Rihanna getting back together with Chris Brown has drawn serious backlash from many fans and fellow celebs, but Evelyn Lozada is not one of them. Evelyn tells Celebuzz regarding Rihanna and Chris Brown : “Their incident happened years ago and he’s [Chris] been though a lot because of it as well.” “If he’s changed and gotten the help he was supposed to get, I don’t see anything wrong with it,” adds the Basketball Wives star and friend of Rihanna. Evelyn certainly knows where Rihanna is coming from, given that she ended her own marriage last summer after Chad Johnson head-butted her . She continued: “I feel like if it works for you, then great. If he’s changed then even better. That’s her life and I feel like that’s another reason why I love and respect Rihanna. “I hope he’s [Chris] changed and he respects her and loves her and obviously will never go down that path again. I think he’s learned his lesson.” “She doesn’t fall into what she thinks that she do for the people. She lives her life,” she added . “It’s hard to do that when so many people have an opinion.” “We don’t know what they deal with, what goes on behind closed doors.” Evelyn Lozada went on to heap more praise on Rihanna personally. “The misconceptions are that she’s wild and crazy because that’s all people get to see. But I’ve been with her behind closed doors. She’s amazing.” “I mean, this is the same person I see hug and kiss her cleaning lady. She’s loving and super super sweet and amazing to me and my daughter.” “I think people put so much pressure on her being a role model and that’s a lot of pressure when you’re just trying to live your life,” she added. SMH: Investigation On Ohio Obama Supporter Who May Have Voted For The President 6 Times In 2012 Election

She sure looks like a nice lady and not one to be voting six times under other people’s names and such… Via Fox News: The Obama/Biden lawn sign remains proudly planted in front of Melowese Richardson’s Cincinnati home, three months after the presidential election. It seems that President Obama has an especially ardent supporter in the veteran Ohio poll worker. Richardson told a local television station this month that she voted twice for Obama last November. She cast an absentee ballot and then voted at the polls as well. “Yes, I voted twice,” Richardson told WCPO-TV. “I, after registering thousands of people, certainly wanted my vote to count, so I voted. I voted at the polls.” Authorities also are investigating if she voted in the names of four other people, too, for a total of six votes in the 2012 presidential election. “I’ll fight it for Mr. Obama and for Mr. Obama’s right to sit as president of the United States,” Richardson vowed when asked about the voter fraud investigation that is now under way. Richardson is one of 19 people suspected of illegal voting by the Hamilton County Board of Elections in the last election. Richardson’s granddaughter, India Richardson, confirmed to Fox News that her grandmother voted for her, by submitting an absentee ballot in her name. India told Fox News that she is not angry, and gave her permission to cast her absentee ballot. “It wasn’t a big deal,” she said. But election authorities say voting more than once, or in someone else’s name, is a big deal because it is illegal and threatens the credibility of the nation’s election system. As part of a new effort to root out any voter fraud, Secretary of State Husted has ordered all 88 of the state’s county Board of Elections to hold public hearings on any credible voter fraud allegations or claims of voter disenfranchisement during the 2012 election. He said any substantiated allegations should be turned over to prosecutors. “Once the election is over, and once the winner is declared, everybody forgets about it. I want to make sure that we don’t forget about it, that we make sure we do, essentially, an audit of that process to ensure that we know what happened, and then use that evidence to guide us going forward. … We need to learn from that last election so that we can be better before the next one gets here.” “Fraud does happen,” noted Husted. “Most attempts are caught by the system. But there are cases that do slip through, as this one does, and we need to make sure that we really send a strong message, that if you do this, you are going to be held accountable. It might mean fines, it might mean jail time.” Voter fraud, said Husted, “undermines public confidence in democracy, and that’s why we need, whether you are a Democrat or Republican, to root out all cases of voter fraud.” SMH. Thoughts???

Race Matters: Is Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue Guilty Of Using People Of Color As Props???

Do we need to be more up in arms over Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue ? Via Salon.com : Sports Illustrated’s latest swimsuit issue used their ”seven continents” theme as an occasion to run photos of (mostly) white models posing with people of color as a background that signifies the “exotic” nature of the shoot locations. In one shot from Guilin, Guangxi (an autonomous region of China), a white model reclines on a raft while a local man uses a pole to mimic chauffeuring her around. In another, this time in the southern African Republic of Namibia, a white model poses with a black man holding a spear, wearing indigenous clothing that reveals as much of his body as hers. Sports Illustrated is hardly the first magazine or catalog to use people of color as set design, only the most recent. Other examples include famed mammy doll candlestick-makers Anthropologie, along with J.Crew, Free People, Vogue and Nylon, to name just a few. Now, the problem isn’t with featuring different cultures in commercial or editorial contexts; it’s much more about editorial intent. When a photo makes clear that the story it is telling is not about the person being shot with the model, that instead they are being used purely as cultural context or “exotic” buzz — that’s the problem. The man in Namibia, whether or not he authentically dresses like that or if he was hired to do so, is not the story in that photo. He is there for a boring, hackneyed attempt at visual juxtaposition. His brownness is contrast for her whiteness. His spear, his desert, his all-encompassing “African-ness” is the point. He’s furniture. He’s the Taj Mahal. The Eiffel Tower. He’s there to locate the viewer in the world, not tell them anything. And none of this is to mention that the picture offers a purely one-dimensional representation of an entire country. Did you know that Namibia is not just one big desert? Did you know this completely generic shopping complex is not actually in Fairfield, Connecticut, but Windhoek? Now look, I am not here to regurgitate a critical race studies paper from my college years, but it’s important to talk about completely bogus representations of race and culture when they come up. But the response to the issue has largely ignored these bizarre and racially clueless images, instead focusing on Kate Upton and her nearly nekkid Arctic adventure. A spread which, by the way, used penguins the same way the Namibia and Guangxi shoots used people. Are we sensing what’s wrong here yet? My name is Kiana, I’m 19 and I have been supporting Justin since 2009. I have absolutely wanted to meet Justin for like 4 years, and that finally happened when Justin came down to Miami for the Believe Tour. My best friend Jazmine (@RoyalJieber) and I entered the BieberFever contest for Miami. We thought both had a really great chance of meeting Justin. The day before the concert I woke up in the morning thinking that I won the BieberFever contest but I didn’t win it and I was pretty upset. I cried for 2 hours because it was our last chance to meet Justin before this tour ended. The crazy thing that my friends from (@BieberGift) trended #BiebsMeetJazmine and Jasmine never ask them to make her tend topic worldwide on Twitter and they tried so freaking hard get crew to see it they all online at the time but I’m guessing they didn’t see it. The day of the concert I started getting ready to heading to arena with Jazmine and her mom. When we got there, we didn’t see anyone from the crew outside of the arena. Then around 1 p.m. Jazmine was checking her Twitter she got a DM from Brad saying, “What do you want to put the M&G under?” She DM’d him back saying her name and then Brad said, “Go to will call & pick up you’re M&G around 4pm.” Then next thing you know Jazmine was crying & screaming “I’m meeting Justin.” I was so shook, I couldn’t believe it was finally happening! Later on, Jazmine and I saw Jaden Smith, Moise, and Mateo . Jaden Smith was talking all the fans and giving out some MSTFTS sticker. I remember Moise was filming Jaden. Around 4 p.m. Jazmine and I walked up to will call to get the M&G. After waiting around for 20 minutes, the guy called my friend’s name and we got them. Then we went to get in line for the M&G. We were waiting for like 2 hours and finally they let us go in the arena. Security guards told me, “keep walking until you see other security guards.” Finally the line was moving. We saw Scooter on other side of the room, then we saw Quincy and he smile and waved at us. It was time for me and my friend go inside the curtain and the first thing I saw was Alfredo. I said to Alfredo, “I’m SpongieGomez,” and he said, “Omg it’s nice to finally meet you.” Then he give me a huge hug and kissed me, then we saw Justin.  Jazmine and I looked at each other like ”OMG he is freaking real!” Justin’s bodyguards said to us, “Stop pushing” and I told them I wasn’t. I turned around and told everyone to move back. Then I was aloud to meet Justin. I asked him for a hug and he said sure. Justin’s skin was so freaking soft. Then his bodyguard pulled me off of him and said, “We don’t have time for that, we have take the picture.” Mike the camera guy was like, “Say cheese!” After we smiled for the picture I said “Justin,” as he looked dead into my eyes. “I love you so much,” and he said, “I love you too.” Then I had to leave the room and I said, “Bye Fredo I love you.” Then the next thing you know I freaking screamed so hard and said, “Omg Justin said I love you too.” We were crying so hard. We got recorded for Justin’s Believe movie after meeting him . After all the times I tried so hard to meet Justin and after all of the people who told me I would never meet him, I did. It was the most amazing experience of my life. I’ll never ever forget everything that happened, I am so thankful for the experience. I want to thank you my best friend Jazmine (@RoyalJieber) for making my dream come true by letting me meet Justin with you. I wish that I could relive the experience again. I would, I’ll never forget it. New Photo Of Blue Ivy Revealed Looks like a still from Bey’s new “Life Is But A Dream” documentary has leaked and the face of Bey and Hov’s daughter Blue Ivy can be finally seen… Via Reuters reports: The film, which Beyonce co-directed, is part of a return to performing after a year off since her first child was born. Beyonce began her comeback with a controversial lip-synched performance of the national anthem at President Barack Obama’s inauguration in January, followed by a live performance at the Super Bowl halftime show that wowed critics. At the New York premiere of the documentary on Tuesday, the new mother said she wanted to share her altered perspective on life. “Knowing that at this point in my life, this age is so wonderful because I see everything differently and I hope that I can share that with other people,” she said. The HBO film shows footage of a sonogram, Beyonce’s growing bump and grainy video of herself posing nude as she neared her due date. The arrival last year of Blue Ivy Carter gained worldwide media attention and prompted Beyonce to share more with her fans, launching a Tumblr page with snapshots of her family life. Her miscarriage had been kept secret from the public until Jay-Z referred to it in his song “Glory,” that he released following the birth of Blue Ivy. In the documentary, Beyonce touched on the topic briefly, saying, “It was the saddest thing I’ve ever been through.” “My life is a journey. … I had to go through my miscarriage, I believe I had to go through owning my company and managing myself … ultimately your independence comes from knowing who you are and you being happy with yourself,” she said. “Life is But a Dream” also gives a peek into the Grammy-winner’s four-year marriage to Jay-Z, showing the couple singing Coldplay’s “Yellow” to each other. “This baby has made me love him more than I ever thought I could love another human being,” she says. If you’re one of those people who hates Valentine’s Day because you’re single, you are definitely in good company but Shonda Rhimes, the creator of hit shows “Scandal,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” was particularly ticked off after someone tweeted her asking her to write something inspiring to the ladies alone on V-Day. Here’s her response : Here is what I say to all the ladies who are alone on Valentines Day: please do not ever use these words “ladies who are alone on Valentine’s Day” together in a sentence ever again. Ever. Again. Valentine’s Day is just a day. It’s just a day of the year like any other. Go. Be happy with the people you love and who love you. See a friend. Read a book. Flirt with a cute boy (or girl). Dance it out. Watch a movie. Have a party. Build a robot. Stop a Zombie Apocalypse. Take over the Earth. Paint your toenails. Eat soup. DO ANYTHING. BUT DO NOT buy into the idea that a day created by greeting card companies should be more romantic than other day or should make you feel lonelier than any other day. Cause life is awesome. And that (feeling lonely cause of a day) is stupid. And a waste of perfectly good time. And it makes me do things like write ranty tweets. Because FOR REALS? Christopher Dorner Case: LAPD Alert Called Off, Officials Confident Manhunt is Over

The LAPD has moved back into a “normal state of police operation” after Tuesday’s Christopher Dorner gun battle, a signal that the manhunt is over. Cops won’t officially declare Christopher Dorner dead until the tests are run on the corpse believed to be inside what is left of a burned down California cabin. Still, every indication is that Dorner was inside when the cabin went up in smoke. A rep for the police department says the city is no longer on tactical alert. Dorner met his fate following a frightening shootout in which he exchanged fire with police and barricaded himself in a remote cabin in Big Bear, Calif. The former LAPD officer is accused of killing four people, including two police officers, one of whom died yesterday during the gun battle with Dorner. Authorities are working to examine the remnants of the cabin and ID any remains before putting out an official report confirming the death of Dorner. The manhunt for the 33-year-old spanned a week and much of Southern California before apparently ending in Big Bear yesterday afternoon. Early Tuesday, two cleaning ladies at a condominium in Big Bear discovered a man they say looked like Dorner, who was rumored to be hiding there. He took them hostage, tied them up and tried to escape, stealing a pair of vehicles along the way. Now law enforcement officials are confident they got their man. Acting on reports of a carjacking, law enforcement officials quickly tracked the man accused of targeting police officers and their families in February. “The suspect that stole the vehicle matched the description. He crashed the car and then took off,” San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon said. As he barricaded himself in an empty cabin, the man believed to be Dorner fired a .50-caliber sniper rifle, shooting two deputies, killing one of them. Dorner tried to escape by throwing a smoke grenade at officers. Police also deployed smoke grenades as a screen so the wounded could be evacuated. The resort town of Big Bear had been the focus of the manhunt since last Thursday, when a burned-out truck belonging to Dorner was found in the area. Weapons, survival gear and a gas mask were also found. As media and SWAT teams descended on the town, police say Dorner hid in plain sight in an unoccupied condo across the road from their command post.
