Jesse James: Done Worrying About Sandra, Ready to Start Looking After Jesse

Jesse James is done worrying about Sandra Bullock. It’s nothing personal, he says, just essential that he move on. “I can’t worry about her anymore,” the Monster Garage star told Good Morning America. “I think I’ve spent a good chunk of the last 5-6 years worrying only about her, and what she thinks, and what I should do … controlling all my movements and everything else. I think it’s time to worry about Jesse, and making sure Jesse’s happy.” Umm, wasn’t that what he did with Michelle McGee ? Jesse James attempts to appear sympathetic. On the show to promote his new book, American Outlaw , James said that since he betrayed Sandra Bullock , he’s never laid eyes on Louis, the boy they adopted. Bullock’s only seen his daughter Sunny a handful of times, he adds, and notes that despite relocating to Austin, they’ve had “no contact for several months.” James, who announced his engagement to Kat Von D earlier this year, said that yes, he will be faithful to his soon-to-be bride, who will be his fourth wife. He also says he’s become a stronger man with thicker skin. “I didn’t hide from any of it,” he said of last spring’s sordid sex scandal. “I took it all on the chin, and guess what? I’m still standing.”

Jane Russell, Actress And Legendary Pinup, Dead At 89

Envelope-pushing sex symbol starred in ‘The Outlaw’ and ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.’ By Gil Kaufman Jane Russell Photo: Getty Images You can thank Jane Russell for “Sucker Punch,” every Roger Corman jigglefest, the Catwoman outfit Halle Berry was poured into and just about any other body-baring costume that a Hollywood actress has shimmied in over the past 70 years. The buxom pinup beauty who helped push the envelope in onscreen sensuality died on Monday at the age of 89 at her home in Santa Maria, California. For photos of Jane Russell through the years, click here. The Los Angeles Times reported that Russell had suffered from respiratory problems and died after a short illness. The actress made her biggest splash in her first role in 1943’s “The Outlaw,” a Howard Hughes-produced film that played up her sexuality in a marketing campaign that focused on her voluptuous figure. In fact, the iconic publicity still of Russell posing in a low-cut top while leaning back on a bale of hay — her left arm cocked on her hip and her pouty lips and ample bosom prominent — created a sensation and challenged the strict morality rules of Hollywood’s production code. Born Ernestine Jane Geraldine Russell on June 21, 1921, in Bemidji, Minnesota, she moved to Southern California with her family as an infant and started working as a part-time model after graduating from high school. She was discovered by one of Hughes’ casting agents amid a search for a beauty with a curvy figure to play Billy the Kid’s love interest Rio McDonald in “The Outlaw.” The Times noted that Russell got the part after one audition, and Hughes took such an interest in her that he fired director Howard Hawks and got personally involved in finding creative ways to emphasize her assets. How involved? Hughes had his engineers design a custom “cantilever” bra with no seams that would expose more of her breasts than typical bras. Russell refused to wear the contraption, however. Hughes’ efforts shocked Joe Breen, who was in charge of enforcing the strict production code (the precursor to the modern-day ratings code), which forbade such overt portrayals of erotic situations and material. He said at the time that he’d never seen “anything quite so unacceptable as the shots of the breasts of the character of Rio,” which he said were “shockingly emphasized.” Despite Breen’s order to delete dozens of shots of Russell’s cleavage, Hughes refused, playing up the controversy in the ad campaign with the haystack poster and taglines such as “How Would You Like to Tussle with Russell?” After being re-released in 1946 without code approval, the movie

RIP Jane Russell [PICS, VIDEO]

Jane Russell , archetype of the brunette bombshell and star of The Outlaw (1943) and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) , has ridden off into the sunset at age 89. The voluptuous Miss Russell was discovered working in a doctor’s office by eccentric millionaire Howard Hughes , who according to legend designed the first push-up bra to cradle Jane’s bountiful bouncing boobs. Hughes cast her as the tempestuous Rio McDonald in The Outlaw, where Jane’s cleavage was deemed so scandalous that the film’s release was delayed several years. Jane and her unmanageably massive milk jugs went on to star in dozens of films throughout the 1950’s; she is best remembered for her Westerns and her musical collaborations with Marilyn Monroe. Jane’s film career tapered off after 1958, but she was the face of Playtex bras in the 1970s and 1980s (“for full figured gals”) and continued singing in nightclubs until 2008. Jane was a true titan of titillation for generations of men and will be missed by funbag fans the world over.

New Wonder Woman Adrianne Palicki Will Make You All Sticky

Who’s that getting undressed in the invisible jet? It’s Friday Night Light s babe Adrianne Palicki , the newest Wonder Woman! Everyone’s favorite femdom superheroine is back in a new NBC pilot, now re-imagined as a billionaire CEO by day, an LA-based vigilante by night, and the CEO’s secretary some other times. The sadly never-nude Adrianne will be playing all three roles, but all fans really care about is how she’s going to fill out that eagle-emblazoned corset. Adrianne beat our early hopefuls Nadia Bjorlin , Erica Durance , and Charisma Carpenter to play the superheroine created by a man who had a long-term female sex slave living with him and his wife (look it up). 70s siren Lynda Carter , who starred in the confusingly titled 1976 TV movie The New Original Wonder Woman and the jiggle-icious series that followed, tweeted her congratulations to the new gal. Adrianne, while you’re taking over Lynda’s old role, how about re-booting (or re-boobing) her topless performance in the drive-in classic Bobbir Jo and the Outlaw and finally giving us a look at those naked knockers? What’s the holdup on your nude debut anyway? That’s what we wonder, woman.

David Nelson, ‘Ozzie And Harriet’ Star, Dead

Nelson was last surviving castmember of the popular 1950s and ’60s family sitcom. By Gil Kaufman David, Harriet and Ozzie Nelson Photo: ABC In the 1950s and ’60s the Nelsons were one of the most popular families on television, but on Tuesday the last surviving castmember of “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet,” David Nelson, died at the age of 74. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Nelson passed away in his Century City, California, home after battling complications from colon cancer. In an age before reality TV, Nelson was one of the first true reality stars. Appearing alongside his actual family in the long-running sitcom that starred his parents, Ozzie and Harriet, and younger brother and future music/film star Ricky, David Nelson got his start on the radio in 1949 with the original incarnation of the sitcom, which his parents had launched five years earlier. The show made the transition to television in 1952, beginning a quirky run as a program that Time.com described as blurring “the line between fact and fiction.” At one point during the series’ time on the air, David and Ricky’s actual wives were brought on to play their fictional spouses. In another twist, David’s character was sent off to college and joined a fraternity at the same time he did those things in real life. And, as he would for most of his younger brother’s life, David played something of a second banana to Ricky on the program, letting him have the best laugh lines and contenting himself with being a part of the family ensemble. If anything, “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” has been lampooned and criticized over the years for depicting a family that was almost too perfect, creating a suburban ideal that few families, even the Nelson’s themselves, could ever hope to achieve. David Nelson appeared in a string of films during the show’s heyday, including “Peyton Place,” “The Big Circus” and “Day of the Outlaw,” and continued to act sporadically when “Ozzie and Harriet” ended its record TV run in 1966. He was last seen on the big screen playing the father of Traci Lords’ character, Wanda, in director John Waters’ 1950s spoof film “Cry-Baby” in 1990. Surviving David are his wife, five children and seven grandkids. Brother Ricky died in a plane crash on New Year’s Eve in 1985.

Politician Pushes for Salvia Ban, Comes Down on Miley Cyrus

The newly released video of Miley Cyrus smoking a bong full of salvia has critics of that singer fired up and fans of the singer concerned for her well-being. It also has Anthony Adams shaking his head. A former California State Assemblyman, Adams tried passing 2007 legislation that would outlaw the herb and place it in the same classification as controlled substances such as LSD. The bill was voted down, however, and Adams settled for a restriction of selling salvia to minors. Miley Cyrus Bong Video As evidenced by Miley’s loopy behavior above, Adams tells TMZ salvia can make “you do incredibly crazy things, adding: “Miley is a star and young kids are going to emulate her behavior.” That’s why he’s hoping to use this incident to bring back his failed bill, saying: “It’s time for state and federal governments to renew their push toward an outright ban.” Think Adams has the right idea? What’s your take on Miley smoking this substance? It is…

Curse of the Black Gold (Video)

“Set against a backdrop of what has been called the scramble for African oil, Curse of the Black Gold is the first body of work to document the consequences of a half-century of oil exploration and production in one of the world’s foremost centers of biodiversity, the Niger Delta. Kashi's photographs expose the reality of oil’s impact and the absence of sustainable development in its wake, providing a compelling pictorial history of one of the world’s great deltaic areas. The photographs capture local leaders, armed militants, oil workers, and nameless villagers, all of whose fate is inextricably linked, illustrating the paradox of poverty in the midst of plenty.” http://www.foto8.com/new/online/photo-stories/1124-curse-of-the-black-gold Great work in raising awareness!
