After weeks of hype, teases and buildup, Katy Perry has released her epic music video for “Roar.” Amazingly, she may have met expectations with this fun Tarzan-themed effort. It certainly doesn’t lack for production value, or visual stimulation. “Roar” is undoubtedly the “champion” video she promised. Which we do. And we are not afraid to admit this. In a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video, Katy discussed her budding relationship with Ripley, the beloved primate who co-stars in it. “We are just kind of becoming friends,” she said. “I’ve met him along the way … because unfortunately I was in a bit of a plane crash, and my boyfriend got eaten by the tiger, who I’ll have to face off with at the very end.” Foreshadowing for John Mayer ?
