Christina Aguilera’s Bionic Due June 8

New single, ‘Not Myself Tonight,’ to premiere on singer’s Web site Tuesday. By James Dinh Christina Aguilera’s Bionic Photo: RCA It’s been three-and-a-half years since Christina Aguilera released Back to Basics, her last full album of new material, but the singer is finally ready to hit the music scene again. Over the past few years, she’s remained busy raising her son Max and wrapping up production on her film debut “Burlesque,” but on Thursday (March 25) she announced that her fourth studio album, Bionic, will drop on June 8, and its first single, “Not Myself Tonight,” will premiere at 6 p.m. ET Tuesday on ChristinaAguilera.com and will be available on iTunes on April 13. “Working on this album with so many talented artists and producers that I admire was really an amazing experience,” she said in a press release. “The artists I chose to work with added so many unique sonic layers to Bionic. My intention was to step into their world and what they do combined with my own vision and sound. The results were magic,” she said of her collaborators, which include Sia, Tricky Stewart, Polow Da Don, Linda Perry, Le Tigre, Hill & Switch and Ladytron, among others. “Not Myself Tonight” was produced by Polow Da Don and an early preview may be in the works, as an empty media player is on her Web site and asks fans to come back on Friday “for an exclusive preview.” Earlier this week, the song’s single artwork and lyrics were posted on Aguilera’s site; the lyrics suggest a re-emergence of the singer’s raunchy side that she flaunted during on 2002’s Stripped : “The old me’s gone I feel brand new/ And if you don’t like it, f– you.” Fans got an early glimpse of the singer’s new material when she debuted “Lift Me Up” during “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon in late January. The ballad, which was produced and written by Perry, will also be included on the album. Aguilera, whose work has spanned pop and throwback R&B in the past, suggested that yet more styles are featured on Bionic. “I was able to explore and create a fresh, sexy feel using both electronic and organic elements with subject matter ranging from playful to introspective. I am so excited for my fans to hear the new sound. It is something I don’t think anyone will expect,” she said. In addition to the release, the image of what appears to be the cover of Bionic was posted on her site. With her hair slicked back, a head shot of a robotic Aguilera is shown with the right side of her face revealing the mechanics of several musical instruments leading down to her neck with an opened, silver chokehold. Back in January, the singer spoke about the “futuristic” LP to Marie Claire, admitting that “maybe I’ve been afraid in the past to allow myself to go to a place of ‘less singing.’ ” On the new album, “I’m more vulnerable and more strong at the same time.” Are you excited for Christina’s new CD? Japanese Hip-Hop Producer Nujabes Died

http://e22.com/nujabes/ March 17th, 2010 Today, I have very somber news for the international hip hop community, especially fans of the independent hip hop scene, and those who have followed my career. It has been announced that Jun Seba, aka Nujabes, Japanese hip hop producer extraordinaire, passed away late February. Official statement from the label (in Japanese) here: http://hydeout.net/hydeout/2010/03/_hydeoutproductions.html We deeply regret the loss of a unique talent and a close friend. Through his soulful music, Nujabes has touched so many people around the world, even beyond his dreams. He was a mysterious character to most as he avoided the public limelight, rarely conducted interviews, so only a few got to know the man behind the signature production. Yet it continued to amaze me how young listeners of all backgrounds learned of his enigmatic name, and expressed support for his music. As I write now from Japan, I had been leaving him messages the past couple of weeks, trying to get in the studio together, so the news could not have come any more unexpected. Even last week, I passed by his house and called him thinking he was still home. I met Nujabes around 2000 and as an upcoming MC, I was fortunate to work on tracks such as Battlecry, F.I.L.O, Luv(sic) parts 1, 2 and 3. We had been working on the next trilogy of Luv(sic) over the past year (which we're determined to see through). The last time we talked in January, Nujabes emailed me to wish Jeff Resurreccion, a 19-year old beatboxer who had just passed way from cancer, his heartfelt condolences. While we continue to respect the privacy of his family, we will work to preserve his legacy, and pay tribute to the body of work, some unreleased, that he has left for us to enjoy. Jun Seba will be dearly missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and fans worldwide. in peace, Shing02 added by: TheBrownKid

Lilly Scott Trades ‘American Idol’ For ‘Indie Cred’

‘It was just my time to go out with a bang,’ she says. Lilly Scott performs on “American Idol” Photo: Frank Micelotta/ Getty Images Lilly Scott’s name was often mentioned in the same breath as Crystal Bowersox’s as this year’s “American Idol” female powerhouses. Looks like Crystal has that title to herself now. Scott seemingly had a ticket to the top 12 with her well-received take on Patsy Cline’s “I Fall to Pieces” and the coveted final performance slot, but her “Idol” journey came to an end during Thursday’s shocking results show . We caught up with Scott on Friday (March 12) to talk about her surprise elimination, what’s next and much more. Q : After you were eliminated, you made it clear that you were frustrated. What was going through your mind? A : Originally, trying out, I really just wanted to kind of break the mold and just kinda be that offbeat contestant that did exactly what I wanted to do. … I definitely have no regrets in that department. But just kind of watching certain people make it into the top 12 that have not done so well over the past three weeks and then based on the judges’ comments on my three songs the past three weeks, I was just kinda frustrated, just kinda feeling like my fanbase wasn’t really there, even though the judges and producers seemed to love me. I was feeling like I had a great run on the show. So I guess my fans weren’t there. So I guess that’s why I said, “I don’t know what America wants to listen to.” But then again, my voting demographic is probably more of the underground scene who probably doesn’t even own a TV, and if they do, they’re probably out riding their bike or doing something more productive than watching TV, let alone “American Idol.” I guess they just weren’t voting and that definitely was my falter. Q : Do you think singing the 50-year-old song “I Fall to Pieces” had anything to do with your downfall? A : I picked that song because I love Patsy Cline. It really describes who I want to be as an artist. But, then again, the “American Idol” voting demographic is probably mostly tweens, and I’m sure they don’t know who Patsy Cline is. So that probably affected me. But I’m staying true to my song choices and I’m definitely having no regrets. I just feel like maybe my fanbase and the audience I was playing to, which is the underground market, literally wasn’t watching the show and just supporting me in their hearts and not actually voting, and there’s the whole deal of maybe people just assumed I was safe and chose not to vote. Obviously, I really have no idea what happened, though. Q : Did you expect to go home this early? A : I did and I didn’t. In the past years I have watched “American Idol,” and it seems like every year, the person that I fall in love with goes home. And if that’s because I see true artistry in that contestant or I don’t know what it is, but I definitely feel like I got cut early. I knew that I could have done a great job next week with Rolling Stones, and I knew I could of really kicked butt in the top 12, but maybe I was just too off the wall for people or it was just my time to go out with a bang so I can still keep my indie cred [and] kind of do my own thing without having the “American Idol” label over my head. Q : Do you know how close the vote was on Thursday? A : No, they really don’t let us know any of that stuff. It’s actually really unfortunate, because I’m one to think, “Screw the establishment!” But I definitely would love to know the statistics. I don’t want to think anything was rigged, but I would also like to know how many votes I really had. Q : Who would be your dream collaborators? A : I would love to meet Thom Yorke from Radiohead and people like Bj

Does Lindsay Lohan Even Know That She’s Suing E*Trade? [Lawsuits]

Stupid lawsuits are filed every day, and Lindsay Lohan does stupid things every day. But is she really behind the E*Trade lawsuit that bears her name? According to a complaint filed in New York’s Nassau County Supreme Court on Monday, Lohan claims that the E*Trade advertisement that refers to a “milkaholic” named Lindsay appropriated her name and image without her consent, and she is seeking a whopping $100 million in damages and an injunction against further broadcast of the commercial. It’s a ludicrous claim, as former Gawker editor Joshua Stein, who happened to be reporting on the development of that very ad for Esquire and has produced documents showing that the “mikaholic” character was originally named “Deborah,” has demonstrated . But the strange thing about the suit is that the lead attorney on the case, Stephanie Ovadia, has done legal work for Michael Lohan in the past , and Michael has repeatedly posted fulsome praise of Ovadia’s legal skills to his Twitter feed as recently as January. Last we checked, Michael was still in the midst of his famous feud with Lindsay—just last week, father and daughter were lobbing tabloid insults at one another , with Lindsay saying she didn’t speak to Michael and calling him “nuts.” So why would she seek out her dad’s lawyer just a few days later to file a $100 million lawsuit? Sure, the high-end Hollywood lawyers that Lindsay has employed in the past wouldn’t be stupid enough to draw up the E*Trade complaint, but surely she could find a bottom-feeding attorney of her own to embarrass themselves for money and attention. And she could probably find one who is a member of the state bar in which the suit was filed. According to the web site of the New York Supreme Court’s Appellate Division , which is responsible for admitting attorneys to the New York bar, no one going by the name “Stephanie Ovadia” is currently entitled to appear before New York courts (which may explain the presence of Ovadia’s co-counsel Anand Ahuja, who is admitted to the bar, on the complaint). According to press accounts posted on Ovadia’s web site , she has practiced law in New York in the past. But she certainly doesn’t seem like a go-to lawyer for a multimillion dollar case—unless you can sue people for $100 million over parking tickets. Ovadia didn’t return a phone call and e-mail asking how she got involved in the case and whether she’d ever spoken to Lindsay Lohan about it. And we don’t really know where to go to ask someone from Lindsay’s side about it, considering the fact that her long-time publicist is on a “hiatus.” Her mother Dina Lohan told the New York Post today that Lindsay was outraged by the ad, adding, in a telling use of the first person, “I’m just basically glad I took a stand.” And to to complete the circle, Radar Online quoted Michael Lohan just two days ago saying that he and his ex-wife had reconnected and were “crying to each other” on the phone after he took a heart-related trip to the hospital. A cynic might suspect that Lindsay’s money-grubbing parents recently started talking again and hatched a plan to attach their daughter’s name to a bullshit lawsuit filed by a provincial lawyer that one of them knows. But we can’t imagine what sort of parents would treat their daughter that way.

Corey Haim Said He ‘Wouldn’t Change Anything’ About His Past

‘Then I wouldn’t have experiences like this. I wouldn’t know what I know,’ actor explained in a 2007 interview. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Corey Haim Photo: MTV News Corey Haim’s career as an ’80s movie idol and teen magazine staple was undone by his well-documented drug abuse with substances including alcohol, crack and prescription medication. Yet in a 2007 interview with MTV News, nearly three years before his death Wednesday (March 10) from an apparent drug overdose, Haim was adamant that he wouldn’t change anything about his past even if he could. “Everyone asks me, ‘Would you change anything, Corey Haim, from your past because of the drugs?’ ” he said. “No, except maybe the emotional hurt I put on my family and friends. But no, I wouldn’t change anything.” Haim went from one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, based on roles in “Lucas,” “The Lost Boys” and other films, to an out-of-work actor. But in 2007, Haim said he couldn’t imagine his life — at the time he was promoting his comeback reality show, “The Two Coreys,” for A&E — without those struggles with addiction. “Because then I wouldn’t have experiences like this,” he explained. “I wouldn’t know what I know. Thank God I’m still alive for some reason. I mean that. I wouldn’t be here talking to you right now. I don’t know where I’d be.” The actor blamed his great financial success in his teenage years for his downfall. “When you’re young and have money, you become the CEO of life,” he said. At age 35, however, he said he’d learned from his mistakes, and several times during the interview repeated a 12-step-style mantra about taking one day at a time. “Knock wood, [I feel] wonderful,” he said. “Right now, I’m in the best shape of my life. I’m 35 years old, I’m happy. Thank God my family’s healthy.” Related Videos Remembering Corey Haim MTV Rough Cut: Corey Haim ‘Lost Boys: The Tribe’: Exclusive Trailer And Details Related Photos Corey Haim: A Life In Photos

Alana Collins

This next post is about a Gold Coast, Queensland native by the name of Alana Collins. I had actually had her profile in my to do list for some time but as always and just like work that list get huge and things get lost. The pic that sparked my rememberance is one that I saw on Zoo Weekly and that has got me into action. Some of her credits to her name include Miss Vixen in FreeRider MX magazine, Miss Hummer 2009, Miss FRMX Vixen 2009, and was a finalised in the Ralph Australian Swimwear Model of the Year. If there was a competition for having a nice bum, and I mean a real comp, she would easily be in with a chance of taking the title. While looking awesome in a bikini and a nice pair of undies, Alana really has a good amount of fashion type shots that in many cases bring out the true beauty that this girl has. I like it when that happens. To see more pics of Alana click here and see more… Make Her Famous Comments
