. Man Complains To Police About Prostitute Price Hike Police in Michigan recently received an unusual complaint from a panty-pandering customer complaining that a his late night chop down session cost him more than he expected. Police in southeast Michigan say a man called to complain that a woman he had agreed to pay for sex unexpectedly increased the price. AnnArbor.com reports that police were called to an Ann Arbor home late Wednesday on a report of a robbery. Police say the 45-year-old man and a 19-year-old Ohio woman he contacted online had agreed on a price, but that the man claimed she upped the cost after taking his money. Police say the woman was arrested. The man wasn’t taken into custody. According to investigators, the man and woman gave vastly different accounts of what happened. The case is under investigation and prosecutors will determine any possible charges. So she arrested but he wasn’t? Sounds a little shady. We wonder if she’ll be required to reduce her prices as part of her “sentence”…. Source

For me, when I first came onto the scene I dealt with criticism about my weight and how I looked, but I’ve overcome that. I’ve learned that everyone has an opinion when you’re in the spotlight, but what matters most is how YOU feel about yourself. I’ve gotten over being criticized, and learned [it’s] just not important. There are other things to focus your energy on. It’s important to keep your biggest cheerleaders closest to you and I will say my friends and family are always apart of my life because they help in shaping me as an individual. Without them, I don’t know where I would be. Through both the good and the hard times they are always there to lean on with the best advice.
