We knew it was just a matter of time… According to TMZ reports : Octomom was the featured attraction at Playhouse Gentlemen’s Club in Hollywood, FL last night — but she wasn’t there to take it off … she was there to promote her celebrity boxing match. Octo was in the house with Damon Feldman (seen above), the guy who puts on “Big Bang Celebrity Boxing” … and Cassandra Anderson, her opponent for tonight’s fight (seen below). Ok well, she wasn’t exactly swinging from the pole, but we’ll be damned if she ain’t on her way!
What’s up Chi-town? This is how they play up there??? Camila Klinger, 27, was fired as general manager for a popular bar in Lincoln Park in 2010. Two weeks ago, she filed a lawsuit in federal court alleging that Anthony Anton, the owner of Fuze (formerly known as Skybar) at 2242 N. Lincoln, routinely used illegal tactics to limit the number of African Americans in the club. Anton did not return several phone calls seeking comment about the lawsuit. His attorney, Michael Ficaro, also did not return my phone calls. But this is not the first time that someone has accused Anton of discriminating against African Americans. In 2007, a Caucasian male contacted me after he allegedly witnessed four black patrons being denied admittance to the Mark II lounge in Rogers Park, another bar that Anton owns. The African Americans walked away after being told the bar was closed to the public for a private party. The white patron overheard the false claim and was so outraged, he chased the group down and advised them of the scheme. The lawsuit specifically names several instances and examples of discriminatory behavior on the part of the club owner. Among other things, Klinger’s suit alleges that Anton’s discriminatory practices included: Telling her that there were too many black people in the club; ordering her to tell the DJs to stop playing African-American music so black patrons would leave, and raising the club’s cover charge and cost for party packages for black customers so they would choose to go elsewhere. “Anton made it clear to Klinger that certain racial minority groups, particularly African Americans, were not welcome in the club,’’ the suit states. After sometime it became too much for Klinger to accept and she decided she had to do something. “Something inside of me felt that this was not acceptable in any form,” Klinger told me in an interview at her lawyer’s office. “I felt like I had to speak out. A lot of people see things, they witness things and they don’t have the means and resources to bring some kind of awareness. I feel like the only way for good to come out of this is if I expose this.” …Things came to a head on a Sunday night when Klinger said she was called on the carpet after an African American and a Latino got into a fight in the bar. “This was the only time there was a fight,” she said. The suit states that after the incident, Anton told her “that she needed to start enforcing the racial quotas and that if she would not do it he would find someone who would.” Added Klinger: “When I said what he was asking me to do was morally wrong and illegal, he said I had to leave.” Source
8 years?!?!?! An Iranian court sentenced American hikers to 8 years in prison, a state TV website said, according to Reuters. The hikers, Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal, have been detained since their arrest in 2009 when they were nabbed by Iranian troops while hiking on the Iran-Iraq border. A third American, Sarah Shourd, was also arrested but released on parole last year due to medical reasons. She quickly returned to America and was tried in absentia. The three were charged with illegal entry and spying, though American officials have said they were not in any way affiliated with American intelligence agencies. The final court appearance on July 31 gave the hikers and their Iranian lawyer hope that they would be released because it was held at the beginning of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and on the two-year anniversary of their arrest. The men’s lawyer was clearly disheartened by the verdict. “We have repeatedly called for the release of Shane Bauer and Joshua Fattal, who have now been held in Iran’s Evin prison for two years. Shane and Josh have been imprisoned too long, and it is time to reunite them with their families.” According to Iranian law, the men have only 20 days to file for appeal. She was definitely holdin them thangs!! A Playboy Playmate was jailed after trying to board a plane with a loaded gun. Glamour model Shanna Marie McLaughlin, who was Playboy’s Miss July 2010, was arrested at Orlando International Airport on Monday evening after agents searched her bag and found a revolver. When she put the duffle through an x-ray machine at security, a TSA official spotted the weapon and called police. She claimed the weapon belonged to her boyfriend, according to police. Miss McLaughlin, who was headed to Los Angeles, was jailed on a charge of carrying a firearm in a place prohibited by law. The gun, a .45 caliber Colt revolver loaded with six hollow-point bullets, was immediately confiscated. Authorities said the Playmate, who has been released from jail, has a valid permit to carry a concealed weapon. Yeah, yeah, it wasn’t yours but you have a concealed weapons license…SMH Source

The principal of a Brooklyn high school for new immigrants had five students do hard labor moving furniture for her instead of doing schoolwork — a daylong field trip from hell that included kids being tossed around in the back of a U-Haul truck, The Post has learned. It’s at least the second time that Altagracia Liciaga, principal of Multicultural HS in Cypress Hills, has been investigated for allegedly outrageous behavior toward her students. Liciaga had sent the students on the dangerous excursion to a Midtown warehouse to pick up school furniture, with three of the teens sitting in the box truck’s dark cargo hold for both legs of the round trip, which each lasted 1½ hours. While two students sat up front in the cab of the truck with a student aide driving, the other three were forced to ride in back — including one teen who tied himself down with a scarf to keep from bouncing around like a pinball. “I thought the trip was very dangerous,” said one of the teens, who like most kids at Multicultural HS is a recently arrived Spanish speaker. “In the back, there [were no seat belts] for us. If I had known that ahead of time, I wouldn’t have gone.” No permission slips were filled out by parents for the unscheduled trip, teachers said. The student, who did not want to be identified for fear of retribution, said he stepped up when Liciaga was seeking volunteers because he likes to help out and because he assumed the errand wouldn’t take long. Instead, he and the four other students left the school before 10 a.m. on Dec. 14, hauled more than a dozen heavy cabinets into the truck and returned to the school after 3 p.m. After they had unloaded all the cargo on the third floor of the school, Liciaga thanked them by giving them tacos. Wait. Tacos, though? SMDH. A city Department of Education spokeswoman told The Post that Liciaga had been reprimanded. “The allegation regarding the furniture was substantiated, and the principal received a letter of reprimand,” the rep said. This b!*$# here… According to TMZ reports : Jose Baez — Casey Anthony’s lawyer — is holed up at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City, holding court with all of the major networks — to determine who will score the first interview with Casey — and big bucks are involved. Sources tell TMZ … NBC, ABC and CBS are all competing for the first interview. Sources connected with the negotiations tell TMZ there is a “big price tag” for the interview. We’re told the networks — which say they don’t pay for interviews — are offering to license photos and other material and pay big bucks … that’s S.O.P. in the network game. We’re told NBC looks like the frontrunner so far, but ABC is in the game. We’re told CBS “is a distant third.” We’re told NBC is paying for Baez’ hotel room. Baez spent part of the night Thursday in the Mandarin Oriental bar with famed lawyer Mark Geragos — who knows a thing or two about high-profile cases.
