Things for 90 Day Fiance stars Colt and Larissa took a somewhat scary turn after Larissa was arrested for domestic battery . Her arrest followed an argument in which she locked herself in the bathroom and begged her followers for help. Now, however, she’s out on bond, and she and Colt want to assure everyone that everything’s fine, actually . After being released on bond, Larissa put out a statement on her Instagram Story. “Hello everyone,” Larissa begins. “Thank you for the support and love,” she says. “I am safe and resting.” “The past 48 hours have been the most difficult in my life,” the 31-year-old Brazilian woman admits. “But reading the messages from all of you has made me smile,” Larissa writes. “God bless and thank you,” she concludes, promising: “I’ll update soon.” Upon her return to Instagram, Larissa changed her frantic-cry-for-help bio so that it read “survivor.” That, particularly from someone who is not a native English speaker, is very cryptic. She has since changed the profile on her still-private Instagram to something more general about how she’s a 90 Day Fiance star. Larissa also shared the above photo of her and Colt at an aquarium. “People are asking about me and Colt, sending message to him (I read everything),” she writes in the caption. Larissa affirms: “We are together and strong. We just choose [to not] expose it.” What she means by that is that they have decided to not go into detail about what went down — not yet, anyway. For his part, Colt decided to take aim at people who were trying to figure out what happened between them. “Self proclaimed internet sleuths who think they are Woodward and Bernstein,” Colt’s Instagram post begins. Colt continues: “They are simply people that spread misinformation, lies, and chaos to make themselves look important.” “They are nothing and will never be relevant,” Colt declares. He and Larissa had both posted about what had happened between them, but it looks like he didn’t care for the people who were spinning theories. Honestly, that message is a little hostile. We strongly prefer when Colt posts cat photos. As we mentioned, both 90 Day Fiance stars — who were married last June — had spoken about the fight. Larissa had claimed that she was upset with Colt for not being open about their marriage on social media. She said that he’d brought home flowers but when they continued to fight, he’d knocked over shelves. She then said that he’d deactivated her wifi and took her phone, which caused her to panic. She hid in the bathroom and used a tablet to try to convince her followers to message Colt and tell him to reconnect her. Larissa also expressed a fear that Colt would call the police. Ultimately, it looks like someone — perhaps a fan — called the police. “Larissa was arrested this afternoon,” Colt shared on Instagram over the weekend. “She suffers from high anxiety and several [sic] depression.” “She overreacted to problems that do not exist,” Colt claimed. “I proceeded to deactivate her phone to try to defuse the situation. This escalated issues and matters became worse,” he admitted. Colt realized: “She felt this action was a threat towards her and tried to reach out for help.” “Not long after her cry was posted,” he said. “The police came and knocked down the front door. They drew their guns at me and handcuffed me.” It sounds like both of them feared for their safety at one point. “The police interviewed us,” Colt said. “But not long after they decided to arrest Larissa.” “No one was hurt and I did not press charges against my wife,” Colt clarified. “However,” he explained. “It is policy in the state of Nevada that since we are in a domestic partnership, someone had to be arrested.” So that is Colt’s side of the story. Even if no one was really hurt, everything about that sounds toxic. We hope that nothing like it ever happens again. Miley Cyrus has penned an emotional post about the loss of something very close and personal: Her home. The singer alerted Instagram and Twitter followers last night that her house burned down in the massive wild fire that continues to consume significant areas of California. “Completely devestated [sic] by the fires affecting my community,” the singer Tweeted on Sunday, explaining in more detail: “I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong.” It’s very safe to assume that Cyrus is referencing Liam Hemsworth when she writes the “LOVE OF MY LIFE.” “I am grateful for all I have left. Sending so much love and gratitude to the firefighters and LA country Sheriff’s department!” she continued. From there, as you can see below, Miley encouraged followers to donate to organizations that are helping folks stay safe during this very dangerous time: “I love you more than ever , Miley,” the star concluded her post. OVer 250,000 residents of California have been evacuated as a result of this ongoing disaster. At last count, 31 people had died. Other celebrities who have lost their homes, been forced to flee or just commented on the tragedy in general include Alyssa Milano, Gerard Butler, Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga. Kardashian, meanwhile, used the stage of Sunday’s People Choice Awards to speak on the devastation that has affected her , her siblings and so many others. “It’s been a really rough week in our home in Calabasas, Hidden Hills, and for our neighbors in Thousand Oaks and Malibu,” Kim said, elaborating in emotional detail as follows: “Our hearts are broken from the horrific shootings and for those who have lost their lives and homes, as well as the hundreds of thousands of us that have been evacuated from the devastating fires that are currently burning.” Continued Kim: “As horrible as this has been, it’s been amazing to see the resilient spirit of everyone involved, and the heroism of those risking their lives on the front lines. “Action is necessary, so anything we can do to help, as simple as donating to the many organization that are collecting supplies, no form of help is too small. “Our country is stronger when we come together and we cannot face devastation alone. “We must continue to reach out and help each other during these trying times.” Amen, right? Over 200 people have been reporting missing as a result of these wild fires. Former Southern Charm villain Ashley Jacobs says that she never wanted to be Kathryn Dennis’ enemy. But Ashley also says that Kathryn isn’t sober and has never been sober, and that her trip to rehab was a publicity stunt. Ashley Jacobs took to Instagram to chat with fans … and she began by sharing that she was asked to return to Southern Charm . (Others, including Patricia Altschul , have suggested that Ashley was never invited back) “They wanted me to film with Eliza Limehouse and one other cast member,” Ashley claims. Ashley even furnishes additional details, writing: “They asked us to film while getting our nails done.” “Kathryn and Eliza do not get along,” Ashley shares. “So it felt like a setup.” Ashley and Kathryn’s feud was a major storyline last season. “My intent is not to hurt her,” Ashley says. Contrary to how it has appeared, Ashley writes: “I have no animosity towards her.” You know how sometimes a discussion seems settled, and then someone texts I just think it’s funny that … That’s what Ashley does here. “But I think it’s wrong to pretend you are sober and to use it as a platform if it’s not true,” Ashley writes. Ashley explains that she objects to Kathryn’s alleged lies because they’re an insult to real sober folks. “There are people that are truly trying to turn their lives around,” Ashley says. She insists that: “It’s not something you lie about.” Ashley, we should probably note, is a registered nurse. People in the medical profession can be particularly sensitive to what addiction can do to people. “Considering [Kathryn]was seen at [Vintage Lounge] and several [other] bars on Saturday night drinking… I think it’s pretty clear,” Ashley concludes. Ashley then doubles down on her insistence that Ashley is not and has not been sober. “She was never sober,” Ashley insists. “Rehab was paid for by Bravo.” “She didn’t complete the program,” Ashley claims. “It was a publicity stunt.” “As soon as she came back to Charleston she was seen drinking at Halls, Vintage, Deco, Republic… the list goes on,” Ashley reports. “She doesn’t try to hide it,” Ashley adds. “In Charleston everyone is aware,” she says to explain that she’s not starting this rumor. “I’m not broadcasting it.” “In Charleston everyone knows,” Ashley repeats. “She just hides it well on social media.” Despite having just put Kathryn on blast and accusing her of being a lying hypocrite as well as an addict, Ashley laments that they’re not friends. “The interesting thing is,” Ashley points out. “She was painted as the villain for several seasons.” Yep. And then, very notably, Kathryn became a much more chill person. “I know she understands what I am going through,” Ashley says. “I wish we could have used the common ground as a foundation for a positive relationship,” Ashley says. If Ashley really did hope to become friends with Kathryn, these comments are not the way to do it. Perhaps she just figures that it’s too late anyway. We have to say that dating Kathryn’s ex who is also her baby daddy was probably not the best way to make a good first impression. Also, no amount of “editing” could make their on-camera interactions last season seem anything but hostile. We know that Ashley has admitted that she did not respond well to being on a realtiy show. (We are also fully aware of the way that Thomas would bait her into getting upset, as was pointed out by the other stars) But ultimately, Ashley chose to have an adversarial relationship with Kathryn. We can confirm that Ashley tested positive for marijuana (who cares) and cocaine (okay that one’s not ideal) in her system. It was because of that drug test that Thomas got custody of their children. Only this summer did Kathryn start fighting back. While Kathryn has spoken about her sobriety, that word can mean different things to different people. Some people get sober from hard drugs but continue to use marijuana, often as a medicine. Others might do the same but continue to drink alcohol, especially socially. W hen it comes to securing venture capital for business ventures, there isn’t a level playing field for Black entrepreneurs. Racial disparities in the world of VC goes beyond the struggles that business owners of color have when trying to get capital for their startups. The organization is aiming to turn 200 African-American investors to 400 over the next six years. BLCK VC has been primarily focused on areas that include New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles and they hope to expand to other cities. The firm wants to cultivate a safe space for Black investors so that they can come together and develop actionable strategies to diversify the venture capital industry. “We think of ourselves as an organization formed by black VCs for Blacks VCs to increase the representation of black investors,” Sydney Sykes , Co-founder, BLCK VC, told the news outlet. “You can look around and say ‘well, I know five black VCs,’ but you can also say this firm does not have a single black VC, they may not even have a single underrepresented minority … We want to make firms reckon with the fact that there is a racial diversity problem; there is a lack of black VCs and every firm should really care about it.” Her business partner Frederik Groce added that there’s an “incredible need to ensure there are resources in place so people don’t churn out of the community.” Groce and Sykes join other Black entrepreneurs who are creating opportunities in the venture capital world. Entrepreneur Shelly Bell launched Black Girl Ventures to help Black women entrepreneurs gain access to VC funding and to build a network. S tacey Abrams dismissed her GOP rival Brian Kemp ’s call for her to concede their race for Georgia governor, saying she wanted to honor voters’ sacrifices by making their ballots count. Kemp is currently ahead by approximately 60,000 votes and claims that it’s mathematically impossible for Abrams to win. However, Abrams counters that thousands of uncounted ballots are still out there and must be counted. If Kemp’s current 50.3 percent lead falls below 50 percent, Georgia law requires a runoff in early December. Meanwhile, the NAACP and Southern Christian Leadership Conference rallied for Abrams on Saturday, fuming about voter suppression targeting African-Americans at Georgia polling stations and during the early voting period. “We heard stories from voters who took time off work to vote, only to be turned away at their assigned polling precinct and every polling place they visited,” Abrams said. “Their voices deserve to be heard. They deserve justice. Chip and Joanna Gaines are about to take a new step in their professional lives. And it’s a significant one. The former HGTV stars announced on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Friday that they will soon make their long-awaited return to television. In what context? In what way? The beloved couple remained mostly mum on the subject while chatting with the comedian last night. “We signed a non-disclosure and it said quote unquote you can tell your mother but that’s it,” Chip joked on air, adding: “So mom, I just wanted to make a quick announcement, we are coming back to television. “You are going to get to see the kids grow up, you are going to see us, well maybe a six-month delay like the rest of the world, but we are excited to be back.” Just over a year ago, Chip and Joanna announced that would be leaving Fixer Upper after five seasons . Since then, the home renovation experts have been rather busy in their own home, having welcomed their fifth child in late June. However, Magnolia spokesman John Marsicano talked to People Magazine and offered a lot more detail on what the future holds for his co-workers: “We’re excited to share that we are currently in the early stages of talking with Discovery about a lifestyle-focused media network for Magnolia. “The details surrounding this opportunity remain a work in progress, but together, our hope is to build a different kind of platform for unique, inspiring and family-friendly content.” Speaking to Fallon, Chip did add the following: “I think we’re really going to carve it out in a way that really makes sense to us and our families. “It’ll be filmed a lot in Waco, Texas, so we don’t have to travel a whole lot. All things being equal, we could not be more excited.” Chip and Joanna hosted the top-rated show on HGTV prior to leaving the small screen. Fans fell in love with how they remade various homes, but also with how they joked around and interacted with each other. The upcoming new network will be the latest addition to Chip and Joanna’s gigantic list of successful businesses. This includes their lifestyle magazine The Magnolia Journal, the new Magnolia Table restaurant and the couple’s product line at Target. Despite bidding farewell to Fixer Upper in April, Chip and Joanna have remained very active in the business world. “The show was amazing and we are so thankful for it, but it’s also a whirlwind where, if you are not careful, it will flat run you over,” Chip told People in October.
