VMA Performer Chris Brown A ‘Champ,’ Busta Rhymes Says

‘Look at Me Now’ collaborator Rhymes won’t say whether he’ll join CB onstage at the VMAs. By Rob Markman Chris Brown and Busta Rhymes in the “Look at Me Now” music video Photo: Jive Look at Chris Brown now. While the singer and prolific performer dominated headlines for years, the focus hasn’t always been solely on his music. But as we inch closer to the 2011 Video Music Awards , Busta Rhymes expects big things from his buddy. “You know, for Chris especially, this is probably his first run where the obstacles aren’t like they have been for him over the last couple of years, so he really got something to get off his chest,” Busta Rhymes told MTV News on the red carpet of the BMI Urban Awards on Friday night in Los Angeles. “I think people have been seeing that with just his whole success run this year.” Two years after his assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna, Brown has turned attention back to his musical accomplishments in 2011. He has flooded the charts with a number of singles from his F.A.M.E. album, including “Deuces,” “She Ain’t You,” “Beautiful People” and of course his multiple VMA-nominated “Look at Me Now,” featuring Lil Wayne and Busta. “He definitely bounced back like a G and a champ,” Bussa Bus said. “I’m saluting him and I’m proud of him.” And as choreographers Rich and Tone build up our anticipation of Chris Brown’s performance at the VMAs , Busta wouldn’t confirm or deny his participation in the set. “I can’t really give you any details,” the Brooklyn rapper said of Sunday’s performance. “I don’t know what we’re gonna do. I don’t know what he’s gonna do.” The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday from Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Selena Gomez-hosted pre-show at 8. Lindsay Lohan In Talks To Appear On ‘Celebrity Apprentice’

Donald Trump approached Lilo about appearing on the show, according to Lindsay’s mom, Dina Lohan. By Kara Warner Lindsay and Dina Lohan Photo: David Aguilera/ BuzzFoto/FilmMagic Lindsay Lohan has had her share of career and personal setbacks recently. Movie projects going straight to DVD (2009’s dud “Labor Pains,” for example), being fitted with a SCRAM bracelet stemming from her 2007 DUI arrest, a public and volatile breakup with ex Samantha Ronson … What is a celebrity with a wilting reputation to do? Turn to reality TV, of course, if Lohan’s mother Dina is to be believed. Mama Lohan revealed Thursday (June 10) that her daughter is in talks to appear as a contestant on the next “Celebrity Apprentice,” and has been approached by none other than Donald Trump himself. “Donald approached Lindsay about being on ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ so we’ll see where it goes,” Dina Lohan told People magazine. “I think it’s a great idea for her, but Lindsay has two movies coming up [“Machete” and “Inferno”], so I don’t know if Lindsay has time. It may conflict with her schedule.” Dina cited Lindsay’s SCRAM bracelet — a device that detects alcohol consumption through the measurement of the wearer’s perspiration — and the terms of her probation agreement as potential roadblocks in the way of her participation. “She can’t leave L.A., the judge won’t even let Lindsay go to Texas to shoot ‘Machete,’ so I just don’t know if it’ll work out.” The Donald reportedly approached Lindsay because of his relationship with the Lohan family. “He’s a very good friend of the family and he’s had our back for years.” she said. “He’s a great dad, and he would do anything to help us.” The former Disney star is said to be meeting with Trump within the next week to discuss participation on the show, which recently crowned Bret Michaels its latest winner. Brazil to Welcome New Woodstock in October 2010?

Itu, a small town 100 kilometers from Sao Paulo, could be the location of a new edition of Woodstock, that little festival in 1969 that changed everything. Even though the event has not been confirmed, a well known advertising personality from Brazil is giving twitter updates and announcing they'll be able to talk about it in a month. More inside. Says Yahoo Brazil that the event would be a partnership between the company Groove Concept and advertising guru Eduardo Fischer. Even if the businessman and his company have released notes stating that all news so far is pure speculation, he has written on his twitter account: “In 29 days we'll be able to talk about a big sustainability even that will need your participation. #WOODSTOCK AND YOU HELPING THE PLANET”. Yahoo Brazil goes on to say that the festival's creator, Michael Lang, has authorized the organization of the event, and that it would take place on October 07-09 in a ranch called Maeda, information that also confirms a2media. Both say that bands could include Green Day, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam and Bob Dylan, although Fischer has made clear that nothing is official yet. However, the a2media blog noted that Pearl Jam could be giving some clues about their participation in Woodstock Brazil through their website. There's also an event site at last.fm. What do you think? Is this happening? If so, we cannot wait! We'll keep you posted. added by: love_is_my_religion

US Mastermind Credit Card Hacker Has Been Sentenced

Computer expert Albert Gonzalez has been imprisoned for 20 years in the US for his participation in stealing more than 130 million credit and debit card numbers. He was incriminated together with two Russian co-conspirators for hacking into the retailer payment system. According to the judge who sentenced him, this is the largest and most costly example of computer hacking in the history of United States. Albert Gonzalez is known to be a computer hacker and computer criminal. He is charged of masterminding and organizing the combined credit card theft. He was also the man behind the succeeding reselling of more than 170 million card and ATM numbers from the year 2005 until 2007. This has been the biggest fraud ever recorded in the history of US. The attacks done by Gonzalez and his conspirators started on December 2007 at Heartland Payment Systems, August 2007 in 7-11 store and American supermarket Hannaford Brothers in November 2007. Gonzalez and his team were reported to be targeting big companies and that they critically studied their check-out poles and planned on attacks through the companies internet-connected computers. According to the investigation, Gonzalez and his accomplices have used SQL injection and packet sniffer malware software to create backdoors to many corporate systems in order to access and steal computer data. In September 2009 in Miami, Gonzalez pleaded guilty at his trial. He confessed that due to too much curiosity and addiction he committed this heinous crime. As part of a plea bargain, he surrendered to the court some expensive jewelry, watches, his own car and home. He had also given cash amounting to $1million which he had buried in his parents’ garden. Fmy booger

Oh, okay, that’s just nasty. Stop putting your finger there, it is so not sexy, and so not healthy. Gosh that’s really green! No, don’t put it in your … okay, we’re not hungry anymore. Hello everybody else, if you’re not a pig, you’re welcome! Today we’re featuring a new artist, who dared to approach the mysterious Booger world. Yami. Ladies, gentlemen, nose monsters, please welcome Andrew Bargeron , also known as Gimetzco ! Andrew is 35. He lives in Nashville (TN) where he’s designing t-shirts, drawing funny pictures, album covers, lunch boxes and yes, he’s getting paid (and laid) for that. You want to be a comic designer yourself? So listen to Andrew ‘s story, it may give you some tips on getting the greatest job of all time. In 1995, after college, Andrew started illustrating for a ska band called My Man Friday. From then on his focus was largely on working for bands. Through the years he’d like to think that he has improved in his abilities, to the point where major label bands like Phantom Planet, Reel Big Fish and Weezer contacted him to illustrate for them. In 2005 he started focusing on T-shirt and screen print style design. Recently, he has shifted his focus to designing t-shirts (and other designs) with an aged poster motif. He has been printed by Threadless, Woot, Spring Leap and Ript Apparel, so yes, he’s a star and yes you can buy one of his t-shirts and walk proudly in the street, because the artist who designed it is so cool, and he illustrated one of your favourite FML stories. Or something like that.   His current projects are pretty various as our today’s hero loves to try several ways to create, to then feel several ways of stress. He’s working on the conception of a toy called Brain Thing and a bunch of characters called the Cryptid Crew that he imprints on t-shirts, posters and a bunch of other stuff. This is what Andrew loves, drawing a story (or elements of a story) but in a one single image, and in as many different ways as possible. And he’s doing it perfectly.   Andrew loves hanging out with his wife and their dog and cat. He really enjoys the fantastic but not the usual fantasy stuff (orcs, goblins, trolls. we hate trolls too), he quite enjoys genre cinema, particularly Grindhouse/Drive in movies, but more sci-fi horror than exploitation. He also likes making music (which can be found on his website as well). He is a real Leonardo da Vinci for the 21th century. ” -Why did you choose this FML, lovely Andrew ? -Booger is a very commonly used word in my daily vocabulary, and I like monsters plenty. -So the booger-monster was inevitable. And why did you decide to send an illustration to  FML? -I was asked, and upon investigating, noticed some of my well respected peers (notably Muckpuddy and Jublin) were contributing, so I figured I’d give it a go .”   We’re glad you did. Thanks for your participation Andrew !   If you want to be the next published artist, send an email to alice@fmylife.com which starts with a hello and ends with a goodbye, including your name, age, and a link to your website/blog. If you don’t have one, attach some of your drawings. But DON’T send your illustration right away! You need first to get in touch with Alice, who saw her computer dying at 2 A.M, who will tell you what you have to do!
