According to multiple entertainment news outlets, Parker was reportedly cheating on Longoria with Erin Berry, the wife of his onetime NBA teammate Brent Barry. The Berrys are reportedly in the middle of their own divorce. Longoria found hundreds of text messages exchanged between her husband and Erin, according to USWeekly.com . Brent Barry’s father, NBA Hall of Famer Rick Barry, spoke to TMZ about the rumors, saying, “I feel horrible for my son. I’m in shock. I knew [Erin] was moving out of the house soon and she was the one that filed for divorce. This is the straw that broke the camel’s back. [Brent] is going to be devastated. I can’t even imagine him going through this … the divorce was hard enough news.” Meanwhile, Longoria is getting all the support she needs from her friends. “Eva wants everyone to know she’s devastated by the rumors of Tony’s infidelity. She loved her husband and is heartbroken about their split,” Longoria’s longtime pal and “Extra” host Mario Lopez said. “But she’s strong.” “Extra” confirmed that Longoria found the texts exchanged between Parker and Berry. The show also reported that Longoria will no longer appear at the American Music Awards this Sunday and will spend Thanksgiving with friends. On Wednesday, Longoria and Parker released nearly identical statements confirming the split. The “Desperate Housewives” star tweeted, “It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. Eva Longoria’s rep shot down a report that Tony Parker filed for divorce in Texas this week, but that doesn’t appear to be the end of the marriage drama. A source tells People that the Desperate Housewives star does in fact plan to file divorce papers of her own soon, perhaps as early as this afternoon. Rep for ‘Desperate Housewives’ star denies Parker filed divorce papers, after gossip site reports a split. By Kara Warner Tony Parker and Eva Longoria Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images Initial reports that celeb couple Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are headed for divorce have turned out to be a false alarm. Gossip site TMZ first reported on Tuesday (November 16) that San Antonio Spurs player Parker filed for divorce at a Texas courthouse Monday. The site claimed two clerks at the Bexar County Courthouse confirmed papers were filed and sealed by a family law judge. But about an hour later, TMZ took down the story and replaced it with a statement from Longoria’s rep saying that no such case had been filed and that Parker does not have a divorce lawyer. Longoria’s rep also confirmed to MTV News that Parker has not filed for divorce. TMZ now reports that a different clerk at the Texas courthouse claims she is in charge of sealed cases and that no such case crossed her desk. Longoria, 35, and Parker, 28, met in November 2004 and were engaged in November 2006. They exchanged vows during a small civil service and again, a day later, on July 7, 2007, at Chateau of Vaux le Vicomte, a 17th-century castle on the outskirts of Paris. Even in light of a spate of celebrity splits , the news of Parker and Longoria’s split was surprising as the couple is frequently photographed cuddling and generally appearing happy together. Just last month, Longoria stopped by the “Ellen” show, where she told host Ellen DeGeneres that Parker surprises her every year for their anniversary and that this year he took her to Croatia. Mid-story, Longoria seemed to sense that DeGeneres might be planning one of her signature “scares,” and when the actress turned around, Parker was standing on set. He ran out and gave her a hug and kiss in front of the audience.
