Teen Mom OG: Back and More Dramatic Than Ever!

What did we ever do to deserve so much Teen Mom greatness? The current season of Teen Mom 2 has provided us with such delightful drama, from Kailyn Lowry's issues with her baby daddies to Jenelle Evans' issues with, well, everyone. And it's not even over yet — we still get to see Jenelle's wedding on the show, not to mention the reunion, which is sure to be amazing and terrible , all at the same time. But even though we're still in Teen Mom 2 mode right now, it's important to note that the next season of Teen Mom OG is just around the corner. Seriously, the season premiere is in less than a month. On November 27th, we will be reunited with Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and Farrah Abraham. And it's going to be so good . In a quick little promo MTV was kind enough to release today, we get a glimpse at those four ladies and all the things that have gone on in their lives since we last saw them. First up is Amber. When we last saw her on the season finale, she broke up with Matt Baier after he failed a lie detector test . As we learned from social media, that wasn't when she actually broke up with him — he managed to hang on for a while, at least long enough to film a season of Marriage Boot Camp with her. But it looks like in this new season, we'll get to see the actual split, and thank goodness for that. In one clip, we see her tell someone that she's stronger than she looks, and in another we see her yell at Matt “I'm tired of being with someone that walks away. Get out!” Meanwhile, things seem to be going really well for Catelynn! She doesn't get much love in the promo — which is a good thing, at least in terms of how her actual life is going — but we do hear her say “I can't let my fears dictate what I want in life.” Oddly enough, Farrah isn't heavily featured here either. All we know about her storyline at this point is that she and Sophia are officially moving to L.A. But what about Maci and all that drug drama Ryan Edwards caused for her last season? At one point in the promo, we see Ryan looking more sober than we've seen him in a long, long time. “As his father,” Maci says, “you have to pass a drug test, and we're going to be there.” Can you even wait for this?! Kailyn Lowry Rules at Halloween, Coparenting!

Recently, Kailyn Lowry treated Lux to his first Disneyland trip . As a mom, she makes sure that her sons experience the joys that life and childhood have to offer. Over the weekend, she and her sons enjoyed an early Halloween celebration. And yes, of course there are pictures. On top of showing that she knows how to do Halloween right, Kailyn Lowry also made it very clear that she’s totally nailing this whole coparenting thing. First of all, look at these three precious boys and their mom. Kailyn is positively glowing with maternal joy. Remember — we all love Halloween as adults, either because we like the parties or because we like the movie marathons or because we like yard decorations or we like this time of year or it’s Gay Christmas or we just love any excuse to dress up and drink. But children? Halloween is a truly magical, wonderful night as children. It’s an adventure. You get to dress up and go to people’s houses and get free candy. As adults, we can all just buy candy. Kids don’t have that luxury. For them, especially at the ages of Isaac and Lincoln, Halloween is a miracle . But Kailyn’s sons weren’t the only kids invited to the pre-Halloween festivities. Here, we see Isaac and Lincoln posing with Vivi. Who is Vivi, you might ask? Jo Rivera and his fiancee, Vee Torres, were hanging out with Kailyn because Isaac is Jo’s son, too. Vivi is that couple’s young daughter. Coparenting is not always easy, but unless there are very good reasons to do otherwise, kids might be better off spending a holiday with both parents (if they’re getting along amicably) than being juggled back and forth between alternating holidays. And yes, Javi Marroquin was also there — which is no surprise. Kailyn and Briana DeJesus are feuding over Javi , if reports are to be believed, so we’d say that Kailyn cares about him quite a bit. Let’s not politicize Isaac and Lincoln’s meeting with this police mascot, folks. It’s not a political statement. Also, children need to know how to interact with and, usually, to trust police. (You can make all of the furry jokes that you like, though) Sadly, Lincoln and Isaac might have more police contact than any child should need to if Chris Lopez, Lux’s father, doesn’t change his ways. We’ve all learned the scary reason Kailyn keeps Chris Lopez away , and it’s about so much more than unsigned paternity papers. Reportedly, Chris Lopez has been physically abusive towards Kailyn, even going so far as hitting her while she was holding their baby. So Chris Lopez is conspicuously absent from this photo — with good reason. A shame that things were too awkward and Javi Marroquin couldn’t bring his alleged girlfriend Briana DeJesus . (Kidding! But can you imagine ?) No, but seriously. Not all families look like a creepy 1950s fantasy with a man and a woman and 2.5 kids. It’s fine if they do, but a lot of families are a lot more complicated. What matters is that you find a healthy and safe way to make it work, and that you always put the kids first. Maxim used to be a big deal and they used to pay me for traffic, back when they were a magazine and I was a website and they didn’t know how to be a website, so they’d buy plugs on sites…I didn’t mind taking their money, but I did always find them pretty fucking lame… Then the magazine was taken over by their lawyers, when they couldn’t quite figure out how to make all that stupid Maxim Money they were making before print died, and those lawyers would send me legal letters, threats to sue me, to take down all the images of theirs that I had on site because they paid me to post them…so I kind of hate Maxim… They were sold to some rich kid, they are doing better shoots, they are still doing their parties and Hometown Hottie Next Door shit…they still exist…and they had a Halloween party…and the top notch girls showed up…here are the pics…. Tara Reid was there and she’s perfect….always up for a good party…with a gnarly Cameltoe.. Josh Duggar, Sisters Lose Lawsuit Against Tabloid

In the wake of the Josh Duggar sex scandals , the perpetrator’s famous family lashed out in every direction, desperately seeking a way to blame anyone other than Josh. This meant giving interviews in which the blame was placed on the police department that released Josh’s records, and of course, on the tabloid that first broke the story that nearly destroyed the Duggars. Back in May of 2015, In Touch magazine was the first to report that Josh had molested five young girls , four of whom were his sisters, and was assisted in covering up his crimes by his parents. Several of the older Duggar sisters sued the magazine’s publisher, Bauer Media Group, claiming that the company violated victim protection laws by publishing police reports without redacting the Duggar name. (The victims were not named in the published documents, but the Duggars argued that it would be easy to deduce the identities of the victims based on the information provided.) Josh Duggar attempted to join his sisters’ lawsuit , but was rebuffed by their legal team. Eventually, Josh filed his own lawsuit against In Touch , seeking $75,000 in damages and arguing that the magazine had criminally impinged upon his privacy. On Friday, both cases were thrown out by U.S. District Judge Tim Brooks, who decreed that In Touch was well within its First Amendment rights to publish the information contained in the police reports. “Even if one assumes that the disclosure failed to comply with Arkansas statutory redaction requirements, it is clear that the Bauer defendants cannot be held liable, for the city’s and county’s failure to follow the law,” Brooks wrote in his ruling. The Duggar girls named several other parties in their suit, including the City of Springdale, Arkansas, Washington County, and several city officials, who they claim were responsible for the release of their information. While Brooks dismissed most of the defendants, the Duggars’ claims against a few parties, including former Springdale Police Chief Kathy O’Kelley, were allowed to remain active. Those cases will be decided at a later date. Despite that sliver of remaining hope, however, this is nothing less than a devastating legal blow for the Duggars. Their case was never about the damages being sought, but instead constituted an effort to save face by demonstrating that there were numerous guilty parties who were in some way involved in the now-infamous Josh Duggar sex scandal. The judge’s ruling confirms what millions already knew: No one but Josh and his parents is responsible for the atrocities that took place in the Duggar home. Phaedra Parks’ Divorce From Apollo Nida Thrown Out Looks like Phaedra may have jumped the gun a bit when she declared her divorce dead and gone — and Apollo may have rushed into a new engagement . According to TMZ , the judge in Phaedra’s divorce trial looked over a few things and ruled that the marriage should actually still stand at this point. The judge said that the divorce proceeding itself wasn’t actually fair to Apollo . Apparently, Apollo was led to believe that he would be able to attend court dates for the divorce from prison, which was never a possibility in the first place. Apparently, Apollo was also not notified about the final hearing, nor was he served with documents to let him know that the divorce was finalized. To top it all off, the judge said he was troubled several things within the divorce paperwork as well, like Phaedra “intentionally misspelling the parties’ names.” Hmmmm, do you think that Phaedra sabotaged her divorce on purpose ? Casey Affleck Breaks Silence, Addresses Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Casey Affleck has finally spoken out about the sexual harassment charges that have plagued him for months. For years , really, but these allegations have especially come to the forefront for the actor ever since the release (and subsequent critical acclaim) of his latest film, Manchester by the Sea. Affleck, of course, was awarded with the Best Actor trophy for his role in this drama on Sunday night at the Oscars. About seven years ago, however, two women who worked with Affleck on the movie I’m Still Here filed separate lawsuits, both of which accused him of “uninvited and unwelcome sexual advances in the workplace.” Affleck denied the allegations and both cases were settled out of court. In a statement made at the time, a spokesperson for the star said the dispute had “been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties and the lawsuits are being dismissed.” But questions have remained. Many folks have been uncomfortable with the recognition (in the form of positive press and many awards) Affleck has received in the wake of his Manchester by the Sea performance. Brie Larson, for example, presented Affleck with the Academy Award this week…  … and then stood around on stage, refusing to clap for him . Affleck has remained entirely silent on this controversial topic ever since the allegations returned to the spotlight last year. But he finally addressed them in a post-Oscars interview with The Boston Globe. This is what he said: I believe that any kind of mistreatment of anyone for any reason is unacceptable and abhorrent, and everyone deserves to be treated with respect in the workplace and anywhere else. There’s really nothing I can do about it. Other than live my life the way I know I live it and to speak to what my own values are and how I try to live by them all the time. The only other time Affleck addressed these charges was in a chat with The New York Times several months ago. He made the same sort of general, mostly meaningless statement in early November, too. “It was settled to the satisfaction of all,” he told the paper, adding: “I was hurt and upset – I am sure all were – but I am over it. It was an unfortunate situation – mostly for the innocent bystanders of the families of those involved.” Affleck has said that the terms of his settlement with the alleged victims prohibit him from speaking in detail about the lawsuits. Which is fair. But he might as well have saved himself a few words and simply released a shrug emoji as his statement in these cases. That would have said just as much, really.
