Watch Steve Carell and Paul Rudd Mock LeBron James, Outback Steakhouse

If you missed the 2010 ESPY Awards last night, then you also missed Will Ferrell’s impression of a Vuvuzela ! (actually more annoying than the torture instrument used at the World Cup), Tracy Morgan’s send-up of Nelson Mandela, and a parody of LeBron James: The Decision , courtesy of Steve Carell and Paul Rudd.

5 Movies Better Suited for Betty White to Remake Than Oh God

Oh God , indeed. According to Deadline , uber-producer Jerry Weintraub has just pitched Warner Bros. on the idea of remaking the George Burns comedy Oh God , with eyes on Betty White and Paul Rudd for the staring roles made famous by Burns and John Denver. The two haven’t been contacted yet, but no matter: Now that this is in the ether, how long before it actually happens? And worse: Doesn’t it feel totally uninspired? If the current Hollywood mandate states that Betty White must appear in everything , here are five movies better suited for her than a remake of Oh God .

Adam Scott Joins the Already Impressive My Idiot Brother

So, how about My Idiot Brother ? Not only does it star Paul Rudd as the titular idiot, but also Elizabeth Banks, Emily Mortimer and Zooey Deschanel as his sisters. And Rashida Jones as Deschanel’s girlfriend . High fives all around! And now you can add Adam Scott to the roster as well. The Party Down star has been cast as Rudd’s neighbor in the film, presumably the deadpan one with the air of superiority and great hair. Between this and Parks and Recreation , it looks like someone is having himself a bit of a moment. [ The Playlist ]

Dinner for Schmucks Makes a Later Reservation

The Paul Rudd/Steve Carell comedy Dinner for Schmucks has been pushed back from July 23 to July 30, where it’ll go up against Zac Efron’s Charlie St. Cloud . You may recall that the Vanessa Hudgens vehicle Beastly just moved out of that date so as not to pit the two lovebirds against each other. Why stop there? Efron should really get to work seducing Rudd in an effort to, uh, maximize his opening. (I’m sorry.) [ Deadline ]

I’ve never been much of a believer that Anchorman 2 would happen. It had its window around 2006 or so; now the economics don’t work and the global box office prospects are underwhelming. Nevertheless, where there’s a will, there’s a way to overcome a reported $30 million budget gap between Paramount and the film’s high-wattage producers and stars. Some tough, serious cuts and considerations will be required, though. Read on for a a few recommendations that spring immediately to mind; as always, your own are welcome in the comments.

Reese Witherspoon Is Up To ‘Bat’

While ex-hubby Ryan Phillippe was on daddy duty yesterday, Reese Witherspoon was across the country working on her next project tentatively titled The Bat with co-star Paul Rudd . Looks like it was a pretty chilly night as Reese covered her strapless dress with a long coat and Ugg boots in between takes.
