Peter Weber: I’m Misunderstood! I Never Ghosted My Ex!

Peter Weber is garnering a lot of attention at the moment for having f–ked Hannah Brown four times inside of a windmill a few months ago. Yes, FOUR TIMES , Hannah admitted on the latest episode of The Bachelorette. But Weber has also garnered a lot of attention of late for allegedly f–king over his ex-girlfriend in a very cruel manner, just so he could go on this reality show and try to make a name for himself. For those unfamiliar with this story, a quick refresher: Model Calee Lutes told Entertainment Tonight two weeks ago that she was in a serious relationship with Weber for six months, from the midpoint of late year toward the end. She claims the two had been talking about moving in together … when Weber abruptly broke things off around Christmas. “I thought there was another girl, so I looked at his recent followers on Instagram, and noticed that a Bachelorette producer had recently followed him,” she explained to ET. Lutes added at the time that she had no idea Weber had even applied to be on The Bachelorette until she saw his name and photo released in March by ABC. “He absolutely betrayed me,” Lutes continued, saying simply: “He interviewed for a reality dating show while simultaneously planning a future with me. I trusted him entirely and he pulled the rug out from under me.” Weber didn’t address this accusation while speaking to Hannah and Chris Harrison after his elimination on Monday. But he’s finally broken his silence in a talk with People Magazine . “There was a lot of truth to what she said in her story, but there is also a lot of truth that wasn’t mentioned,” Weber now says, shooting down the main charge that’s been leveled at him as follows: “The show had absolutely nothing to do with me ending that relationship.” So… why did it come to an end? Peter actually says he was the one who wanted to be serious with Lutes, y et his efforts were rebuffed. “I was very serious in trying to progress that relationship and move it forward,” he tells People, adding: “And she wasn’t on the same page as me. That being said, I wasn’t going to waste her time or my time. But the casting process and my first interview was months after we broke up.” This is clearly a case of He Said/She Said. We have no idea when the couple split and/or what their status was at the time Weber applied to be on The Bachelorette. With Hannah set to husband tonight, however, and Weber likely not wanting to sully his sort of well-known name, it’s clear Peter doesn’t want to stir up any more controversy. He wants to come across as fair and understanding, concluding to People: “It’s obvious that I hurt someone that I really did care about. That was never my intention. And for that I’m sorry. Breakups suck!”” View Slideshow: The Bachelorette Spoilers: How Will it End? Who Will Hannah Pick?!

Catelynn Lowell Mom-Shamed by Jerks for No Longer Breastfeeding Vaeda

Tyler Baltierra is determined to prove that he still loves Catelynn Lowell , and he’s not doing a bad job of it. On Sunday’s Teen Mom OG , Catelynn opened up about her desire to stop breastfeeding baby Vaeda. Mom-shamers swarmed over her on social media, but Tyler is firmly defending her choice. “It’s hard,” Catelynn confessed on Teen Mom OG . “People always post the wonderful things about breast-feeding, which is wonderful …” she acknowledged. Breastfeeding provides a baby with vital nutrients, immune support, gut flora, and can be an important bonding process for mother and child. “But,” Catelynn observed. “They don’t mention that you have your kid stuck to you for 24 hours.” Yep. A lot of conversations skip that part. Catelynn then pours over a list of gripes about the harsh realities of breastfeeding. “Or you’re afraid they’re not getting enough,” she suggested. “Or,” she added. “They want to eat 60 times a day.” That’s just a little over twice an hour. Catelynn also warned: “or about the bleeding nipples.” Catelynn also laid out the logistical problems of being your baby’s sole food source. “[With] nursing, it’s hard for me to even schedule my own therapy,” Catelynn admitted in the clip. She explained that this was true “because it’s an hour and a half there.” “I could take her with me,” Catelynn admitted. “And nurse when I’m there.” That’s not an ideal therapy appointment. Catelynn was openly worried that deciding to quit breasteeding Vaeda would be viewed as “selfish” by Teen Mom OG fans. Okay, let’s be real — by mom-shamers. Catelynn even pointed out that Vaeda had already gotten all of the “antibodies and proteins” that she needed. But still, it was good to hear Tyler support her decision. “You’re a great mom,” Tyler affirmed. “You’re going to do whatever is best for you and the baby, period.” However, mom-shamers on social media lashed out with cruel messages about Catelynn’s choice. “It’s not difficult, it’s easy,” claimed one mom-shamer. “Not bottles, just you and baby to breast. And it’s healthier, no doubt.” “I breastfed all four of my kids and never once looked for applause, recognition, or admiration,” boasted another. “Does everything these dolts do require applause? ” Another shamer accused: “with your public platform, and knowing that there are significant benefits to breast feeding, I think this is irresponsible.” People are so judgmental about the most harmless stuff sometimes. Tyler clapped back, continuing to support his wife with a post on Twitter. ” Vaeda is the happiest, healthiest little baby I have ever seen!” Tyler announced. “So, a little advice to all of you ‘Pinterest Perfect Parents’,” he continued. Tyler wrote: “If that baby didn’t develop in your uterus, you don’t have a right to say what’s best for that baby. PERIOD.” He concluded his powerfully defensive tweet with a pair of hashtags: ” #FedisBest   #MomsKnowBest ” Note that “Fed Is Best” is not about the Fed, but about the idea that feeding a baby is more important than feeding that baby breastmilk, specifically. Some babies have gone malnourished because a parent struggled to nurse them and were convinced that formula was poison . That must never happen again. Model Monday: HBCU Dancer DaQuendra Elston Never Let Her Size Hold Her Back

Here is the original post:

Source: Renato Rimach / Photo Credit: Renato Rimach Name: DaQuendra Elston IG: @daquendra  Agency: State Model Management Claim to Fame: DaQuendra won the Torrid model search. She also appeared on America’s Got Talent with her dance troupe the Honeybeez . On a balmy July afternoon most members of the Alabama State University graduating class of 2019 are working diligently behind the desks of their entry level jobs and hard-won internships ; DaQuendrea Elston isn’t among them. The model and dancer is spending her post-grad summer day sitting on set chilling in her robe between looks. In an exclusive interview with HelloBeautiful before the next take , she explained how she went from shaking her hips in one of the most impressive marching bands in the world to walking the catwalk for some of fashion’s biggest names. She explained, “In elementary, high school, college it’s always been somebody trying to knock me down and say I can’t do something cause of my size and unintentionally I always end up proving them wrong,” she said. The way the shift in her style highlighted her beauty led to her family pleading with her to try modeling as she gained more and more followers on Instagram with each outfit post. “Everybody was like you should model! I just hope they do whatever it is they say they want to do. I want them to be happy. It makes my day even brighter!” Currently she is looking forward to furthering her influence by breaking the stigma surrounding plus-size bodies. She is staring to create content that centers on the journey of plus-size women as career girls and go getters instead of invisible sloths, and illicit sex symbols . It is her goal to show women modeling, dancing, acting, and living their best lives without being restrained by their bodies, or others’ ideas about their bodies. “There really needs to be more platforms showing what being plus-size is because many people are not aware,” she said. Shannon Beador: Meet My Handsome New Man!

Shannon Beador has officially moved on from one of the messier divorces in recent Hollywood history . And not only that, but the Real Housewives of Orange County cast member has moved right into the arms of a very attractive new suitor. According to People Magazine, Beador is now dating a fellow California native named John Janssen. He’s a divorced father of three who graduated years ago from the University of Southern California. Janssen is 56 years old, met Beador through a mutual friend and he works as a partner at an insurance firm. “Shannon’s really happy,” a source close to the couple tells this publication , adding of her new lover: “He’s a great guy, and really adores her. And she is equally smitten. They make a great couple together and have been having a lot of fun.” Just how serious is this romance? It’s a bit too early to say for certain, but both sides have met the other’s kids — which is obviously a pretty huge deal in the world of dating and relationships. “The girls really like him,” the insider says of Shannon’s three daughters: Sophie, 18, and twins Stella and Adeline, 15. This past Tuesday, as you can see above, Shannon posed on Instagram with Janssen, sharing a smiling photo of the two during a night out in Newport Beach.  It’s been quite a journey for Beador to arrive at this happy place in her personal life. Shannon and ex-husband David Beador broke up in September 2017 after over 17 years of marriage; she then filed to end their marriage in December of this same year. Accusations of infidelity were subsequently hurled back and forth by both Shannon and David, with the former admitting she gained forty pounds due to stress from the marriage and then the split. She said many times that David checked out of the relationship as soon as her body started to change. Finally, after a year and a half of ugly allegations, the reality stars settled their divorce in April — he agreed to pay her $1.4 million . They also agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their daughters. The Real Housewives of Orange County kicks off season 14 on in August 6 at 9/8c on Bravo. Beador has already said that she’s back to her original weight and focused on the return of “Fun Shannon,” to use her own words. 1 AM Activities: Oregon Woman Arrested After Pouring Alcohol Into A Taco Bell Drive-Thru Employee’s Mouth

Source: Justin Sullivan / Getty Woman Gets A DUI After Pouring Taco Bell Alcohol In The Drive-Thru An Oregon sheriff’s department took to their Facebook page to share the details of its “weirdest DUI arrest of the weekend,” which involved law enforcement officials arresting a woman after she poured alcohol into a Taco Bell drive-thru employees mouth. The incident took place at around 1 a.m. on Saturday at a Taco Bell branch in Beaverton, Oregon, according to Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect is 23-year-old Elianna Aguilar-Aguilar, who had a blood alcohol level of 0.12 percent, over the Oregon state limit of 0.08. The Sheriff’s Office wrote in its Facebook post that Aguilar poured the alcohol into the employee’s mouth “right in front of a sheriff’s office sergeant,” while she was “still in her car.” The Oregonian reported that the woman’s drink of choice was Hennessy Cognac, but Washington County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Brian van Kleef clarified that the Taco Bell employee didn’t actually consume the alcohol. “We talked to the employee after, and he said most of it was spilled on him and that he actually didn’t consume the Hennessy,” he told the publication. The driver and employee did not know each other. While the police posted and made light of the incident on their Facebook page, some people didn’t agree that it was funny and spoke out in the comments section about how it’s inappropriate for the police to joke about the young woman. “I understand this is comical but it’s at the expense of someone that made a mistake that will impact her life for a long time. Why are we shaming her?” one person wrote. “I’m disappointed that the sheriffs office thinks this is appropriate.  People should still have to experience the consequence to their actions but kicking them while they’re down doesn’t seem like something that’s helping build community.” Aguilar-Aguilar was released from Washington County Jail on Tuesday. Taco Bell has not commented on the incident.

The 1972 Nike “Moon Shoe” Breaks Auction Record, Sells for $437K

Source: Sotheby’s / Sotheby’s Last week we reported that Sotheby’s and Stadium Goods nabbed $850K at an auction for a sneaker collection most collectors would kill to possess. Still there was one pair of kicks that were set to go on the block by themselves, a pair of 1972 Nike Waffle Racing Flat Moon Shoe which was limited to only 12 pairs and were expected to fetch a whopping $160,000. Well, it didn’t get the $160K everyone expected them to get. They sold for $437,000, though. According to Hypebeast the decades old pair of grails blew past its initial sales estimate and ultimately went to the man who purchased that aforementioned $850K collection, Mile Nadal. Of course, the Canadian investment firm founder isn’t planning on wearing the moon kicks to his next board meeting, but is instead planning to exhibit the sneakers at his private Dare to Dream Automobile Museum. Nadal’s purchase is one of 12 pairs ever made and is currently the only known pair to exist in unworn condition. Calling the sneaker a “true historical artifact in sports history and pop culture,” it was designed by Nike co-founder and track coach Bill Bowerman for runners at the 1972 Olympics trials. According to Sotheby’s, Bowerman found inspiration for the waffle sole traction pattern by pouring rubber into his wife’s waffle iron mold, subsequently creating its first-ever prototype. “I think sneaker culture and collecting is on the verge of a breakout moment,” Nadal said, with Sotheby’s eCommerce global head Noah Wunsch adding, “We are eager to see where this sale takes us, not only in future sneaker offerings, but also in other new luxury lifestyle areas.” Talk about styling on other sneakerheads. Nadal is out here copping exclusive collections to share with the people… kinda.

Family Members Involved In Disneyland Brawl Facing Felonies

Here is the original post:

Source: Getty Welp all that ratchet behavior comes with a cost and it might include jail time for the family members involved in that ridiculous Disneyland brawl that was caught on camera. Three of the adults are being charged with assault, domestic battery and child endangerment just to name a few.  SMH via: TMZ The fight erupted in Toontown — right in the middle of throngs of kids and families. You hear one of the people in the fight say, “I’m ready to go to jail tonight.” That person seems to also reference a Southern California gang. Just before the fight breaks out, you hear someone in the video talk about disrespecting family. You see a woman spit on the guy in pink and all hell breaks loose. One of the people charged — 35-year-old Avery Robinson (the guy in pink) was hit with 5 felonies for allegedly beating up his girlfriend. He’s charged with domestic battery and assault with a deadly weapon. And, since his kid was in the middle of the fight, along with 3 other children, he’s also been charged with child abuse and endangerment. Exclusive: “South Side” Creators Bashir Salahuddin & Diallo Riddle Talk Authentic Black Comedy, Showing Chicago’s Hilarious Side, Support From Issa Rae & More!

Source: Jesse Grant/Getty Images for Comedy Central Exclusive Bashir Salahuddin & Diallo Riddle Interview Most everyday people only care about the stars but it’s the Diallo Riddles and Bashir Salahuddins of the very small and very white world of Hollywood that power everything we love about the talent-thirsty industry. Once upon a time (seemingly before Al Gore invented the internet orrr something like that), you never met the creatives, visionaries or showrunners behind your favorite shows, but now, more than ever before, they’re on the forefront of promo campaigns like our new favorite duo Diallo Riddle and Bashir Salahuddin who went from “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” to cultivating their very own Comedy Central show. A refreshingly authentic series about Chicago called “South Side” that’s hilarious when it’s not revealing the heart, soul and beautiful sense of community that make the city so special. Billed as an aspirational comedy, the series follows two friends who just graduated community college with dreams of taking over the world but there’s one small problem: They’re stuck at Rent-T-Own–an endearingly run down rent-to-own store that attracts the south side’s most ridiculous characters (who, in one episode, refuse to return an X-Box). Think Donald Glover’s “Atlanta” but in Chicago (which you undoubtedly will) until you realize the series has a different energy that makes it completely unique. That, and the naturally funny cast of regular-smegular people from the community sprinkled into cleverly written episodes. As fans of great TV, we loved the music, zippy editing, cinematography, relatable characters in relatable situations, guest stars (we won’t spoil it), attention to very Black details and classic ’90s sitcom feel that set the tone for an amazing interview with two of Black Hollywood’s brightest talents. How did you get your big idea to Comedy Central? [Bashir] “South Side was very organic. Diallo and I always wanted to do a show about one of our hometowns–we actually developed a couple ideas around Atlanta (where I’m from) unfortunately we hit some walls with those. And then, with “South Side,” we really looked around the landscape and tried to figure out who was filming comedies that felt unfiltered and pure and we just felt like between The Chappelle Show, Key & Peele–we just felt like Comedy Central just kept making shows where you were seeing great stuff and it felt like the comedians were really doing the jokes the way they want to do them, how they want to do them. At the same time, whenever I’m home for Thanksgiving and Christmas I would be hangin’ out with my boys and just lmao and it kinda reminded me of the friendship me and Diallo have and other friendships that he has and it’s like ‘wait a second, we have all these great, funny people in our lives’ and if you ask most people who the funniest person they know is they’ll say ‘oh my cousin is hilarious, my auntie is so funny’ and, you know, it’s like ‘well, let’s put those people on camera’ So, we really developed a show about these two guys who are fresh out of community college and now they wanna take over the world. So, you know, it’s a blue collar vibe but it’s really starring a lot of Chicago people who have not even done a lot of acting–just naturally funny people. …my wife is in, my brother is the main character, two of my boys from high school are in it, Diallo is it, a lot of our family and friends are in it… and it’s just people in our lives who make us laugh naturally and what we ended up with was this really hilarious show that shows people a side of Chicago they don’t get to see, especially the south side, and showing people that we can have fun and we can laugh and be light and silly and all those things… And it’s still as authentic as something heavier. I know a lot of Chicago-based shows deal with pretty tough stuff and it’s like ‘yea, that stuff has a place and then we also have a place too where we can have fun’ because I think there’s nothing wrong with enjoying ourselves” We have to ask this question–because, working in this space we know you had to present this to people who may not look like us -[Diallo] Oh yea! Yes! We don’t want to say the room was mostlyyyy white buttttt –[Diallo and Bashir] “It was all white!” (laughs) [Bashir] “The President of Comedy Central, you know, he’s just somebody who really gets it and came to us four years before we pitched the show and was like ‘look, I think you guys are great if you ever wanna do a show come and see me–let’s figure something out’ Sometimes people say that and what thats means–and I think this is what you’re speaking to–it means they wanna throw some names on there that’ll satisfy some sort of diversity interest but ultimately still develop something that looks like everything else and has the same tired vibe as everything else. Kent Alterman of Comedy Central was the opposite–he was like ‘no, no, what do yall really want to do and he actually championed it and supported it and there were definitely a lot of notes and things we had to figure out but every single frame of that show is our vision and I think it shows in what you saw and doesn’t feel like something that was watered down. The City of Chicago is not a soft place–it’s a hard place–and I think luckily for us our comedy is a hard, sharp comedy that’s about some tough stuff BUT they were super supportive and like ‘tell your truth’ And so, the answer to your question really is that we just made the right choice in who we partnered with and I would encourage all people who are developing projects to really think hard about who you work with because if you make the right choice the person will help you create value and broaden what you’re doing in a wonderful way And if you make the wrong choice you’ll look up and wonder like ‘what is this we made this looks nothing like I wanted to make -[Diallo]- “Yea” – so we got lucky” Do you talk to other showrunners and creators in the space? [Bashir & Diallo] “All the time!” [Bashir] “We literally just hosted Issa Rae at the Clusterfest in San Francisco and she couldn’t be more of a delight and an intelligent, genius showrunner and helluva talent. And to be able to just chat with her about the process of showrunning and to know that we have a somewhat similar background because we got our start doing web material and she got her start on Awkward Black Girl–she created it and was doing her own thing–and to know we share the DNA of people who did their own thing before TV figured us out–that was special” What would be a success, in your eyes, for “South Side?” [Bashir] “For me, I always tell people that what you see about Chicago on the news is a small piece of a very big pie and we’re gonna give you the rest of the pie. And, you know, we feel like if the city of Chicago, especially Black Chicago, if more and more people start to think first ‘hey, isn’t that the funny place where everybody is really hilarious and has a good time’ vs. ‘hey, isn’t that the place where I just saw somebody who got hurt on the news’ You know, that is beginning to move the dial in the right direction. I don’t just want people on the outside to see that and think that about Chicago. My deeper goal is to have the people who actually live there begin to also self-identify moreso–which they already do but you just don’t hear about it–but self-identify moreso as a place of joy, as a place of comedy, in the same way Harlem is all about culture, specifically Black culture [Diallo] “I’m the only person involved in the show who didn’t grow up in Chicago but, as a person who didn’t, I can guarantee you that not only will you come out of it feeling like you know a lot more about Chicago but you’ll also understand all the ways that the south side of Chicago has similarities and relationships with all the other south sides of Atlanta, Inglewood, North Philly–all the neighborhoods where we are–you’ll understand the humanity that exists in Chicago and you’ll be a lot less likely to believe lies that get spread when people say it’s all violence and mayhem” Source: Comedy Central “South Side” debuts tonight at 10:30/9:30c on Comedy Central!

To Ken Todd, the long-time husband of veteran reality star Lisa Vanderpump, they should really be known as The Real Backstabbers Who Totally Suck of Beverly Hills. On the occasion of his very own birthday this past Sunday, Todd took to Twitter and absolutely blasted each and every one of his wife’s co-stars. Or former co-stars, we should now write, considering Vanderpump left the Bravo franchise this month after nine memorable seasons. “Yes, it’s my birthday and normally positive things happen on this day! So I would like to get some things off my chest,” Ken opened his viral rant, continuing as follows: “It’s a year next month that all the negativity against my wife started. I know I am not the most eloquent writer — I see and speak in simple terms. “This year, there has been a huge amount of nastiness that has pushed my wife to the brink. When, at a time in her life like this, she needed her friends!” The past several months really have been challenging for Vanderpump. Her brother, Mark, died from a drug overdose last spring — and, while grieving personally, Lisa has since butted heads with several of her castmates, including Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Teddi Mellencamp and Erika Jayne. Perhaps most notably, Vanderpump was at the center of PuppyGate, an actual scandal in which Dorit Kemsley adopted a pet from Vanderpump Dogs… alleged that it nipped at her kids… and then returned it to a shelter, instead of two Lisa’s aforementioned organization. From there, Vanderpump was accused of leaking a story about Kemsley’s dog to the press, an act she has since denied. She even took a lie detector on air to prove her innocence . Added Todd in his diatribe yesterday: “What really irks me is the hypocrisy of this whole matter. “The very PUBLIC issues — lawsuits, over 50 million dollars of them, loans in default, rehab, business misdoings, bankruptcies — have all been swept under the carpet. “Lifestyles paid for with other people’s money, I call bullsh-t!” Todd did not cite any Bravo personalities by name in his message. However, the only time anyone’s financial matters were brought up during shooting was on the second-to-last episode of this season, where Camille Grammer accused Kemsley and her husband of owing a friend of hers $1 million. Grammer also wondered how Kemsley could afford all of her expensive cars and clothes given her alleged knowledge that PK is bankrupt. Again, Todd does not mention this incident in particular. But he does touch on PuppyGate , specifically to how Lisa and her team helped pass House Resolution 401, which calls for an end to the dog and cat meat industry. “It disgusts me that the very fact that a resolution passed through Congress, in an attempt to save thousands of dogs worldwide, was brushed aside — years of our work was ignored as all the focus was on just one dog (that is now in a happy home, not biting, pecking or whatever you choose to call it). “I am not asking for anything now, not even 5 grand owed to our dog charity. But I am asking for this hatred to stop! I didn’t want my wife to go to the reunion as it has been bullying. “Yes, I used that word, bullying, because that is what this nonstop attack has been.” The $5,000 Ken mentions here is the fee Vanderpump Dogs charges people whose adopted puppies end up anywhere other than at their rescue center. It was a fee Vanderpump and Todd initially waived when they found out Dorit’s puppy, Lucy Lucy Apple Juice, ended up at what they claim was a high-kill shelter in Orange County as part of PuppyGate. “It sickened me to see my wife in tears and I am proud of her even doing the Angel Food when she has been so down,” Ken added in regard to LVP’s weekend appearance at a Project Angel Food charity event. He then went into the allegation Grammer made during the season and then accused Kyle Richards of saying off camera — that Vanderpump has “bad breath.” Seriously, dude went deep in this rant. “To now attack her personal hygiene disgusts me, I could put it out here that my wife’s breath is as sweet as she is, as I am the one who kisses her daily I should know,” Ken wrote. “I am so angry as it is a vile lie…like so many other things that have been said about her. “Attacking our [kids’] businesses, Vanderpump Rosé, which we have all worked hard on is just mean spirited! It’s in some of the best restaurants in the world.” In conclusion? “Their pettiness says everything. There are so many things WE could’ve said but haven’t… ‘So it’s not just Goodbye Kyle that I want to say…it’s goodbye to all of the vicious nastiness…there I feel much better now. Happy birthday to me.” Wow. Well… okay then, huh? Part 2 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion airs Tuesday, July 23 at 9/8c. on Bravo.

Meghan Markle vs. Pippa Middleton: New Feud Exposed!

For well over a year, reports of a feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have dominated tabloid headlines. The Dueling Duchesses, as they were dubbed by the British media simply couldn’t seem to get along, or even pretend to get along enough to fool the public. This was not, royal “insiders” insisted, a case of the press creating a false catfight narrative out of whole cloth, simply because that’s always what the press does with powerful women. No, this was a case of two of the most influential women in the world clashing so brutally that they were unable to hide their bad blood from London royal-watchers. And for a while there, it seemed the press was really on to something here. Meghan and Kate did not seem to like each other, as evidenced by their coolness toward one another in public, as well as Meghan and Harry’s decision to move out of Kensington Palace , the home they once shared with Will and Kate. But as new information about the spat became public knowledge, a very different narrative began to take shape. Insiders claimed that it was William and Harry who were feuding , not Meg and Kate. And recent photos and footage of Kate and Meghan enjoying each other’s company at Wimbledon seem to serve as evidence that the duchesses do not dislike each other at all. So did they really keep their distance and go to such great pains to disentangle their lives simply because their husbands couldn’t get along? Well, not quite … According to a new report from The Sun , the rumors are true, and Meghan has had a hard time gaining acceptance with several members of the royal family, including pseudo-royals like Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton. Pippa has no royal title, and officially, she has little to no clout within the Windsor clan. Unofficially, however, Pippa is surprisingly influential as a woman who’s very well-liked in a number of important social circles. And apparently, she and Meghan had to work hard to get to a point where they could peacefully co-exist: “On paper, Pippa and Meghan seem like a match made in heaven, as they are both good cooks, enjoy exercise and are wealthy mums with small baby sons,” an insider tells the tabloid. “Reality check is she is never going to be more than an American duchess married to Prince Harry who was hurtful to Pippa’s sister and who wants to rewrite the rules for the monarchy in the 21st century,” the insider adds. Yes, it seems Meg is still viewed as somewhat of a threat, due to her Americanness and her progressive views. And as much as they may not like each other, it seems Pippa is best at keeping the Duchess of Sussex in check: “Pippa is way too savvy to fall for all of that. Pippa will be more than capable of dealing with Meghan,” the source continues. “She is a seasoned old Marlburian brought up with good manners, clever and tough enough not to let light in on her sisterly frustrations with the Duchess of Sussex, particularly over the treatment Meghan meted out to Kate. “Meghan realises just what a close-knit family these girls come from, the support from parents Michael and Carol is unwavering.” Yes, it seems Pippa is still not happy with the way Meghan behaved toward Kate at some point (even though Kate seems to be over it). As a result, Pip seems to function in a sort of attack dog capacity, willing — if need to be — to do and say the things Kate can’t. “Pippa has a long memory say Edinburgh Uni chums. She has a rather hands-off relationship with Meghan and her overriding loyalty is to her sister,” the informant adds. “At the end of the day, there is a cordial friendship but an enduring closeness between Pippa and Meghan is never going to happen,” says the source. “Pippa will not be seen encouraging Meghan to pop by her Chelsea house, though visits have been made with Harry in tow.” We’re just gonna go ahead and assume that not encouraging someone to pop by your house in Chelsea is, like, the ultimate diss among UK socialites.
