Let me start by saying, I never thought I would be able to make…

Let me start by saying, I never thought I would be able to make my very own Bieber Experience. Having one seemed completely impossible, but I’m glad I never gave up. Justin is my life. Being a belieber is my job, and it means everything to me to see him.  On July 2nd, Essence Cosmetics came to Dallas, TX to do a screaming contest to win JB tickets and a meet & greet. Whoever had the loudest scream, won. I brought my cousin Brianna because I knew how loud that girl could scream! We went and we both screamed as loud as we could into the decibel meter. We then went home and I was so nervous and anxious to find out who won. Later that evening, Brianna’s phone rang. I listened in to the call. The person calling said, “Hi, is this Brianna? Did you enjoy the contest today?” My cousin said YES! At that moment, I  just knew it, I knew we won. The contest lady said, “Well we are calling to let you know that you are our grand prize winner!” My jaw dropped. I went from being shocked to being very emotional. I broke down in tears and ran downstairs to the kitchen to tell my mom. We went back to the event to get our tickets. My cousin was the one that actually won the tickets but she’s not a belieber, I am. She gave the tickets to me so I would be meeting Justin (only one meet and greet was awarded).  Once I got them, I felt like I was holding my life in my hands. The next morning, I woke up and was totally excited for the day. I finally had a m&g wristband in my hand! I made my way to the Essence booth to find the guy who would take the winners to the meet and greet. After about 45 minutes we went to where the meet & greets was located. We were told we’d have to be in groups of 5 or 6, but we debated about it and they said they would let the four of us winners go in as one group. When the girls in front of us went in, the black curtain was moved out of the way and I saw Justin. He was gorgeous! Then it was our turn. My heart burst, he was so beautiful and looked like a doll. We posed for the picture and as we were posing, I saw Alfredo and I wanted to freak out! There was one girl in between me and Justin, but I didn’t get upset about it. I was just happy to be there. After we took the picture, security tried getting us to leave right away. I quickly turned to Justin and he looked at me! At that point, security tried pulling me out (physically) and I said no. I turned back to Justin and I said, “JUSTIN, JUSTIN CAN I GET A HIGH FIVE?!!” He didn’t say anything but he smiled like a perfect little human being and gave me a high five! He touched my hand! He smiled at me! I made my idol smile! Then as we were leaving, one of the other winners and myself broke down. No, I mean really broke down. She fell to the floor and the two of us were crying so hard. Then we saw Kenny and got pictures with him as well. I’m so glad I got to meet Justin. I remembered my cousin was in our seats alone so I just went straight to her. The concert was so amazing. I’ve been waiting 4 and a half years to see Justin in concert and my dream finally came true. I’ll never forget it. Never. To the people that tell themselves everyday: “I’ll never meet Justin,” stop telling yourself that. I used to think the same thing but my dream did come true. Yours will too. Don’t forget to believe and never say never. See the original post: Let me start by saying, I never thought I would be able to make…

Mitt Romney on 47 Percent Comment: Taken Out of Context!

His infamous “47 percent” remark was taken out of context, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney tells The Washington Post in a new interview. The oft-cited quote was widely interpreted as the 2012 GOP nominee stating that 47 percent of Americans can’t be persuaded to take personal responsibility. Romney says that’s not what he was implying at all. Mitt Romney on Obama Voters “Actually, I didn’t say that,” he says. “That’s how it began to be perceived, so I had to ultimately respond to the perception, because perception is reality.” The Mitt Romney 47 percent comment was made at a May 2012 closed-to-the-press fundraiser in Florida, where he made his pitch to donors: “And so my job is not to worry about those people … I’ll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.” “What I have to do is convince the 5-10 percent in the center that are independents, that are thoughtful, that look at voting one way or the other.” Romney told the Post that the focus of his remarks was on swing voters , not on those who were already in President Barack Obama’s camp. “[I]t was saying, ‘Look, the Democrats have 47 percent, we’ve got 45 percent, my job is to get the people in the middle, and I’ve got to get the people in the middle.'” “They’ve got a bloc of voters, we’ve got a bloc of voters, I’ve got to get the ones in the middle. And I thought that that would be how it would be perceived.” Romney’s argument that the remarks were taken out of context is a new defense for him … and doesn’t quite explain the “care for their lives” bit. In the run-up to the election, Romney at first stood by the remarks, but said they were “not elegantly stated.” Later on he said they were “completely wrong.” Romney nonetheless acknowledged that the quote was “very damaging” to his campaign, and based on the 2012 election results , it’s hard to argue.

Nina Dobrev Gets It On With Mr. Potato Head!

Here’s one of my favorite cuties Nina Dobrev at Variety ‘s Power of Youth event, which I’m told is meant to celebrate the best young talent in Hollywood. So I’m glad to see that other people are finally realizing what me and my readers have known for months now — that Nina is really going places. And hopefully my bedroom’s on that list. Anyway, I’m not really sure what Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head were doing here, but I think this might officially be the weirdest threesome fantasy we’ve ever had on the site. So enjoy, the one guy out there whose sick dreams just came true. » view all 22 photos Photos: WENN.com , PacificCoastNews

My name is Harlee and I’m a 15 year old belieber from…

My name is Harlee and I’m a 15 year old belieber from Stockholm, Sweden. I found out Justin was coming to Sweden last summer and I totally freaked out. Now when I think back I’m so happy to be able to write this and tell people that I actually met my biggest inspiration. I remember wondering if he was going to have a meet & greet when he got here and a hoped but I didn’t think I was going to be able to get one. I remember sitting home and my mom called her friend who happened to work at a ticket service in Sweden. The site she worked for had a pre sale so I got the best tickets (Golden Circle) one day before the official tickets were on sale. I was overjoyed when I got the tickets and I couldn’t believe it. Then about a month later the ticket site wrote that they were going to release M&G tickets and basically my whole country freaked out. Many people were queuing for tickets outside the ticket booth. One of them was my friend Michelle who got tickets. I was so happy for her but at the same time, I was breaking inside. Michelle promised me she would help me to get a ticket and I believe she really did. A couple of months before the concert, the ticket site once again announced they were releasing more M&G tickets. The same hour I found out about it my mom drove me to outside the ticket place were they was going to sell them the next day. There was like 5 girls in the que who arrived one hour before I did. Towards the evening my mom came with food, a sleeping bag, blankets etc. for me because we were going to sleep outside. The next day at about 12pm, the people who sold the tickets came out and told us we had to wait some more hours for the tickets. Finally I got my ticket and I cried so hard. Sooner than I expected, the big day arrived and I was so excited. Once again I was all by myself and lined up outside the backstage area. I showed my ticket, and got a wristband. While waiting for Justin, Dan came, and a dancer. The VIP host Ryan came and he was really funny. He told us that Justin was here and everyone freaked out. When we got in line to go into the little room with curtains, Justin came out on his segway, waved and said, “Hey, everybody!” before he rauhled into the tent again (see what I did there). It all went pretty fast from there and finally it was my turn. When I saw Justin in front of me I just wanted to cry, but I couldn’t. I looked up at him and said, “Justin, can you please smile?” and he looked into my eyes and smiled the biggest smile with this little giggle. It was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Then he placed one arm around me and placed me beside him. The photos were taken and he grabbed my hand quickly before I went outside. I still couldn’t cry. It was the best few seconds of my life. Thank you Justin Drew Bieber for making my biggest dream come true. -@bangingdrew See original here: My name is Harlee and I’m a 15 year old belieber from…

Race Matters: Pre-Zimmerman Verdict Poll Shows More Blacks Than Ever Are Satisfied With How Society Treats Them!

Keep in mind this poll happened before Zimmerman walked and over half the people surveyed said they are not satisfied with the way blacks are treated! Via L.A. Times reports : A new poll shows that black Americans have grown more upbeat about their treatment in society after the reelection of President Obama. Earlier this summer, a record 47% said they were satisfied with how blacks were treated in the country — more than at any other time since Gallup started asking the question in 2001. However, Gallup cautioned that the question was asked before George Zimmerman was acquitted in the killing of Trayvon Martin — an event that could dim that rising optimism. Civil rights leaders have called the controversial verdict a wake-up call to those who thought the election of a black president heralded a post-racial era. The Zimmerman case “could prove to be a watershed event in how not just blacks, but all Americans, perceive society’s treatment of blacks today,” Gallup senior editor Lydia Saad wrote in a summary of the results. The research group surveyed more than 4,300 adults, including more than 1,000 black Americans, in June and early July. Researchers and activists say the election of Obama buoyed hopes among African Americans, who saw his political rise as a sign of new possibilities for black advancement and acceptance. Some fear it also distracted attention from disadvantages blacks still face. Even before the Zimmerman verdict, more than half of black Americans remained dissatisfied with the treatment of black people, the Gallup poll showed. They were much more downbeat than whites and Latinos, a majority of whom said they were satisfied with how blacks were treated. Gallup found that black women were less satisfied than black men, with the sharpest differences surfacing among young people. Sixty-three percent of black women ages 18 to 34 were dissatisfied with the treatment of blacks in the United States, compared with 46% of black men in the same age range — a finding that surprised some scholars. “The conventional wisdom would be that young black males are targeted and harassed and therefore should be the least satisfied,” said Franklin D. Gilliam Jr., dean of the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. Others pointed to the added burdens of sexism for black women. “Stereotypes they face are oftentimes accepted by members of even their own communities,” said Kimberle W. Crenshaw, a professor at the UCLA School of Law. Sad that this is the highest satisfaction rating ever for a Gallup poll and less than half of blacks surveyed were dissatisfied. Is it gonna be another thirty years before we get it right? Continue reading
