Miguel Ferrer: Mourned, Remembed by Stars Everywhere

On Thursday,  Miguel Ferrer died after a lengthy battle against cancer. He was 61 years old. Best known for roles on NCIS: Los Angeles, RoboCop, and Twin Peaks, Ferrer was also the son of singer Rosemary Clooney and actor Jose Ferrer. As we send our condolences to the actor's family and loved ones, we've collected the reactions of celebrities and those who knew Ferrer well below… 1. Mariah’s World Season 1 Episode 2 Recap: Did Mariah Get Too Close To Bryan Tanaka?

Mariah Carey has it all.  She has fame, children and a lifestyle that we can only dream of. At least that’s what she wanted viewers to think on Mariah’s World Season 1 Episode 2 .  The singing sensation also proved that she has a heart of gold. How so? Well, Mariah allowed her backup singer, Mary Ann Tatum to bring her 6-year-old son on tour.  “We’re all single moms, and it’s great. The kids make it so much more fun.” With all of the reports of the diva behavior, this series is definitely showing Mariah in a different light.  We also got to see some of the finer interactions between Mariah and Bryan Tanaka. Yeah, he’s the dude she’s currently seeing. In the scene, he visited Mariah backstage and it was pretty clear she was trying to get him drunk when she offered him a beer.  Did she have feelings for him all this time, or are these scenes set up by producers? We’ll probably never know, but they’re great.  Another key plot focused on Mariah’s “Good Side.” We’ve all heard about it before. It’s the side she will only ever allow herself to be photographed on.  Speaking to her makeup artist, Mariah revealed that she found out about it when she was just 19-years-old on a photo shoot, but she did not reveal who told her about it.  After being three hours late to the Glasgow opening night, Mariah became embroiled in a bitter feud between Anthony and Mary Ann. Mary Ann took aim at Anthony because he refused to get on the bus with her and the other backup singers.  Mariah tried to be the keeper of the peace because she didn’t like friction on her tour. However, Anthony felt the need to answer Mariah back and she laid down the law in spectacular fashion.  “Don’t be saucy on camy,” she barked.  I’m going to assume that meant camera. LOL.  Anthony had some words of his own for the camera, but he didn’t seem to address the fact that he was being an ass about the whole situation.  “For some reason, Mariah and I are off tonight.… I felt like I didn’t connect with her, like I always connect with her.” Yeah, okay then.  After Anthony finally got his own way and got his own bus, he tried to hug Mary Ann, but she was not ready to make friends with him yet.  “Get off me — I will hit you,” she scowled.  Who would have thought Mariah’s World would have arguments like that? We’re genuinely intrigued and can’t wait to see how all of this plays out for the cast members.  Funnily enough, Mariah is not the one causing all the drama. What did you think of the latest drama? Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna: Baby Girl Name Revealed! Hilarious!

The name Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna intend to give their baby girl has reportedly been revealed, and it will make you bust a gut. What’s in a name? In this case, a lot … UPDATE : There are rumors circulating that Rob and Chyna broke up  awhile back and haven’t spoken other than at their show premiere. That has not been confirmed or denied. Stay tuned . In any case, the (allegedly) engaged reality stars broke the news that they are  expecting a baby girl  on this fall’s premiere of Rob & Chyna (where else). Now, though, Radar has a much better detail. As if it wasn’t weird enough that Rob put a baby inside his sister’s one-time best friend, and his other sister’s arch nemesis, get this: They’ve supposedly decided to name her … … KYM!!! Oh yes, and Kim Kardashian is livid with her brother and (alleged) future sister-in-law over the proposed moniker for their future daughter. According to Radar, the couple informed her they “plan to name their baby after her” (hilarious) and “Kim was completely taken aback.” “[Kardashian] didn’t know what to say,” a family insider said, and that was before they told her how the baby’s name would be spelled. “They gave Kim an ever bigger shock when they informed her they’d spell their daughter’s name with a ‘Y,’” the source says. Hey … at least it’s sort of original? The 35-year-old reality star is “beyond furious” about this development and is figuring out the right way to tell him and Chyna it’s a no go. No dice, at least so far. “She’s recruited their mom,” manager Kris Jenner, “to help, but unfortunately she and the rest of the family think the name is a great idea.” Some members of the family think this is funny, in fact; Kim is not one of them, though. In fact, the insider says she’s lawyering up. Yes, seriously … Says this informative so-called family insider: “Kim may have to get legal papers drawn up if they go ahead because in her mind it could affect her brand to have two Kim Kardashians in the world.” Yes. State Trooper Offers Grieving Man Unexpected, Inspiring Assistance

We’re living in a scary moment in history. The relationship between police officers and the citizens they are meant to protect has never been worse. But perhaps the following story will serve as some kind of turning point. Or, at minimum, put a smile on your face. Around 3 a.m. on Sunday, Mark Ross discovered that his 15-year old younger sister, Eliza Fletcher, had been killed in a car crash. In a desperate panic, he enlisted the help of a friend to make the immediate drive from Ohio to Detroit in order to be with his grieving mother. According to Inside Edition, however, an officer pulled their car over for speeding at approximately 100 miles per hour. When the officer saw that the driver of the vehicle had his license was suspended and that Ross had an outstanding warrant, he subsequently towed their car. Ross was left stranded. Moreover, there was a good chance he was going to prison for the warrant. But then Ohio State Highway Patrol Sergeant David Robison showed up on the scene… and things started looking up. In a lengthy post on Facebook, Ross said he explained how Robison responded once he learned exactly what was going on. Here is what Ross wrote, as pictured above: At 3am I got a phone call stating that my sister had been killed in a car accident due to some young dumb punk! I haven’t slept and instantly got on the road. Of course we were speeding, trying to get back to Detroit. And we got pulled over in Ohio. I knew I was going to Jail due to a petty warrant. The police called Wayne county and they refused to come get me because of the distance. I explained to the officer that my sister had died and that I needed to get to my mother asap. I broke down crying and he saw the sincerity in my cry. He REACHES OVER AND BEGAN PRAYING OVER ME AND MY FAMILY. He offered to bring me 100 miles further to Detroit because they towed the vehicle. Everybody knows how much I dislike Cops but I am truly Greatful for this Guy. He gave me hope. This story is giving us all hope. The Facebook post above has been shared over 103,000 times at last check. Inside Edition even says the officer who drove Ross all the way to Michigan will be attending his sister’s funeral. Pretty amazing, huh? Especially in light of all that’s been happening around the country over the past few months. Here is a photo of Ross’ late sister. May she rest in peace. Jose Fernandez: Tragic Details of Star Pitcher’s Final Hours Emerge

Early on the morning of September 25,  Miami Marlins pitching phenom Jose Fernandez was killed in a boating accident . The two-time MLB All-Star and former National League rookie of the year was just 24 years old. In their first game back following Fernandez’s tragic passing, the Marlins paid loving tribute to Fernandez, with the entire team wearing his jersey. Fernandez’s friend and teammate Dee Gordon led off the game with a home run – his first in 358 days – and welled up with tears as he rounded the bases. Two friends of Fernandez’s, Eddy Rivero and Emilio Macias, were also killed when Fernandez’s 32-foot fishing boat crashed into a jetty off the coast of Miami Beach. Now, details about what brought all three men our on that fateful late-night excursion are beginning to emerge thanks to information provided by family and friends. According to several of his teammates was eager to head out on the water due to a fight with his pregnant girlfriend. Aware of his fragile emotional state, friends say they cautioned him to be careful. “That night I told him, ‘Don’t go out,’” outfielder Marcell Ozuna told the Miami Herald . “Everybody knew he was crazy about that boat and loved being out on the water. I told him I couldn’t go out that night because I had the kids and my wife waiting for me.” Fernandez assured Ozuna that all would be well and asked his friend to help make sure he made it to the ballpark on time the following morning: “He told me if I didn’t hear from him by 10 a.m. (Sunday) to call him and wake him up so he could get back to the ballpark on time for the game,” Ozuna said “I told him, ‘Yeah no problem. I’ll call you.’ I woke up Sunday and that’s when I found out. I cried and cried.” Will Bernal, a close friend of Rivero’s posted the above photo, along with his and Rivero’s final text message exchange, on his Instagram page. As you can see, Bernal also had concerns about the planned boating trip. He captioned the photo: “Our last phone conversation and text messages last night. I feel sick to my stomach. “Everyone is talking about Jose Fernandez but you died trying to be there for him and be a good friend. This doesn’t sit with me well. “I can’t get over this nightmare. I already miss you and our daily conversations. You died being a great friend. “I feel guilty that I didn’t do a better job of trying to convince you not get on that boat. You told me just so I know in case something happens. You had a gut feeling and that is killing me. Adam Lind Child Support Payments Revealed: That’s IT?!

Adam Lind doesn’t have the greatest reputation, but like so many of his co-stars, he blames Teen Mom 2 editors for making him look bad. Maybe that really is the case, but Lind’s behavior off-camera doesn’t do much to help with the way he’s perceived by the public. There are the many times Lind has been caught lying. There are the explicit photos of Lind that have been “accidentally” posted to social media. And of course there’s the time that Lind stole someone’s wallet at a strip club. Yes, even by the standards of Teen Mom baby daddies, Lind’s behavior is the sort that makes one stop and say, “WTF was this guy thinking?” out loud. His wallet snatching behavior is particularly puzzling as the “stars” of Teen Mom 2 are so well-compensated that MTV keeps their exact salaries under wraps, for fear that the show’s fan base would tune out if they knew they were actually watching a bunch of you millionaires whine about their problems. The men aren’t paid as well as the moms, but with social media endorsement deals and appearance fees, even the exes who don’t appear in every episode pull in six figures. Which explains why Lind lied when he said he was quitting Teen Mom 2 . But it doesn’t explain why he gets away with such paltry child support payments. According to Radar Online Lind pays only $945 per month to his ex Chelsea Houska for expenses accrued raising their 7-year-old daughter, Aubree. Lind pays $1,203/month to his other baby mama, Taylor Halbur, who is mother of his 3-year-old daughter Paislee. Don’t get us wrong, $2,148 is far from chump change. There are folks out there getting paid minimum wage who don’t even make that much in a month. But when you consider the context – and the fact that Lind frequently misses payments and gripes about having to pay child support on social media – it’s just one more thing that makes you want to smack the guy. Not only is Lind earning several times the income of most guys his age in his situation, he’s doing so without holding a full-time job, and entirely because of Chelsea. “She feels $945 a month is necessary,” Lind once wrote of Houska on Instagram. “Guess her lil pig, 6 dogs, new jeep and house just isn’t enough and needs some extra $$.” Of Halbur he wrote: “Taylor alsooooo filed for more support. Alexis Arquette: Sad Details of Lifelong Gender Struggle Revealed

Just past midnight on Sunday morning, model, actress, and LGBT activist Alexis Arquette passed away  at the age of 47 In the days since her untimely passing, several rumors have emerged about Alexis’ final days. Some – such as the report that Alexis was living with AIDS and well aware that her death was approaching – appear to be legitimate. Others – such as the claim that Alexis was planning to “out” several gay celebrities before she died – may never be confirmed. The latest information about Alexis also comes courtesy of a report from Radar Online and has to do with Arquette’s gender identity. Born Robert Arquette, Alexis asked friends and family to call her chosen female name when she was still just a boy. For years, she identified and presented as a woman, but toward the end of her life, she reportedly encouraged those in her inner circle to once again think of her as a man. A press release from Alexis’ brother Richmond seemed to verify this transition: “Our brother Robert, who became our brother Alexis, who became our sister Alexis, who became our brother Alexis, passed this morning,” Richmond wrote, following Alexis’ death. “He was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters, one of his nieces and several other loved ones. However, friends of Arquette’s say Alexis’ decision to keep her name but no longer identify as a woman had nothing to do with a shift in identity and everything to do with setbacks presented by her health. “Alexis’ only real goals in life was to eventually get the sex change that would make her final step in becoming a woman complete,” a source close to Arquette tells Radar. “But because of her AIDS, it was impossible for her to do so.” As for the press release in which Alexis’ brother referred to her using male pronouns, the insider says it’s representative of the fact that Arquette simply gave up in her final days. “This is not what Alexis wanted with her life,” says the source. “She wanted to become a real woman through and through.
