Poor Lil Banger: Scarlett Johansson Admits She Is Still Hurtin’ Over Divorce From Ryan Reynolds

Scarlett Johansson Speaks About Divorce From Ryan Reynolds Poor thang! One of our favorite Hollyweird bangers, Scarlett Johansson recently admitted she still has bouts of grief and loneliness over losing her hubby Ryan Reynolds. Although the Avengers actress, 27, has dated other men after her late 2010 divorce from Ryan Reynolds — including Sean Penn and, currently, NYC ad exec Nate Naylor — the stunning star tells the May issue of Vogue that she’s still hurting from the end of her two-year marriage. Johansson calls the breakup “comically amicable,” but clarifies that it was still “horrible . . . Of course it’s horrible. It was devastating. It really throws you. You think that your life is going to be one way, and then, for various reasons or whatever, it doesn’t work out.” She muses that divorce is “like the loneliest thing you’ll ever do, in some way.” And while Johansson says she now feels “relative peace,” she confides to Vogue that the split from Safe House star Reynolds, 35, who has rebounded with Blake Lively, still gives her grief. “I don’t feel on the other side of it completely, but it gets better,” she says. “It’s still there. More than anything, it’s just that not having your buddy around all the time is weird. There’s no rule book. I think it’s just time.” Johansson is less descriptive when talking about her rebound romance with Penn, 51, with whom she was involved for five months last year. “We spent time together, yeah,” she admits. “I never put a title on it, really, but we were seeing each other.” Regardless, she and the Oscar winner/humanitarian are on excellent terms. “He’s a remarkable person . . . He really is.” It’s okay ScarJo, we’ll give you some lovin’! Source More On Bossip! Whitney Houston’s ‘Sparkle’ Trailer Debuts

We finally get a glimpse of singer/actress’ final performance. By Fallon Prinzivalli Whitney Houston in “Sparkle” Photo: Sony Pictures The trailer for Whitney Houston ‘s “Sparkle” debuted Monday (April 2), giving fans a sneak peek at the singer/actress’ final performance. The first glimpse of Houston in the trailer shows her character, Emma, dancing to the Motown music her daughters are playing in the living room, sung by one Cee Lo Green. Houston jokes, “Yeah, y’all like that, huh? Makes you want to dance, huh? I’m going to get it and you will too. Keep dancing like that, you’ll bring home some kid you can’t feed.” The humor continues as her daughters jump into bed together to hide from Emma after arriving home after their curfew. “My babies,” she says. “I know y’all don’t love each other that much.” As the trailer progresses, the comedy dims and the weight of fame takes its toll. On the precipice of getting a record deal, Emma is hesitant to let her daughters pursue music as a career. She says, “Was my life not enough of a cautionary tale for you?” And while the sisters cope with the spotlight, one deals with an abusive marriage that may force her to abandon her dream. The trailer shows a preview of a performance that will leave fans amazed, while at the same time feeling the great loss the music industry suffered with Houston’s death. Co-star Derek Luke shared his thoughts on Houston’s last performance when MTV News spoke to him at the Independent Spirit Awards. “The beautiful thing about being in ‘Sparkle’ is that we had something that was recorded that I can hold onto, and in that time, me and my wife and Whitney … the other cast, we really bonded,” he said of working with the star. “Whitney did an amazing job, so I can’t wait for people to see it and there’s no great way to go out, but what a performance she had.” The movie centers on three talented sisters who deal with the struggles of fame after they form a musical group. Houston not only starred in the remake of the 1976 Irene Cara film, but was executive producer as well. “It was definitely her baby,” Jordin Sparks told Entertainment Weekly about Houston’s role in “Sparkle.” Sparks stars as Sparkle Williams, the title role. “Even before she passed I wanted to be able to represent this movie in a way that would honor her and respect her, because she worked so hard on it. With her passing, it’s definitely been a lot more pressure.” From the looks of the trailer, she has nothing to be nervous about. We think Whitney Houston would’ve been very proud. “Sparkle” is scheduled to hit theaters on August 17. Kanye West: Big Sean Will Be ‘Best Rapper Of All Time’

After rocking mtvU’s Spring Break at the Palms in Las Vegas, Sean reveals his G.O.O.D. Music mentor’s bold prediction. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Big Sean at 2012 Spring Break Photo: David Becker/ Getty Images Big Sean ‘s bash at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas might have been his first mtvU Spring Break outing, but we’re betting it won’t be his last. After all, Sean told MTV News his mentor, Kanye West , revealed he thinks the Finally Famous MC will eventually rank as the best rapper of all time. After rocking the Palms’ poolside stage with “Do It,” “Marvin & Chardonnay” and “Dance (A$$),” the Detroit MC told MTV News, “It’s just cool as hell, period, because I used to look at all the Spring Break performances when I was coming up. To be doing it myself, I can’t even be more thankful.” While his Palms party automatically ranked as Sean’s favorite, he also recalled an unforgettable run in Miami. “Besides this one, I went down to Miami one year,” Sean said. “Drinks, mixed with girls, mixed with Detroit players — that’s a crazy combo.” As far as how one might deal with those next-day hangovers, Big Sean advised, “Don’t worry about the morning after. It’ll make the night that much better.” For the hardworking G.O.O.D. Music rapper, we’re sure the break came in handy. Not only does he have the G.O.O.D. Music compilation dropping sometime this year, Sean is also planning to release his sophomore LP. “My album’s coming this summer. I can probably say at the latest at the end of August. I got Tyga on there. I got, of course, ‘Ye on there,” he revealed. Somewhere in between all those sessions is when Kanye made his bold and surprising prediction: “I’m here kickin’ with ‘Ye,” Sean recalled, “and ‘Ye tellin’ me I’m gonna be the best rapper of all time.” Related Videos 2012 mtvU Spring Break Performances Artists Celebrate Spring Break 2012 Related Photos Spring Break 2012 | Live Performances Related Artists Big Sean Kanye West

‘Secret Life’ Star Shailene Woodley Talks ‘Ups And Downs’ Of Season Four

Golden Globe-nominated actress also opens up about when she might be looking for her next movie role. By Christina Garibaldi Shailene Woodley Photo: MTV News Shailene Woodley has certainly been living a dream for the past few months. For her role in “The Descendents,” the young star not only got to play opposite George Clooney, but she was nominated for a Golden Globe and won an Independent Spirit Award. Not bad for her first movie role. And even though Woodley has had a few weeks to recover, she revealed she is still in awe of all the glitz and glamour that went into attending the big events. “Every single night you’d be at a different venue, every day you’d be at some fancy brunch, lunch or something and you’d be there and there’d be different lamp shades, different curtains, but you’d be sitting at the same table with the same exact people.” Woodley told MTV News. “So it was kind of great and you get to know everyone. It became a little family that migrated to different areas.” Woodley is now gearing up for the fourth season of her hit ABC Family series, “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” Last season left off with Woodley’s character, Amy, accepting the proposal of her boyfriend and baby’s father, Ricky. Woodley admits that the couple will face some unexpected challenges as they deal with domestic life. “There’s a lot of ups and down,” Woodley said. “I mean, she’s living with Ricky full time, so I think anybody who is confined to a small space, there might be some disputes, they might be a little bit tormented by each other for a while. And they have a 2-year-old son, so I think just the drama and the hardships of raising a child at any age, but specifically as a 17- and 18-year-old, there’s a lot of difficulty in that, but they find a way to make it through it.” Will the newly engaged couple find themselves walking down the aisle soon? “I think definitely in the future. I don’t know about this season, they are in the future,” Woodley said. “There’s a lot of pressure on Amy coming from Ricky and her family as well to get married and to set a date. And for Amy, she really likes having the ring on her finger, I think for her it was a control thing. … She’s really in no rush to move on to anything big.” And it seems Woodley is in no rush to move on to her next movie role. The young actress is patiently waiting for the right script to come along. “I would love to do another movie, but until I read something I’m necessarily super passionate about I’m not going to jump in the wave and do a movie now,” Woodley said. “But I’d rather do a small, small role in an amazing movie than a big role in a not so great movie.” Are you excited for the season premiere of “Secret Life”? ‘American Idol’ A ‘Constant Struggle’ For Erika Van Pelt

‘I think a lot of your fate rides on what sort of light [the judges] shed on you,’ latest castoff tells MTV News. By Christina Garibaldi Photo: FOX “American Idol” fans might still be scratching their heads as to why Erika Van Pelt was sent home on last week’s episode. With a brand-new makeover , the singer took on Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind” and received mostly positive feedback from the judges, so when she was eliminated, it not only shocked fans, but Van Pelt as well. “I’ve been in the bottom [for] four consecutive weeks. I wasn’t surprised at that. Getting eliminated, I felt a little robbed, I can’t lie,” she told MTV News on Monday (March 26). “Everything happens for a reason.” Looking back at her time on “Idol,” Van Pelt said she felt “confused” by the judges’ remarks , especially for her latest performance, and feels that their changing critiques may have swayed voters. “I think a lot of your fate rides on what sort of light [the judges] shed on you,” Van Pelt said. “For me, I was doing ‘New York State of Mind,’ which is a ballad, and every time Billy Joel has ever performed it, he’s been sitting behind a piano, he’s not dancing around, and [Jennifer Lopez] made some comments about me planting my feet. I just wasn’t feeling it. I don’t feel like I need to jump around to sing. There are a few other contestants on the show that do nothing but stand there and sing, and they don’t say anything to them. [At] the very least, they get standing O’s, and they like that. I just felt it was a constant struggle for me.” Yet Van Pelt doesn’t feel like she was the only contestant receiving contradicting feedback week after week. “There are a lot of really great performers,” Van Pelt said. “Even my personal favorites have gotten some really sort of questionable feedback. I thought their performances were great, and they’d get slammed by the judges. It’s a weird thing. I feel like you never really know.” This summer, Van Pelt will join the other top 10 contestants on tour, where she said she will finally be able to show fans who she really is. “I felt like I was kind of kept in a box a little bit,” Van Pelt said of her time on “Idol.” “It’s just reality, just the structure of the show didn’t allow me to show who I really am as an artist. I have a lot of facets, and I’ve felt like they may have pegged me as this one thing and pushed me in that one direction, but I got a lot going on.” Were you surprised Erika was eliminated? American Idol Results: Who Got the Chop?

American Idol pared its field down to nine singers this week. Following their performances Wednesday night, DeAndre Brackensick and Heejun Han seemed destined for the bottom three on tonight’s results show. Did they land there? And who else ended up on the block? The dreaded bottom three did indeed come down to the aforementioned two gentlemen, as many predicted, along with Erika Van Pelt, with the judges indicating right off the bat that they would not be saving any of the above. Rough! When the results were read, the fewest number of votes went to… Erika Van Pelt! Yes, America actually preferred DeAndre Brackensick and Heejun Han. The viewers of this show really don’t like female singers, huh? She had been a staple in the bottom three, but after a total makeover and a strong performance this week, many felt she would be in the clear. Erika just didn’t connect with enough voters to stay on Idol , though, leaving DeAndre and Heejun to fight another week … possibly the last for one of them. Check back Friday for continued coverage of the show, including fallout from this week’s elimination and video of Lana Del Rey’s performance? What did you think of the results? Did Erika deserve to go?
