Listen To Anne Hathaway Sing ‘I Dreamed A Dream,’ Pinpoint Exactly When She Earns That ‘Les Mis’ Oscar

We can all agree that Anne Hathaway ‘s brief but gloriously tragic turn in Tom Hooper ‘s Les Miserables earned her the enviable position as Best Supporting Actress front runner. Now you can listen to her movie-topping number “I Dreamed A Dream” online and pinpoint the exact moment when that Oscar statuette officially writes “Anne Hathaway’s syphilitic whore” on its nameplate, because all you other Supporting Actress hopefuls can just give up and go home already*. I will preface this by saying that Hathaway’s one-take, sung-through rendition of Fantine’s rock bottom lament plays better in the film when you can see the Acting with a capital A she’s doing, because singing while weeping hysterically is harder than it sounds. (We’ve all been there, right? Right?! Guys ??) Microphone drop at 3:40, y’all. And if you’re not entirely impressed based on this listen alone, remember that one time when this happened and appreciate the magic that Hathaway is sprinkling all over us by comparison. *Of course there’s a chance that Hathaway will not win the Oscar, in which case I will eat Russell Crowe’s fancy hat. Gawker to Hulk Hogan: Shut Up, Cheater!

Gawker Media has issued a response to Hulk Hogan’s $100 million lawsuit . The company – which released a one minute and 41-second clip of Hogan pounding Heather Clem on its website – has asked the judge to throw out the wrestler’s suit because Hogan already admitted in a 2009 book that he had cheated on wife Linda. Therefore, the video could not have soiled his reputation, as Hulk alleges. Moreover, Gawker takes the side that it didn’t record the video; it merely alerted the public to snippets from it. Isn’t that the job of any news source? Both sides are now awaiting the ruling from a judge.

Lady Gaga on Weight Gain: What About Adele?!?

About a month ago, Lady Gaga admitted: she’s gained a little weight. It’s an issue that has tormented the singer for her entire life. In response, Gaga has started a “Body Revolution” on her Little Monsters website, asking fans to embrace their curves and inner beauty. Speaking to Stylist UK about the movement, she referenced another artist and compared the reception Adele has received versus the one that’s recently plagued Gaga. “Adele is bigger than me,” Gaga said . “How come nobody says anything about it? She’s so wonderful and I think her confidence is something I have to match. She has set the bar very high for a lot of woman. I need to be a confident woman and just say politically active things when I can that are helpful to young people.” And while it might help to shelve those lasagna recipes , Gaga says the true key to self-confidence comes from within – and without. “We should all make an effort to be nice to one another all the time,” Gaga says of women around the world.

Demi Lovato: Single, So Happy!

For the record, contrary to previous reports, Demi Lovato is not dating Niall Horan . He’s an “awesome, sweet guy,” the singer tells the latest issue of Teen Vogue , but she isn’t in a place where she wants to be dating anyone right now. “I need to not be in a relationship for a while because I need to be okay with being alone first,” Lovato says. “I’m really happy right now. I never thought it was possible to be happy because of how depressed I was my entire life. But I feel so incredible. It’s like I’m living in a dream.” We’re so happy to hear that! Elsewhere in the interview, Lovato discusses The X Factor and the importance of her friends. A couple excerpts: On serving as a mentor : “There’s so much more to it than just being a talented singer. I’m going to help them mentally prepare for everything that’s coming… The second I became more centered and aware of who I am, my performances got better, and I was better able to relate to people. On the personal affecting the professional : “For a long time, I was pretending to be someone that I wasn’t, and I was miserable. When I came out and said, ‘I’m human, I’ve got problems, but I’m willing to share them,’ that’s when I started to really connect. I’ve just begun working on my fourth album, and I want to do that in my music too. I’m tired of songs that don’t have much emotion in them.” On her loved ones : “I’m consistently busy, but I make sure I spend a lot of time with my friends and family. I did kind of a friend cleanse right after rehab, where I weeded out people who didn’t have my best interests at heart. Now I have friends who love me for who I am and don’t care about what I’m doing. Most of them aren’t in the industry. Some of them don’t even know my songs!”
