A day after Josh Duggar was named by police as an alleged offender in a sexual molestation case, the reality star and his family have issued a statement. In response to this heinous scandal, they are not denying the charges. “Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret,” Josh tells People . “I hurt others, including my family and close friends … I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation.” “We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling.” “I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life,” added Josh, who did not elaborate on what the road entailed. TMZ was a lot less vague today, reporting that a decade ago, Duggar was investigated for multiple counts of sexual molestation as a teenager. The communications director for media conglomerate IAC which represents brands like OKCupid is in boiling water after publicly tweeting a racist joke that’s getting few if any laughs. Sacco, whose represented brands also include Vimeo and CollegeHumor, was not immediately available for comment. But her boss was. “This is an outrageous, offensive comment that does not reflect the views and values of IAC,” the company, operated by billionaire media executive Barry Diller, said in a statement to The News. “Unfortunately, the employee in question is unreachable on an international flight, but this is a very serious matter and we are taking appropriate action.” What that appropriate action may be for the public relations head, who describes herself as a “troublemaker on the side” on her Twitter account, may not be known until she lands. Conservative media personality Glenn Beck says that if A&E cancels Duck Dynasty, which some believe is inevitable, he’ll bring it to his network The Blaze. The hit reality show getting axed would’ve seemed unthinkable only 48 hours ago, but Phil Robertson’s suspension made it a very real possibility.
