My name is Emily and I’m from Pennsylvania….

My name is Emily and I’m from Pennsylvania. On November 4th 2012, my dream came true of meeting Justin Bieber. Honestly everyone who posts a story on here says it, but I never thought I would be able to meet my idol. I always read the stories on MBE hoping one day it would be my turn. It all started with coming home from school one day to find out my mom had gotten tickets to Justin’s concert and I was so excited because it would be the first time I would get to see Justin live. I knew I only had tickets for almost until I walked into my bedroom to find a paper with everything included in the M&G package on my bed. I was confused but I ran right up to my mom who was holding another paper in her hand, she smiled and handed me the paper. Yeah, tears instantly flew down my cheeks as I was reading the paper because it was true. My mom had M&G’s for me. Believe me, that whole day I couldn’t stop crying and I thanked her so many times and she just replied, “It’s your dream and it’s finally happening.” She was definitely right, it’s been my dream ever since I’ve been his fan which was when his first CD was released. On the day of the concert, it was time to leave for the arena. I got there and met so many Beliebers I talked to over Twitter and so many others, which was great. I saw Nick DeMoura, Justin’s grandparents, Alfredo, Dan, Scrappy, Kenny and DJ Tay James all arrive. Then it was time to go pick up the M&G’s and get in line. Finally, I ended up in line and that’s when I first saw Kenny and I screamed, “Kenny” and he just smiled and waved. Then I saw Dan, and he came over near me and I talked to him for a little, he was so sweet.  The line finally started moving to go downstairs to where we were to meet Justin. All I can say is I was shaking so much and my eyes started to tear as I waited. All of sudden I see Alfredo come out and walk down towards me, so of course I screamed “FREDO” and he came right up to me. I wrote him a note so I gave him that and he smiled put it to his heart and said “Thank you.” I nearly died. He gave me a hug and the line started to move again so I said bye and thank you to him. There was two girls in front of my who were next, then it was my turn. I was just shaking so much. All I hear is Kenny say, “You’re next” so I walk up. Kenny put his hand on my back to tell me to go in and I walked through the curtain and right in front of my eyes was my idol. I don’t know how tears didn’t just endlessly come out but somehow I held it back. There was a guy talking to Justin so I just stood there for a few seconds then Justin made eye contact with me and smiled. I started walking to him and I remember letting out a faint “Hi” and he replied “Hi sweetheart.” As soon as I heard his voice say sweetheart I was just gone. We took the picture and I turned to him and asked for a hug and he replied “Of course.” This is where my tears started to come out, I let go off him and said “Bye, thank you so much for everything I love you.” He replied, “No, thank you.” I walked out and I just let loose of all my tears. “I just met and hugged my idol” I thought to myself, this was something I never knew would happen, it just felt like a dream it really did. So next, my mom opened up an envelope with our two tickets inside for the front row. We had two extra tickets, you bet I went to go find someone without them. I found a girl I met earlier who had none and gave them to her with another girl I had met from Twitter. All I can say is as soon as I gave her those tickets she literally just started crying endlessly and it was the best feeling in the world. Scooter’s absolutely right when he says it feels amazing when you give back and see someone else smile over a ticket. Now, I’m finally in my seat and I go on Twitter to find out Alfredo tweeted me . I screamed in my seat and read what he said to find out he read my letter. Wow, I was just thinking to myself “Did all of this really happen?” It’s unreal to think my dream finally came true. The whole day was absolutely amazing and beyond the best day/night of my life. I never ever thought it would happen, but it did and I’m grateful for it. Truthfully, don’t ever give up and just believe in yourself and one day too you’ll have a My Bieber Experience. -Emily (@stratf0rdbieber) Go here to see the original: My name is Emily and I’m from Pennsylvania….

Hamburger Heaven: Late Whopper Lover Has Fast Food Funeral, Gets Buried With Final Favorites From Burger King!

Turns out you can have it your way, even after you’re dead. Funeral For Pennsylvania WWII Veteran Includes Procession Stop At Burger King A York Pennsylvania war vet loved his Burger King so much his daughter had his funeral procession make one final stop at the before burying him. Via NY Daily News reports : David Kime Jr. “lived by his own rules,” daughter Linda Phiel said. He considered the lettuce on a burger his version of healthy eating, she said. To give him a whopper of a send-off Saturday, the funeral procession stopped at a Burger King where each mourner got a sandwich for the road. Kime got one last burger too, the York Daily Record reported. It was placed atop his flag-draped coffin at the cemetery. Phiel said the display wasn’t a joke, rather a happy way of honoring her father and the things that brought him joy. “He lived a wonderful life and on his own terms,” she said. Kime, 88, a World War II veteran, died Jan. 20. Restaurant manager Margaret Hess said she knew his face and his order. She and her crew made 40 burgers for the funeral procession. “It’s nice to know he was a loyal customer up until the end — the very end,” she said. No disrespect to the dead, but which do you think will decompose faster — him or the burger? R.I.P. APImages

Papa Is A Rolling Stone: Mick Jagger Still Has Baby Mama Drama With Mother Of His Swirly Love Child

Remember them love letters we told you Mick Jagger’s former black boo thang sold for a fortune last month? Apparently the rocker is all in a rage at Marsha Hunt over having his private thoughts become so public. But it’s not the first time he’s gotten heated with Hunt, the former couple were at odds for a number of years over his unwillingness to acknowledge or support his daughter Karis. The Daily Mail did a thorough break down of the drama: But it was this auction that reopened old wounds with Mick, who is said to be furious that his private thoughts have been sold to the highest bidder. American Miss Hunt, who now lives in a dilapidated house in rural France that urgently requires repairs, candidly admits she sold the letters to a mystery collector because she needs the money. ‘I’m broke,’ she says. ‘Anyone who has the impression that I have money knows nothing about me. I had friends who came to visit from Pennsylvania and there was no electricity in the house because the bill had been too high. ‘One of my friends said: “Surely you’ve got something you could sell?” ’ Back in the late Sixties, Mick announced his affair with Miss Hunt in typically public — if heartless — fashion. Two days after the band’s ex-guitarist Brian Jones was found dead in the swimming pool of his Sussex home, the Rolling Stones played a tribute concert to him in front of 250,000 people in London’s Hyde Park. This being Mick, the solemnity of the occasion on July 5, 1969, would not be allowed to interfere with his raging libido. For sitting in the crowd, just yards from his live-in girlfriend of three years, Marianne Faithfull, was singer Marsha, the latest celebrity notch on the Jagger bedpost. And, as if inviting both rivals for his affection was not brazen enough, Mick tactlessly, and tastelessly, opened the musical part of the show by belting out a cover version of the rock song I’m Yours And I’m Hers. Its not-so-hidden-meaning spoke volumes about Jagger’s monumental ego and his callously flippant approach to his female conquests. Certainly, it was a cruel public humiliation for the 22-year-old Marianne, given that she — along with half of London — was already well aware that her singer boyfriend was cheating on her with Hunt. But Faithfull wasn’t giving up so easily, she flew to Australia to be by his side and after he rejected her she tried killing herself by taking barbiturates. She was in a coma for several days, during which Mick stayed busy writing letters to Marsha Hunt. Some of the letters, which were included in the auction last month, were even written on headed hotel notepaper in the room at the city’s Chevron hotel, where Miss Faithfull had tried to kill herself days earlier. Jagger had first spotted Miss Hunt when she appeared as the female lead in the controversial musical Hair. Mick, who had developed a taste for beautiful black girls, got his PA to contact Marsha to ask her to appear on the cover of the Stones’ new single, Honky Tonk Women, dressed as a tart. She refused, but a few nights later, Mick turned up at her flat in London’s Bloomsbury. Within days their clandestine affair was in full swing. Born into a poor family in Philadelphia, Marsha had studied at the prestigious Berkeley University in California, before coming to Britain in 1966 at the age of 20. Her stunning looks quickly attracted a string of famous suitors, including Marc Bolan and her co-star in Hair, Paul Nicholas. Jagger, in a testament to those politically incorrect times, nicknamed his new lover Miss Fuzzy. And, while in Australia the following year, it was for her that he wrote Brown Sugar — his provocative eulogy to interracial sex and drugs that he had crudely originally titled Black P***y. Within months, his faltering relationship with Marianne Faithfull was over and Mick moved Marsha into his house overlooking the Thames on Chelsea embankment. Already missing Marianne’s son, Nicholas, to whom he had become a surrogate father, he took Marsha out to Mr Chow restaurant in Knightsbridge, where he asked her to have his child. She quickly became pregnant and a misty-eyed Jagger talked about wanting a son, whom he had decided, in typical flower-power fashion, to call Midnight Dream. The social-climbing Jumpin’ Jack Flash also decided he would send the boy to Eton. But within three months, Jagger was already going cold on the relationship — and was casting his roving eye over the latest of a carousel of girls he had marked down to share his bed. Stung by Mick’s coolness towards her, Marsha moved out. He wasted no time in installing another beautiful American — 22-year-old Californian model Catherine James into his Chelsea home. Despite Marsha carrying his child, practically all references to her and the baby were quickly airbrushed out of his life. Catherine James told me: ‘When I moved into Mick’s house, I knew about Marsha, but his relationship with her was already over. It didn’t seem a big deal to him. He just mentioned that she was a girl he had met who had got pregnant. He said he wasn’t in love with her, but she was very talented. ‘I felt he was not encumbered by anything, not by Marsha or the baby. He was young, and I didn’t get the impression he was thinking seriously about becoming a father and being part of this child’s life.’ Hit the flip for more details.

Kailyn Lowry, Javi Marroquin Wedding Photo: Revealed!

Months after Teen Mom 2’s Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin quietly tied the knot without anyone knowing, a photo from the reality star’s wedding has surfaced at last. Here she is in the new issue of In Touch: The 20-year-old mother of three-year-old Isaac and her new hubby are seen standing next to an SUV with the words ” Just Married !” on its back window. Kailyn Lowry, in a white minidress, and Javi Marroquin announced their engagement via Twitter Sept. 15, saying, “Thank you all for being so supportive.” “No concrete wedding plans yet, but hopefully in the near future.” Apparently the near future was very near, indeed. The couple went on to quickly wed in a small ceremony at a Pennsylvania courthouse that same month. What was the reason for fast-tracking it? “They wanted to get married before Javi left for the Air Force,” Lowry’s friend Toni Ziegler told the mag, noting that Lowry is planning a big wedding for the fall. Emphasis on big. “Javi has a huge family. He has seven groomsmen picked out!” Congrats you kids.

Hate It Or Love It?!?! Pennsylvania Governor Suing NCAA Over Penn State Sanctions

For the love of football , and saving face, PA Governor Tom Corbett has vowed to fight the NCAA’s sanctions against Penn State . According to CNN , he’s blasting the FBI report that was made earlier this year too: Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett announced plans Wednesday to file an anti-trust lawsuit against the NCAA over its sanctions against Penn State University following the Jerry Sandusky child abuse scandal. Last July, the NCAA levied unprecedented sanctions against the university, including a fine of $60 million. It also stripped 14 seasons of football victories from late head coach Joe Paterno. “These sanctions did not punish Sandusky,” or those who allegedly helped cover up his repeated abuse of disadvantaged children, said Corbett at a news conference in State College. He said they instead affect past and current students who were not part of the scandal. “I cannot and will not let it happen without a fight,” said Corbett, adding that the Sandusky case was a criminal matter and not a violation of NCAA rules. Corbett also called a university-funded review of the scandal led by former FBI Director Louis Freeh an incomplete report. Freeh’s 267-page review was released in July and blamed former university president Graham Spanier, Paterno, suspended Athletic Director Tim Curley, and ex-Vice President Gary Schultz for allegedly taking part in a cover-up to avoid bad publicity. The scandal led to Spanier’s ouster and shocked the nation after Freeh’s team concluded that the school’s top administrators had “empowered” Sandusky, the former defensive coordinator for the football team, to continue his abuse. The NCAA said in a statement Wednesday it was disappointed by the governor’s action. “Not only does this forthcoming lawsuit appear to be without merit, it is an affront to all of the victims in this tragedy — lives that were destroyed by the criminal actions of Jerry Sandusky,” said Donald M. Remy, NCAA executive vice president and general counsel. “While the innocence that was stolen can never be restored, Penn State has accepted the consequences for its role and the role of its employees and is moving forward. Today’s announcement by the governor is a setback to the university’s efforts.” Penn State also issued a statement Wednesday saying it remained “committed to full compliance with the Consent Decree, the Athletics Integrity Agreement and, as appropriate, the implementation of the Freeh report recommendations.” The fine is expected to be paid over five years and will fund an endowment with a mission of fighting child abuse and supporting victims. Pennsylvania’s U.S. House delegation objects to the NCAA’s plans to spend only 25% of those funds within the state. The delegation wants the association to spend all of the $60 million in Pennsylvania, according to a November letter to the NCAA. “While we fully support the stated purpose of the endowment, we believe its funds should be used solely for programs and organizations within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where a need exists for the creation of prevention programs for abused children,” the letter stated. Sandusky, 68, was convicted last June on 45 counts of child abuse, ranging from corruption of minors to involuntary deviate intercourse, which were laid out in graphic testimony by his accusers over the course of the less-than-two-week trial. In October, he was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison, meaning he’ll likely die behind bars. SMH. The NCAA’s sanctions were most definitely harsh, but then again, so was the corruption that took place for years. Do you think the Governor should take a seat and not dig this sh*t up again?? ‘Django’ Mashup Track Confirms James Brown Is Of The Ages, Tupac Is Of The ’90s

Django Unchained had its New York City premiere last night, and like me you probably weren’t there. Sorry on all our behalves, everyone! Luckily we can console ourselves with the ongoing reveals of tracks from Django ‘s soundtrack. The latest is Unchained (The Payback/Untouchable) , a mashup of James Brown’s The Payback and Tupac’s Untouchable . Ready for a listen? You guys, I really want to love this. But despite the fact that James Brown and Tupac are both insanely dope, the track sounds like exactly half of awesome. Blame for that goes to Swizz Beats, who produced Untouchable for the 2006 album Pac’s Life , AKA the moment when the dead horse that is Tupac’s posthumous career was finally flogged into its component atoms. Tupac was a genius, but that doesn’t mean he’s a cipher that can be fitted into whatever era wants him. His flow was built on bomb-squad influenced beats and g-funk. Warping his rap style around the bob-free beats that popped up in the aughts is like releasing a disco remix of Paul Whiteman’s version of You’re The Tops . Frankly, Untouchable is in strong contention for the absolute worst of Tupac songs. Particularly hilarious is the fact that Swizz looped Pac to make him fit the track, so we get Tupac shouting “Y’all know me Y’a-Y’all know me” like a Shep Pettibone remix from 1988. Meanwhile, James Brown’s music was tailor made for a remix like the one used to make Unchained (The Payback/Untouchable) , and the combination only makes the molestation of Pac sound even worse. I wish they’d just requested access to Pac’s original vocals instead mashing up a superior song with an inferior song. Luckily, the beats and the remix of “The Payback” are great, and once you get used to how Tupac is criminally misused, you can enjoy the other more solid moments unfettered. No doubt it’s going to sound even better when it plays over scenes of blood-spattered cotton fields, so I’m in. RATING: The original Tupac track: 10 out of 100 black coffins for making one of the greatest MCs in the game sound wack. This mashup: 80 out of 100 black coffins for proving once again that James Brown’s music can always be used to make everything sound cool, despite the wackness. Gus Van Sant On ‘Promised Land’ & His Desire ‘To Always Work’ With Matt Damon

Promised Land is not the first nor even second collaboration between filmmaker Gus Van Sant and actor Matt Damon . Van Sant helped usher in the age of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck with their Oscar-winner Good Will Hunting back in 1997 and Damon and Ben’s younger brother, Casey Affleck worked with Van Sant in Gerry . Fast forward nearly a decade and a script Damon had been collaborating on with John Krasinski from a story by Dave Eggers set in a small town needed a director. Damon, who had originally planned to direct the feature, realized he could not because of his packed schedule, so he reached out to his old friend Gus Van Sant and the result, which will head to theaters later this month, has caught the wind of Oscar chatterers. Van Sant discussed his latest pic and why he “always wants to work with Matt” during a NYC screening of Promised Land . “The genealogy of this is that John Krasinski was observing a mining operation in Alaska and spoke to Eggers later about writing a screenplay about installing wind power,” Van Sant said at the post- Promised Land screening. “Matt Damon was going to direct [ Promised Land ] himself but then decided he didn’t have time. They thought the project might go away, but then he contacted me – and a year ago, I said yes…” Van Sant said Damon packed schedule had once kept him from playing in one of the director’s most celebrated recent films. He had originally been slated to play Dan White in the 2008 Oscar-winner Milk , but again the actor’s long queue of roles interfered. But, Promised Land posed the next opportunity and the planets aligned. “When you work together you become friends and you wonder what else you can do together again and Matt and I became friends,” said Van Sant. “I felt like we’ve had successful collaborations so the idea of doing something again was really interesting… Working with Matt on this film – I always wanted to work with him on every film.” Set in a fictitious Pennsylvania town that could represent much of small town America that has taken economic blows due to de-industrialization, agribusiness consolidation and the fallout from globalization generally, the story revolves around Steve Butler (Damon) a former farm boy turned big city business guy who teams up with Sue (Frances McDormand) to sell financial prosperity to the struggling town. The sales execs offer up easy cash in return for drilling rights on their property. Though economically hard pressed, the town, along with many others across Rust Belt states, sit atop a rich resource of natural gas once thought unreachable. But through the controversial advent of fracking (fracture drilling) the resource is recoverable though at what ecological cost is not fully known. Steve and Sue think their stay in the town will be short, but a respected schoolteacher (Hal Holbrook) complicates what they think will be an easy sell when he questions the environmental risk. Steve meets a local school teacher (Rosemarie DeWitt) as they bunker down to sway in the town and things get really sticky when an environmentalist (John Krasinski) shows up and raises the stakes. “When we arrived in Pittsburgh during [pre-production] the hydraulic manufacturing companies were moving in and just happened to be having a convention at the hotel we were staying at,” Van Sant said. “So right away we had some sources we could go down and talk to. Also the people in contract talks were also the people we wanted to [scout] for locations.” The tracking process at the center of Promised Land ‘s plot has been hailed by some economic prognosticators as a short cut to energy independence while even cutting carbon emissions. But it has been criticized by others for polluting underground water-tables and even causing earthquakes in areas where they’re almost nearly unknown. Documentaries such as GasLand (2010) and others have depicted frightening scenarios of ecological degradation in the race for plentiful energy, which is not lost on Van Sant though he also sees the film as describing an even larger topic about corporations. “By default its playing into discussions that are political having fracking as a topic,” he said. “But I think the emotions of the story are about corporate maneuvering and inner corporate personnel maneuvering and it could relate to any corporation’s maneuvering including mine or Focus Features. [The film] will obviously play into politics…” [ Promised Land opens December 28 via Focus Features, trailer below.] Follow Brian Brooks on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .

Survey Says! Adult Freaky Film Stars Have Higher Self-Esteem Than Other Women?!?!

GTFOHWTBS! This may be the dumbest study any group’s ever wasted money on!!! According to The New York Post : The latest edition of the a research journal has challenged the stereotype that adult film actresses have poor self-images and a history of sexual abuse. A report suggests that the stars have higher self-esteem, a better quality of life and body image, and are more spiritual than their non-adult entertainment counterparts. Researchers at Pennsylvania’s Shippensburg University, Texas Woman’s University and the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation compared 177 porn actresses to a sample of women matched on age, ethnicity, and marital status. Comparisons were based on intimate behaviors and attitudes, self-esteem, quality of life and drug use. Sun News reports that the actresses in the study had all been paid to work on at least one adult film movie and ranged in age from 18 to 50. Their average career in the industry was 3.5 years. Results showed that the adult film actresses were more likely to say they enjoyed intercourse — no surprise there — but perhaps contrary to popular notions, adult film stars weren’t any more likely to have had endured abuse than those in the control group. However, some of the results confirmed popular stereotypes. For example, the actresses reported using more drugs than the control group while they also reported having intercourse for the first time at a younger age (15) than the control group (17). “Stereotypes of those involved in adult entertainment have been used to support or condemn the industry and to justify political views on adult films, although the actual characteristics of actresses are unknown because no study on this group of women has been conducted,” the report said. The study has been dismissed by feminist commentator Dawn Foster, however, who says the results have disregarded some of the adult industry’s seedier aspects. “It is dangerous to generalize about a huge industry: women who are successful and in control of their careers in one pocket don’t speak for women in the less scrutinized parts,” Foster said in the Independent. “The study’s main objective seems to be to prove that not all women in adult films are exploited: no one has argued that. But glossing over the exploitative aspects helps no one.” Ladies, keep your day job and honor in tow. Images via WENN
