Jackass 3D Trailer Shoots Out Of The Internet & Onto Your computer

The first trailer for Jackass 3D has arrived and, it’s a trailer for another Jackass movie. By now you should know what you’re getting. New this time around is the 3D element which, by all accounts, the Jackass boys plan to milk for all it’s worth. This won’t be some subtle and artistic use of the format, even in the movie’s 2D trailer below, you’ll easily see that they plan on shooting, farting, and rocketing as many things straight at the camera and out over the audience as possible. This is Jackass. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Here’s the Jackass 3D trailer, meet me afterwards for an observation: added by: cclark_productions

My Own Personal Beauty Matrix

Why Do You Do This? The question that I've been asked the most lately is “why do you do this?”. {This meaning spending so much time writing, researching, interviewing people and talking about non-toxic choices in organic beauty products.} That's a fair question and one that got me thinking about the deeper answer. The obvious answers are health, the environment, our future. But the truth is, the answer is a bit more complicated. There is no fat paycheck arriving in my mailbox each week that keeps my fingers tapping these keys. In fact, I don't know if I'll ever make any significant income from this (but if I do, that would be icing on the organic cake and help me get the message out loud and proud!). According to Active ingredients used in cosmetics: safety survey (2008) “Ingredients are used in cosmetics to give them specific properties. Certain ingredients, so called active ingredients, may produce pharmacological or toxic effects under certain conditions. Cosmetic products containing such ingredients may pose a health risk both because of their potential toxicity and because they may mask underlying serious diseases and consequently cause a dangerous delay in diagnosis and treatment.” My Own Personal Matrix By now, I think we've all at least heard of the movie Matrix with Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburn. I've only ever seen the first movie where the Matrix is introduced. You know that famous scene where Fishburn's character is offering Keanu the choice of taking a little pill that would change everything forever, or taking another pill that would return him to pleasant life as he knew it. Fishburn's character makes sure Keanu understands that once he takes the “truth revealing” pill, there is no going back to daily life and that he will “never see anything the same way again.” When Neo, Reeve's characeter asks, “What is the Matrix?”, Fishburne answers…”The matrix is the world that has been pulled over your eyes that protects you from the truth!” This is the line..this is the one line runs through my mind each time I see an add for Loreal, Revlon and any other mainstream cosmetics line. Each time one of these ads promises to plump, make something glow, or beautify women all over the world, I feel as if they are hoping that their target audience has not taken the other pill…the one where they don't to see the actual truth….they don't READ THE LABEL and learn about it. makeup1.jpg What Is The Truth? The truth is something that can be very personal and relative to each individual. I think we all, as humans love to believe that the government, FDA and the companies actually creating beauty products share a common truth have the greater good for humanity and health in mind. “They wouldn't create something that would hurt us!”, and “Isn't it FDA approved?” are the most common lines of thinking when it comes to extent of the reflecting on possible toxins in our beauty regimen. Since I chose to take the ‘Matrix exposing pill' I haven't been able to see the world in quite the same way. After spending over a decade working in and managing beauty salons I knew intuitively and physically that the smells were not good for us. I just didn't know how bad they were. How Bad Are They…Really? We all like to think that the FDA is there to protect us and put strict guidelines in place to force companies to only use ingredients that have been thoroughly tested. The truth is, those guidelines are not as strong as they should be. One glaring example of the lack of control is a simple comparison of known toxic ingredients including lead and talc (a relative of asbestos) banned from use in the United States versus Europe. According to the Environmental Working Group “…unlike for drugs and food additives, FDA has no authority to require that cosmetics be tested for safety before they are sold. An industry-funded panel (the CIR), not a government health agency, reviews the safety of cosmetic ingredients in the U.S. Our research shows that this largely self-regulated industry routinely fails to adhere to their own safety panel's advice or to heed the health warnings inherent in cosmetic safety standards set in other countries. More than 750 personal care products sold in the U.S. violate industry safety standards or cosmetic safety standards in other industrialized countries.” But I Thought We Were Worth It? Did you know that Europe has tested and banned over 1200 ingredients for use in cosmetics. Let's compare that to the FDA who has banned around 10!!! The truth is that FDA will only get involved in a situation if the product has been known to cause obvious harm to a person. The problem with this outlook is that most toxins have a slow trickle affect on a person. You may notice a rash or dry skin or hair and not even relate it to the product you are using. What Can I DO? You do have options. The organic cosmetics market has more than tripled over the last 5 years. The products are actually good, very good. You don't have to go naked and barefoot to go green anymore. You can be your gorgeous self and still use beauty products that are not causing harm. Here is a resource that can help in wading through the beauty aisle – www.cosmeticsdatabase.com . Here you can look up the safety rating of products as well as individual ingredients. This isn't just about looking good, it's about living a long healthy life not filled with illness and disease. Eminem Says ‘Slim Shady’ Wasn’t Right for Recovery

But Em assures fans that his rowdy alter ego isn’t going anywhere: ‘Shady still exists.’ By Mawuse Ziegbe Eminem Photo: Robyn Beck/ AFP/ Getty Images Eminem burst on the scene in 1999 with The Slim Shady LP, which introduced the world to Marshall Mathers’ manic, violent alter ego Slim Shady. Shady’s mercurial behavior has captivated fans throughout Em’s career, as Slim took cheeky shots at everyone from ‘NSYNC to his own mentor Dr. Dre and murdered his longtime gal pal Kim (only on wax, of course). Recently, the amped-up Shady has taken a backseat to Eminem’s candid rhymes about his struggles with fame and addiction. However, Em said that he hasn’t completely killed the Shady persona; it’s just not right for Recovery. “Shady still exists. But I don’t think the subjects on this record call for, you know, ‘bring the chainsaws and axes out and murder everyone on this record,’ ” Em told The New York Times in a recent interview. “There was so much stuff like that off the last record that I felt like I was starting to run it into the ground. I think consciously I went in a different direction with this record.” Em has been given a hard time for his hard-hitting rhymes, but when the Times pressed the star about whether he had any regrets about using unsavory terms when referring to women, he maintained that he was simply expressing his feelings honestly. “Anything I’ve ever said, I certainly was feeling at the time,” Eminem said. “But I think I’ve calmed down a bit. My overall look on things is a lot more mature than it used to be.” The star has certainly changed his outlook, as he mentioned in the same Times article, which will run in Sunday’s issue, that he supports gay marriage . Eminem’s Recovery is set to hit stores June 21. The album was pushed up a day after the much-anticipated follow-up to Relapse leaked online earlier this month. Do you want Slim Shady back, or are you happy Em is giving his alter ego a rest? Let us know in the comments! Related Photos The Evolution Of: Eminem Related Artists Eminem

George Stephanopoulos Touts Democratic Talking Points, Urges Pawlenty to Denounce Tea Party Candidate

Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos on Friday parroted Democratic talking points while interviewing Governor Tim Pawlenty about the tea party movement. The potential presidential candidate mentioned the victory of several GOP women on Tuesday and Stephanopoulos pounced: ” You didn’t mention Sharron Angle, who’s going to be the Senate candidate up against Harry Reid. ” After playing a clip of the Nevada Republican candidate saying there’s “no such thing” as too conservative, Stephanopoulos listed off several of Angle’s positions and derided, “Are you concerned that some of your new candidates, especially those who have been backed by the Tea Party, may make it harder to win those seats in November?” According to Stephanopoulos’ spin, Democrats are “licking their chops” at the opportunity to run against Angle. Stephanopoulos must have ignored a new Rasmussen poll showing the Republican up 11 over Reid. The journalist’s critique followed closely to talking points released by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee on Tuesday: “[Angle] cares more about promoting a strict social doctrine than helping grow the state’s economy. Sharron Angle’s rigid social agenda may generate national headlines, but Nevadans cannot afford it.” Considering the host’s past as a Democratic operative, this shouldn’t be too surprising. Twice this week, Stephanopoulos highlighted rumors against another Republican, Nikki Haley of South Carolina. Pressing the gubernatorial candidate on allegations of infidelity, the ex-Clinton aide brazenly demanded, “Can you assure South Carolina voters that they’re not going to be embarrassed if they elect you?” A transcript of the June 11 segment, which aired at 7:35am EDT, follows: GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: It was a big political week with the continuing fallout from the oil spill for President Obama. And a fresh batch of potential Republican stars, mostly women, coming out of Tuesday night’s primary elections across the country, which makes it a perfect week to kick off our series of conversations with the men and women who have their eyes on the biggest political prize of all, the White House. GOP Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, of course, has not announced yet. But, he’s a rising star in the party. And he’s starting to put in his time in places like Iowa. We’re so glad to see you hear this morning. MINNESOTA GOVERNOR TIM PAWLENTY: Good morning, George. Thanks for having me. STEPHANOPOULOS: So, let’s start out talking about the oil spill. You’ve been pretty tough on President Obama, saying the rig explosion happened on his watch. But, do you really think he could have done anything to prevent it? PAWLENTY: Well, we know a number of things. First of all, we have to get all the facts. But, one fact that’s important, in April of 2009, under this administration’s watch, the relevant federal agencies approved categorical waivers for environmental review for this operation. You know, that’s a significant decision. STEPHANOPOULOS: That was following the practice of past administrations. PAWLENTY: Yeah, we should be fair and say the notion that all administrations had these kind of operations going and they had no plan for really responding to this kind of disaster is horribly disappointing. A significant failure of government, broadly. But, we also know during this administration’s watch, they had the final say up or down on this operation. STEPHANOPOULOS: And does it make you rethink your support for oil drilling? Do you support, for example, the pause until we’re sure all of the rigs are safe? PAWLENTY: I do support the pause. We also need to make sure- this is an industry that’s operated 40 or 50 years, mostly without incident. But, you can’t have these things pumping oil on the bottom of the ocean floor without a plan and capacity to respond to a crisis like that. It’s pretty clear, they had no plan for what happens if a blowout preventer fails. STEPHANOPOULOS: Who should pay for all of this now? The Chamber of Commerce has said that it shouldn’t be all BP’s responsibility, that the federal government should pick up part of the tab. Do you agree with that? PAWLENTY: No. I mean, on what theory would the for be responsible for BP’s failure? The facts are still coming in. But, there were news reports coming in that there was a test for the blowout preventer. And it was delayed at BPs request. Now, what was behind that? Were they concerned because there was a malady or failure in the system? Why didn’t that come to the surface of the discussion earlier? There’s going to be questions and hopefully answers along those lines. STEPHANOPOULOS: Let’s talk about election night, Tuesday. Who was the big winner? PAWLENTY: Women. This is going to be, I think, in part, the year of woman. That’s a great thing. Particularly for my party, our party. My party needs to have more faces and voices that aren’t just middle-aged men. And so, I really applaud and celebrate the success of our women candidates. Susana Martinez down in New Mexico is going to be a fantastic candidate. Of course, you have got Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina and others in California. I think it’s going to be terrific and I think, of course, the pendulum, we believe, is swinging back the other wary. STEPHANOPOULOS: You didn’t mention Sharron Angle, who’s going to be the Senate candidate up against Harry Reid. And I want to show you something she said on election night. SHARRON ANGLE: They said that Reagan was too conservative to win. There’s no such thing. STEPHANOPOULOS: Now, you know Democrats are licking their chops. They look at Sharron Angle’s record. They say she wants to do away with Social Security, the Department of Education, the Environmental Protection Agency, the IRS, make alcohol illegal. And they say that sure is too conservative. Are you concerned that some of your new candidates, especially those who have been backed by the Tea Party, may make it harder to win those seats in November? PAWLENTY: Well, each state is different. Each race is different. I don’t think you want to make a broad generalization that somebody is too conservative. What works in Nevada may be different than what works in Vermont. As a general rule, the Republican Party is a conservative party. The values and traditions that we have- STEPHANOPOULOS: Doing away with Social Security? PAWLENTY: Well, I’m not familiar with all of her record. But, you know, doing away with Social Security is not something I think most Republicans would support. We want to reform it and fix it and try to move it in a market direction. But I think most Republicans would say Social Security needs to be reformed, not abolished. STEPHANOPOULOS: So, I know, if you want to, you can tell us you’re going to run for President, if you want to take the opportunity. PAWLENTY: I’m going to, George. President of my hockey association. STEPHANOPOULOS: I knew- very good pause. Okay. Give us a window in how you’re thinking about it. How you’re thinking about looking at the race. And what would tip your decision one way or another? PAWLENTY: Well, a number of things. I’m very concerned about the direction of the country. I think I have ideas and experience, based on my time in Minnesota, a blue state. Conservative governor, reducing spending, holding line on taxes, reforming schools and public pensions and many other things. So, first of all, there’s a concern. I want to contribute to it and improve the outlook for the country in 2010. As to 2012, the way I look at it, if I can add value to the debate and be the one that delivers the message, I’d at least be open to continuing to public life in some fashion. But, maybe not. So, part of it is, is the message needed? Am I the one who should help deliver it? Or can I help in other ways? STEPHANOPOULOS: When you were thinking of running for governor of Minnesota, your wife Mary grabbed you by the lapels and said, “We need you. Minnesota needs you. You’ve got to do it.” What is she saying now?” PAWLENTY: [Laughs] My wife Mary, who I hope is watching this morning is wonderful. I hope you have a chance to meet her sometime. She has got great advice. But, she is very supportive to me continuing to play a role in public service, but is open to what that may be. You know, mostly to run for president these days, you have to be famous, have a lot of money or have novelty. I don’t have anything of that. But I have some good ideas and some good experience.

MTV’s Musical March Madness Final Four Preview: Coheed And Cambria

They’ve done away with Paramore, Mastodon and Phish — but can they take down Tokio Hotel? By James Montgomery Coheed and Cambria Photo: Sony/Getty Images/MTV News Who : The hard-riffing, hirsute champions of the South region in MTV’s Musical March Madness tournament , Coheed and Cambria have outgunned pretty much everyone on their run to the Final Four — including a #2 and a #6 seed — and now stand as a legitimate threat to win the whole thing. It all starts with C&C mastermind Claudio Sanchez, a threat to score from pretty much anywhere on the floor. As comfortable driving and dishing as he is penning bong-glazed, beard-y graphic novels, Sanchez is sort of like the musical equivalent of John Wall , except with better hair. Let’s just call him the MVP of the whole tourney. How They Got Here : The selection committee was unkind to Coheed, saddling them with a #15 seed and scheduling a first-round matchup against highly favored #2 Paramore. Undaunted, C&C blasted Hayley Williams and company 60-40, then made quick work of their second-round opponent, fellow shredders Mastodon. Looming in the Sweet 16 were #6 Phish, who — after favorites the Kings of Leon, Paramore and the Dave Matthews Band were all bounced from the tourney — were seen as the favorites to win the region. But once again, Coheed rose to the occasion, winning a bruising 56-44 showdown and moving on to the Elite Eight, where they dispensed of Alice in Chains with relative ease. Through it all, Coheed have proven to not only be the band no one wants to face, but the band that seemingly cares more about winning this whole thing than anyone else. And that tenacity has paid off in spades. The Outlook : Rabid, die-hard fanbase? Check (and then some). Dedicated bandmembers with too much free time on their hands? Yep. An actual, upcoming album to promote? Indeed. A few weeks ago, it would have seemed improbable (we didn’t see them beating Paramore, to be honest), but at this point, Coheed have the right chemistry to take the championship. They’ll face their toughest test in the Final Four, squaring off against #16 Tokio Hotel — a matchup of two bands with insane-o fans and nothing left to lose. The Internet shall surely buckle beneath the weight of their votes. Throughout the day, we’ll be breaking down the four bands still standing in MTV’s Musical March Madness tournament. Voting on the Final Four opens Friday (April 2) on the Newsroom blog and runs until Sunday night. Related Photos MTV News’ Band Bracketology Related Artists Coheed and Cambria

MTV’s Musical March Madness Final Four Preview: My Chemical Romance

After a hard-won victory over 30 Seconds to Mars, MCR face Muse in the Final Four. By James Montgomery My Chemical Romance Photo: Chapman Baehler/Getty Images/MTV News Who : The last band standing in the certifiably wild West region in MTV’s Musical March Madness tournament , My Chemical Romance have to be considered the favorites to win it all at this point, based on the bands they’ve bested and the help they’re getting from their friends in 30 Seconds to Mars (more on that in a bit). Up until the departure of drummer Bob Bryar , My Chem were one of the few bands in the tournament who could field an actual basketball team (there were five of them) but even when playing a man down, they’re a formidable squad, with the Way brothers running the show from the guard positions, Frank Iero scoring from the wing, and the indomitable inside presence of Ray Toro. Dude can totally dunk. How They Got Here : My Chem’s tournament was really a story of two halves — everything leading up to their Sweet 16 tilt against 30 Seconds to Mars and everything after it. MCR entered the field as a #5 seed and bounced opening-round opponent Gorillaz with relative ease. In the second round, they were pitted against formidable #4 seed Pearl Jam, and to the surprise of pretty much everyone, they positively rolled them, winning 63-37. That set up the now legendary Sweet 16 bloodfest against 30STM, a battle of bands with unyielding, fervent fanbases (the MCRmy and the Echelon, respectively). It was a back-and-forth affair, and in a fitting twist, it ended up tied, with each band grabbing 50 percent of the vote. After more than 50,000 ballots were counted, MCR were declared the winners (by a scant 327 votes). Though defeated, 30STM threw their support behind My Chem, which resulted in them absolutely destroying Panic! at the Disco in the Elite Eight. The Outlook : With the power of 30 Seconds to Mars behind them — not to mention the might of the MCRmy — there’s really no stopping My Chemical Romance, and a trip to the championship game seems a mere formality at this point. It almost doesn’t matter that they haven’t released a note of new music in more than a year or that their still-untitled fourth album has been in the works for nearly as long (or that they might not have a drummer right now). MCR are balanced, determined and tournament-tested. They’ll face off against Muse in the Final Four and, call us bandwagon-jumpers, but we like their chances. Throughout the day, we’ll be breaking down the four bands still standing in MTV’s Musical March Madness tournament. Voting on the Final Four opens Friday (April 2) on the Newsroom blog and runs until Sunday night. Related Photos Who Will Win MTV’s Musical March Madness?! Ricky Martin Officially Comes Out

‘I am a fortunate homosexual man,’ Martin writes on his blog. By Jocelyn Vena Ricky Martin Photo: Dan MacMedan/ WireImage Ricky Martin has officially come out of the closet . The Latin pop superstar, who became a father to twin boys in 2008, made the announcement on his blog on Monday (March 29). In the blog post, he writes that he decided to share the truth about his sexuality after he began work on his memoirs. “A few months ago I decided to write my memoirs, a project I knew was going to bring me closer to an amazing turning point in my life,” he wrote. “From the moment I wrote the first phrase I was sure the book was the tool that was going to help me free myself from things I was carrying within me for a long time. Things that were too heavy for me to keep inside. Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And this is something worth celebrating. “For many years, there has been only one place where I am in touch with my emotions fearlessly and that’s the stage,” he continued. “Being on stage fills my soul in many ways, almost completely. It’s my vice. The music, the lights and the roar of the audience are elements that make me feel capable of anything. This rush of adrenaline is incredibly addictive. I don’t ever want to stop feeling these emotions. But it is serenity that brings me to where I’m at right now. An amazing emotional place of comprehension, reflection and enlightenment. At this moment I’m feeling the same freedom I usually feel only on stage, without a doubt, I need to share.” In the blog post, he notes that throughout his career he has been advised to not talk about his sexuality. “Many people told me: ‘Ricky it’s not important,’ ‘it’s not worth it,’ ‘all the years you’ve worked and everything you’ve built will collapse,’ ‘many people in the world are not ready to accept your truth, your reality, your nature.’ Because all this advice came from people who I love dearly, I decided to move on with my life not sharing with the world my entire truth,” he wrote. “Allowing myself to be seduced by fear and insecurity became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage. Today I take full responsibility for my decisions and my actions.” He noted that there are many things that he is more afraid of than “the truth” about who he is. “If someone asked me today, Ricky, what are you afraid of? I would answer the blood that runs through the streets of countries at war … child slavery, terrorism … the cynicism of some people in positions of power, the misinterpretation of faith.’ But fear of my truth? Not at all! On the contrary, it fills me with strength and courage. This is just what I need especially now that I am the father of two beautiful boys that are so full of light and who with their outlook teach me new things every day,” he wrote. “To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment. “These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn’t even know existed. “What will happen from now on? It doesn’t matter. I can only focus on what’s happening to me in this moment. The word ‘happiness’ takes on a new meaning for me as of today. It has been a very intense process. Every word that I write in this letter is born out of love, acceptance, detachment and real contentment,” he wrote. “Writing this is a solid step towards my inner peace and vital part of my evolution.” He then concludes the post by saying: “I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.” What do you think of Ricky Martin’s announcement? Let us know in the comments below! Related Artists Ricky Martin
