Lil Wayne cover arrives ahead of Biebs’ forthcoming Christmas album. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: Christopher Polk/ Getty Images First, it was Demi Lovato , and now, Justin Bieber is jumping on the Lil Wayne “How to Love” bandwagon. On Wednesday (September 28), the singer dropped his acoustic version of the ballad. According to a tweet from Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun , Bieber produced and played all of the instruments on the song, which shows the singer growing as an artist and his ability to embrace older lyrical content. He plays guitar and percussion, displaying his skills an instrumentalist, and, as fans have seen over the course of this year, he also sings in a lower key. About a minute and a half into the track, Bieber even shows off his rapping skills when he spits, “I just want to take my time/ I just want to my thing/ Maybe we press rewind/ Maybe I buy that ring/ We could grow old together/ Just share our souls together/ Find how to love, kiss and hug/ How to roll together/ I just need you by my side/ Maybe we could be alright/ I just want to hold you right/ We can into the night/ You’re the one I need.” Braun also shared that there’s more new music coming out from Bieber, tweeting, “He has some more remixes coming too. right @seankingston.” This week, Bieber heads to South America for a string of dates on the next leg of his My World Tour, and he had this message for all the Bieliebers out there: “U know what … I LOVE MY FANS!! and yeah i know there r haterz but u cant stop us from living our dream. hard work and this team. #wegohard.” In related news, Bieber tweeted out the date “#nov1st,” perhaps a hint as to when his highly anticipated Christmas album will drop. The album, which will feature confirmed track “Falalalala” with Boyz II Men , is also rumored to contain collaborations with Sean Kingston and Taylor Swift, as well as a super-secret collaboration with “1 of the most #Legendary performers ever,” according to a tweet from Braun. Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman said, “[Bieber] thought we’d be perfect for it. And we went in and locked in.” Share your thoughts on Bieber’s version of “How to Love” in the comments below! It amazes me that Jersey Shore Exists. It amazes me when I talk to people who watch it religiously because I just wouldn’t put myself through that kind of shit for no reason, I feel like life has punished me enough….and I’ve done enough self abusive things that I can live a happy miserable life without this shit….. It also amazes me that there are a group of people who watch the show, cuz they think these people are cool…I mean I just assumed as an industrialized nation, the only reason they exist is cuz people point and laugh at the the trainwreck… It amazes me even more that anyone, even in Vegas, the asshole of America, would pay this pig to get half naked and host events….because the last time I paid for a pig to wear a bikini….it was when I was living on a farm and I got to cook the fucker and eat him over the course of a week when I was done fucking it…. That said, some stories are better kept to myself.
In the Palin family, “T” stands for “family.” That makes perfect sense, then, why Bristol Palin would get a cursive “T” tattooed on herself recently. Bristol got the ink on her right foot, with her rep explaining: “T is for Tripp, Trig, Track and Todd,” her son, two brothers and father, respectively. The totally terrific tribute. See what we did there??! Bristol with rumored boyfriend Kyle (middle) and Chris Massey . Palin debuted the new tattoo, not that you can see it here, at a lunch date at Pink’s Hot Dogs in West Hollywood, Calif., with Kyle and Chris Massey. She is reportedly dating Kyle Massey , much to mother Sarah Palin’s chagrin, and will be starring with him and his brother Chris on a new reality show. Yes, we’re serious. “Kyle and Bristol hit it off from the first day they met,” Chris told People recently. “We all became good friends. Over the course of the show, we only got closer and closer. Both of our families connect well. It’s one big happy family.” That’s not what we heard. In fact, Sarah reportedly bought a place near Bristol’s Arizona digs to keep tabs on her. But who knows. Time will tell. At least it can’t be worse than the last family Bristol was involved with. No one hates the Palins, and vice versa, like Levi and Mercede Johnston . [Photo: WENN.com]
‘It was cool to play something evil and dark,’ actor tells MTV News. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Christopher Mintz-Plasse in “Fright Night” Photo: DreamWorks The vampires in “Fright Night” might not sparkle in the sunlight, but star Christopher Mintz-Plasse still understands their appeal. “Now I get it, why people play vampires,” he told MTV News during Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week. “I’m like, there’ve been vampire movies. [But] that was really a lot of fun to do.” The crux of the issue, director Craig Gillespie explained, is that vampires are sexy. He made the argument that there are always vampire movies, but their popularity surges in waves. In the ’80s, there was “The Lost Boys,” in the ’90s there was “Interview With the Vampire” and now it’s “The Twilight Saga” keeping the vampire craze afloat. The key was finding a good vampire to sit at the flick’s center, and Gillespie said he always knew lead Colin Farrell would be good for the part. Farrell’s character, Jerry, is dark but also has a humorous aspect, and Gillespie was impressed with Farrell’s ability to walk that line. He knew it wouldn’t be a hard sell either because Hollywood celebrities tend to be drawn to vampire films. “It’s one of those things that actors love to do, because you’re getting to play sort of an iconic kind of character that has all this history with them. You get to have a lot of fun with it,” Gillespie explained. Mintz-Plasse certainly did. His character, Ed, gets ( spoiler alert! ) converted to a vampire in the movie, and Mintz-Plasse was psyched to whip out his inner bloodsucker. “It was cool to play something evil and dark,” he said. First trailer from the film has been released following a preview at last month’s San Diego Comic-Con. By Aubrey Sitterson “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” Photo: Columbia Pictures One of the most surprising things to come out of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was footage from “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.” Everyone knew that the film was roaring down the highway toward us, but no one expected it to actually look, well, good. After scenes from the movie were shown at the event, the Internet was abuzz with talk of fans finally getting the “Ghost Rider” movie they deserve. Now, you can see what all the fuss was about for yourself with the first trailer for the upcoming film . Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” is the sequel to 2007’s “Ghost Rider.” The biker with the flaming-skull head has long been one of Marvel’s darker and more twisted characters, especially considering his backstory as a motorcycle daredevil whose pact with the devil didn’t turn out quite as he planned. As the Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze rides America’s forgotten highways, meting out vengeance with his flaming bike, signature chain and a host of fire-based powers. Like the 2007 film, “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” features Nicolas Cage, and the character boasts a whole new look that ties into the darkness at the Ghost Rider’s core. “The Ghost Rider is just the coolest-looking superhero, and it has to be the one that goes to film and looks the best,” Cage told MTV News last month. “I think they’ve achieved that with this.” At the helm of “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” are Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine , the pair of directors best known for their high-octane flicks “Crank” and “Crank: High Voltage.” The duo told MTV News that they were test-driving all-new techniques while filming the movie, including Neveldine strapping on Rollerblades and clinging to the back of a motorcycle just to get a single amazing shot. That commitment to madness is clearly on display in the new trailer for “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance,” as the movie looks to be fully embracing what makes the character so spectacularly over-the-top. Though it starts out slow, by the one-minute mark, you’ll find yourself up to your leather jacket in explosive, flame-drenched action. Over the course of the trailer, you’ll see the Ghost Rider take out cars with his chain, spit bullets at bad guys and even pee fire. Seriously — he actually pees fire, and it’s absolutely awesome. ‘I didn’t hold anything back,’ Gaga tells MTV News about upcoming photo book. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: MTV News Late last month, Lady Gaga announced she was teaming with photographer/provocateur Terry Richardson to release a hefty coffee-table book, one that features more than 350 photos of the singer taken by Richardson over the course of 10 months. The two have worked together — with appropriately pulse-quickening results — several times in the past, most notably a September 2010 cover shoot for Vogue Hommes Japan that served as a sneak peek of the now-infamous meat dress she wore to the 2010 VMAs, and a clothing-optional campaign for Supreme in February 2011. But if you thought those shots were shocking, well, get ready for the duo’s book, which, as Gaga told MTV News on Monday night in New York, will push things even further. “Terry was with me for [almost] a whole year, and, gosh, I didn’t hold anything back from Terry … he was with me every minute, every moment,” she said. “It’s completely unfiltered. He has photographs of me waking up in the morning, brushing my teeth, in the bathroom, in the bathtub, the shower. And the thing about Terry, if you know anything about his photography, is that nothing is staged; I mean, that’s sort of what he is renowned for. He can get you to do things and he can capture things that no one can ever capture. “What I love so much about Terry is that he thinks everything is so beautiful. I’m always, ‘Oh Terry, get out of here,’ and he’s like, ‘Oh, it’s so beautiful, let me just shoot it,’ ” she continued. “I felt so comfortable with Terry. I love him so much. He’s a really close friend, and I feel really honored that he traveled [with me].” Gaga said the self-titled book (which hits stores November 22) not only showcases her whirlwind life — it follows her from the main stage of Lollapalooza to her Maine rally to repeal “don’t ask, don’t tell” to the final shows of her Monster Ball Tour in Mexico City — but the lives of her ultra-dedicated fans too. That was as much a goal as the unfettered access was. And, from the sound of things, the book manages to accomplish both. “My favorite thing, honestly, is that [Richardson] loved the fans. He shot the fans the same way he shot me: with no pretense. No ‘Well, she’s put out records and they haven’t.’ None of that. The music was all of ours,” she said. “He would come backstage and he would say, ‘Oh my God, the fans! ‘ And I’d say, ‘I know … I know what you just photographed.’ And he’d say, ‘Baby, wow! ‘ And then he’d film me, like, peeing in a cup and, like, ridiculous things.” Related Photos A Day In The Life Of Lady Gaga Related Artists Lady Gaga
