Lawsuits: Houston Hip-Hop Mogul J.Prince Jr. Is Suing Drake’s Manager Cortez Bryant And Cash Money Records For A Cut Of That Young Moola!

For a label named Cash Money, they sure don’t like to pay muhfuggas… J.Prince Jr. Is Suing Cortez Bryant And Cash Money Records For Money Owed As Drake’s Management Houston’s J Prince Jr., son of Rap-A-Lot founder and CEO J Prince, is suing Drake’s management team for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty, in what totals 10 claims against Cortez Bryant and his business associates. According to documents filed today in New York State Supreme Court, J Prince, Jr. stated that he deserves a cut of the profits earned for introducing Drake to Lil’ Wayne and Cortez Bryant’s management team, Aspire. In the lawsuit, J Prince Jr. alleges that Bryant and Drake verbally agreed to pay J Prince Jr. a portion of the profits earned. Prince claims that Bryant verbally agreed to, “use their experience, influence, and relationships to persuade Drake into entering an exclusive recording agreement and an exclusive management agreement with the two of them and Bryant, and was to use his influence to compel Lil’ Wayne to sign and promote Drake to and through Lil’ Wayne’s record company YME, once Drake signed the agreements.” In addition, given J Prince, Sr’s relationship with Cash Money Records, the distributor of Young Money would “consult with them and take the lead on their business dealings with YME and CMR.” The lawsuit also claims that on December 10, 2008, Bryant signed Drake to an exclusive management agreement with his company and defendant Roberson’s companies, Laurent and Three Kings, and that Bryant signed Drake to an exclusive recording agreement with his company, Aspire. J Prince Jr. also claims that in or around April 2009, Bryant made J Prince aware of the signing and pledged to honor the original agreement. Hopefully J.Prince gets his bread. Pay Yo Bills: Dennis “Deadbeat” Rodman Gets Slapped With Probation After Not Paying Over $850K In Child Support

Time for The Worm to pay up! Via TMZ reports : Dennis Rodman’s just learned a hard lesson about not paying child support — if you don’t a judge will come down on you like a hammer. An Orange County judge just held Rodman in contempt for raking up a whopping $808,935 in unpaid child support for his 9- and 10-year-old children — and an additional $51,441 in unpaid spousal support. Rodman was placed on 3 years probation and ordered to perform 104 hours of community service. While on probation, Rodman is required to stay current with child support and cover alimony. It’s unclear how he’s gonna dig himself out of the hole. Dennis previously responded to his ex-wife’s demands, saying he couldn’t pay because he’s broke. According to Dennis, Michelle’s six-figure child support bill is based on a $50,000-a-month child support order she obtained behind his back. Rodman’s been fighting it since 2010. Clearly, the judge wasn’t buying what Dennis was selling. Poor kids! Dennis The Deadbeat has probably already hidden his baller money and declared bankruptcy, so he’s probably pretty well set to screw any of his wives, hoes he’s impregnated, and various children he’s ignored so far. They should have found him in contempt years ago. If you lay up, you should pay up!

GEEEEEEET TFOHWTBS! In his first extensive interview since being fired, Paterno shared his side of the 2002 episode. He became a flashpoint for criticism in November because he did not contact the police about the suspected assault, which was reported to him by a graduate assistant. Paterno instead relayed the allegations to the athletic director and another top university official. “I didn’t know exactly how to handle it, and I was afraid to do something that might jeopardize what the university procedure was,” Paterno told The Washington Post. “So I backed away and turned it over to some other people, people I thought would have a little more expertise than I did. It didn’t work out that way.” The athletic director, Tim Curley, and the university official, Gary Schultz, have been charged with failure to report the 2002 episode to police. They also are charged with lying to a grand jury about their knowledge of the matter. Paterno said that he had “no inkling” that Sandusky, who has been charged with more than 50 counts of sexual abuse against boys, might have been engaged in deviant behavior. Paula Patton has a mission that’s apparently impossible: paying taxes… What’s owed: The IRS filed a $492,583 tax lien against Paula Patton and Robin Thicke on Dec. 28 with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds. The address on the tax lien is a Post Office box in Santa Monica, Calif. Here’s their home in Los Angeles. Buuuuuut it doesn’t seem that they were avoiding the tax man. Their rep said this weekend: “They were just made aware of the issue and it is being taken care of immediately.” Paula has been in tons of movies and Robin just released a new album, we’re just the stacks are there to pay these bills. Tawanna just filed new docs in their bitter divorce battle — claiming ever since she filed for divorce in June, Allen stopped depositing money in their joint bank account … and then made several large cash withdrawals, including one for $20,000 … which he spent on diamond jewelry. This shady mu’fuggah here! As much as Dame Dash used to show off his son Boog when the checks were coming in, his baby mama now says he is doing any and everything to avoid helping her take care of their son. Linda Williams – who has a 19-year-old son (also named Damon Dash) – is battling her famous ex to pay court ordered payments of $425 per week to help support their son. Williams claims that Dash Sr. – who once had an estimated fortune of $50 million – has also interfered with their son from going to college because this would mean he will have to continue to pay child support. Williams told RadarOnline.com: “I just want Damon Dash to do the right thing by his son and pay his support and help me get him in college. “My son got into Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY, on a $30,000 scholarship recently to do music, but his father did not want him to go even though it would not have cost him anything. “He keeps telling him ‘tell your mom to drop the child support case and get out of court’ when my son just wants to be a normal teenager and go to college. “His father recently set him up with some DJ gigs in New York, and I’m worried that he falls in with a bad crowd and gets involved with drugs and alcohol. Now, in Dame’s defense: Boog is 19. At this point, if he wants to help his son out directly and avoid the baby mama as a middle man, he should be able to, right? Especially since we all know that man’s money is funny these days. And New York doesn’t play about those child support cases. On April 6, 2010, Magistrate Cheryl Weir Reeves threatened to jail and seize Dash Sr.’s driving and business licenses, if he did not comply with previous rulings. The back-dated payments of $425 per week to Williams were due to began on May 27, 2010. Their original child support agreement in November 8, 1999, called upon Dash to pay her $3,766.67 per month in child support payments. In addition, he was ordered to pay for his son’s summer camp, tutoring fees, private school tuition, karate lessons, guitar lessons plus the quarterly sum of $1,000 as vacation expenses also. Last year, two multi-million dollar lofts he owned in Manhattan, New York, went into foreclosure after he failed to make the $78, 500 per month payments on them. According to the State of New Jersey’s Division of Taxation, Dash is currently the second biggest debtor to the state, owing $23,073,227.56 in back taxes to New York and New Jersey. But Linda Williams doesn’t believe claims that Dash Sr. is totally broke. She said: “At our last court appearance he admitted that he was paying between $10,000 and $12,000 per month for his home in Up-State New York, plus he has an art gallery and recording studio in Manhattan, so, he’s hardly broke.” Do you think Linda’s really in this for her son’s sake?? Or is she just trying to make sure she her cut while Dame’s checks are still coming in??

Eff You, Pay Me! French Production Company Fined $46 Milli For Shafting Spike Lee

The French production company that failed to distribute Spike Lee’s film “Miracle at St. Anna” has been hit with a big money fine by a Paris court. Now that’s one helluva ho sit down, wouldn’t you say? TF1 Droits Audiovisuels has been ordered to pay $46 million to producers of Miracle at St. Anna for failing to honor a contract to distribute the World War II picture internationally. The dispute centered on a 2007 agreement between TF1 and the On My Own production company. According to the terms of the contract, TF1 was scheduled to release the film in markets across the world with the exception of the United States, Canada and Italy. TF1 argued that Lee had delivered a different kind of film than the one it was promised and refused to hand over a nearly $16 million advance. Now, according to the AFP, a Paris court has found that TF1 is at fault for breaching the contract, ordering the company to pay nearly $29 million in damages, and more for moral prejudice. Spike Lee gets one million euros and James McBride, the author of the novel the film was based on, gets 200,000 euros. TFP also was ordered to pay to $18 million to BNP Paribas bank. Spike Lee don’t play that isht… Now they gotta pay EVEN MORE than they would have if they would have just returned the stinkin’ advance money. SMH. Source

Man, some lucky a** lawyer is about to hit the JACKPOT with this one! Maria Shriver wants to terminate her marriage with cheating hubby Arnold Schwarzenegger. Shriver filed for divorce today setting the stage for what could be one of the costliest celebrity break-ups in history. Shriver cites “irreconcilable differences” as her reason for ending the 25-year marriage, TMZ.com reported. The petition was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by prominent attorney Laura Wasser, whom Shriver hired in May when Schwarzenegger went public with the news he had fathered a child with a former household staff member. Sources told TMZ the couple does not have a prenuptial agreement, so assets would be divided evenly since California is a community property state. The power couple’s net worth has been assessed at between $200 million and $400 million. This thing is about to be a “make it rain” dance of epic proportions. Shriver, 55, is seeking joint custody of the couple’s two children who are minors, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13. She and Schwarzenegger, 63, also have two older daughters, Katherine, 21, and Christina, 19. Shriver has asked for spousal support from the former California governor and requested he pay her attorneys’ fees. How do you f*ck up all that money?!? The Los Angeles Dodgers filed for bankruptcy protection in a Delaware court Monday, blaming the refusal of Major League Baseball to approve a multibillion-dollar TV deal that owner Frank McCourt was counting on to keep the troubled team afloat. The Chapter 11 financing permits the Dodgers to use $150 million for daily operations and buys time for the team to seek a media deal, the team said in a news release. “There will be no disruption to the Dodgers day-to-day business, the baseball team, or to the Dodger fans,” the statement said. Bankruptcy protection will provide the Dodgers with a process to address its immediate financing requirements and obtain the capital necessary to ensure the baseball franchise’s long-term financial stability, the team said. McCourt said the Dodgers have tried for almost a year to get Selig to approve the Fox transaction. The deal would have provided him with $385 million up front and was vital to a binding settlement reached between him and his ex-wife and former Dodger CEO Jamie McCourt last week. McCourt now faces the potential of missing a June 30 team payroll without the TV funds and that could lead to a MLB takeover. The McCourts have been embroiled in a contentious divorce where their lavish spending habits were detailed in court documents.
