Katy Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream’ Video: Watch A Steamy Sneak Peek!

In the 30-second teaser, Perry dances and locks lips in her California hometown. By James Dinh Katy Perry in the video for “Teenage Dream” In Katy Perry’s last music video, for “California Gurls,” she played a female voyager avoiding Gummi Bears, laying nude on cotton-candy clouds and making her way through what she called “Candyfornia.” But her follow-up music video, for “Teenage Dream,” will bring the singer back to her California hometown as she ventures on a sunny road trip with her lover and friends. In a 30-second teaser, Perry appears as carefree as ever in a dancing, lip-locking montage throughout locations in Santa Barbara, California. Whether it’s basking in the sun of her blue Cadillac as her love interest (played by Josh Kloss) drives next to a carful of laughing friends or getting steamy with Kloss as he pushes her into a hotel bed, the clip’s teaser resonates with the song’s feel-good melody. Katy and friends decide to skip the swimwear and visit a beach as they shed their clothes and dance the afternoon away. Directed by Yoann Lemoine, the video — which premieres Tuesday — was shot in mid-July. Perry cast some of her real-life friends in the clip. She took to Twitter to talk about the “gorgeous” shoot. “Cut, copy, print, moving on! That’s a wrap for Teenage Dream! So gorgeous, I really can’t wait to see what [director] Yoann Lemoine makes of it all!!!” she tweeted. “In my hometown. I got to cast all my friends in the new music vid for Teenage Dream = amazing insanity.” Last month, Perry spoke to MTV News about the track and explained that she had flashbacks of young innocence when writing the song. “I wrote that song in Santa Barbara, and it was a very pure moment for me, because that’s where I’m from,” she told MTV News. “And it was, like, where I started my creative juices. And also it kind of exudes this euphoric feeling, because everybody remembers what their teenage dreams were — all the girls that were on your poster walls.” This isn’t the first teaser Team Katy has provided: She uploaded an lyric YouTube video with various shots from the clip . Katy Perry Says Mixing Sex And Religion Makes ‘Bad Things Happen’

‘I am sensitive to … Lady Gaga putting a rosary in her mouth,’ singer tells Rolling Stone. By James Dinh Katy Perry Photo: Mike Marsland/ WireImage Despite her recent skin-baring spreads for magazines like Esquire and even her own Teenage Dream album cover , Katy Perry says she’s still modest about some things. In the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone, the California Gurl takes a bold stance against what she describes as inappropriate use of religious imagery and reveals why her debut single, “I Kissed a Girl,” was not a contradiction of her religious upbringing. “I am sensitive to Russell taking the Lord’s name in vain and to Lady Gaga putting a rosary in her mouth,” she says in the August 19 issue. “I think when you put sex and spirituality in the same bottle and shake it up, bad things happen.” This isn’t the first time that Perry has taken a stab at Lady Gaga. After the premiere in June of Gaga’s “Alejandro” video, which features the singer seemingly swallowing a rosary whole, Perry tweeted, “Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke.” Perry later backtracked somewhat from the tweet , saying her anger wasn’t directed solely at Gaga. “What’s funny is that everybody was assuming I was directing it completely towards her, and if I was directing something I would write their ‘@,’ ” she told a French radio station. “Lately, I’ve just been seeing some things that are kind of like, I don’t know, in my own personal feelings, a little bit like not something I would do, I guess.” For those who are raising an eyebrow at Perry, a pop star who has participated in her share of provocative photo shoots and videos — her “California Gurls” wardrobe includes a whipped-cream cone bra — she fired back a few words in response, telling Rolling Stone, “Yes, I said I kissed a girl. But I didn’t say I kissed a girl while f—ing a crucifix.” What do you think about Katy’s stance on sex and spirituality in pop music? Sound off in the comments! Beach Boys’ Label Threatens Suit Over Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’

Threat comes after both writers of the original ‘California Girls’ praised Perry’s song. By Gil Kaufman Katy Perry Photo: Alberto E. Rodriguez/ WireImage Katy Perry is having an epic summer thanks to her smash hit “California Gurls,” which has sold more than 3 million copies already and topped the singles charts for weeks. But the soon-to-be-wed pop star and Rolling Stone cover girl may end up sharing some of the proceeds from that track with the pop icons who first sang the praises of West Coast beauties. According to the New York Post , representatives for the Beach Boys are threatening to sue Perry for including the classic line “I wish they all could be California girls” in her tune. The line is lifted from the Boys’ 1965 rock classic “California Girls,” and the paper reported that publishing reps at the Boys’ Rondor Music have sent a letter to Perry’s label demanding that the original song’s writers, Mike Love and Brian Wilson, be given a writing credit on “Gurls” as well as a share of royalties. Spokespeople for Perry and the Beach Boys could not be reached for comment by MTV News at press time. An unnamed recording industry source reportedly told the paper: “Rondor Music has sent a letter to Capitol on behalf of Mike Love and Brian Wilson, saying Katy has cribbed one of the most famous lyrics in history, so Love and Wilson should be entitled to a writing credit and a portion of the royalties.” The iconic line is rapped by Snoop Dogg near the end of Perry’s song (“California girls, man/ I wish they all could be California Girls”), which, ironically, was recently praised by Love. “The subject matter is still in vogue — just ask Katy Perry. I think the part she did is pretty cool. There are a lot of writers on it, and I think it’s probably a stroke of genius to have the king of canine cool, Mr. [Snoop] Dogg, do his thing. But I think her creative part, her musical part, is pretty hooky. I think it brings the Beach Boys’ 1965 classic to mind, that’s for sure,” Love told Billboard. Wilson has called the song “infectious.” Sources reportedly told the Post that Wilson and Love asked Rondor to send the letter, but spokespeople for the musicians said it was Rondor’s decision. “Rondor owns the track and called Brian and Mike, saying they were going to complain. Brian likes Katy’s record and doesn’t know where the situation stands,” according to Wilson’s rep, while Love’s rep added, “Mike and Brian wrote the song … but any legal action is up to Rondor.” Related Photos Concept Art For Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ Related Artists Katy Perry The Beach Boys

By Jocelyn Vena Josh Kloss and Katy Perry on the set of her “Teenage Dream” music video Photo: Eric Ford/Danny Mayer/ On Location News Katy Perry has made it known that she wants to be “one of those … teenage wet dreams,” and her “California Gurls” video has certainly set the bar high for the singer, who is set to release her new album, Teenage Dream, next month. So for “Teenage Dream,” the album’s second single, Perry headed to the beach. In photos taken from the video shoot for the title track, Perry is seen canoodling with a hot guy in a hotel pool in her hometown of Santa Barbara, California. The guy is rumored to be actor Josh Kloss. In another still, leaked online , a bikini-clad Perry is kneeling in the sand, looking up at a scantily clad man, presumably Kloss. Perry tweeted about the clip as well, writing , “Cut, copy, print, moving on! That’s a wrap for Teenage Dream! So gorgeous, I really can’t wait to see what [director] Yoann Lemoine makes of it all!!! In my hometown. I got to cast all my friends in the new music vid for Teenage Dream = amazing insanity.” Previewed at a listening party last month, the radio-friendly title track picks up right where “California Gurls” leaves off. With a strong beat to back her up, Perry sings about a boy who makes her feel like a teenager again. “I wrote that song in Santa Barbara and it was a very pure moment for me, because that’s where I’m from,” she told MTV News in early June. “And it was, like, where I started my creative juices. And also it kind of exudes this euphoric feeling because everybody remembers what their teenage dreams were — all the girls that were on your poster walls.” Are you excited to see the new video from Katy Perry? Katy Perry Compares Miley Cyrus to Britney Spears

Last month, Miley Cyrus compared herself to Britney Spears . Now, Katy Perry has gone ahead and done the same thing – but with a very different meaning behind it. According to Life & Style , Perry caught a glimpse of Miley’s outfits at the 2010 MuchMusic Awards and said to a friend: “Oh my God, poor girl… She’s Britney Spears all over again. It’s happening right before our eyes… she’s definitely headed the Britney route. It’s worse. Look at those outfits. It’s bad.” We’ve been saying the same thing for weeks, of course… but we don’t go around posing for Esquire like this . Makes it a bit tough for Perry to present her case, doesn’t it? Meanwhile, Cyrus joined Dolly Parton on stage for a duet outside Knoxville this weekend. She actually sounded great, making her current image that much more frustrating. As you can see below, when Miley sings country and wears clothing, she’s a quality artist: Miley and Dolly

Katy Perry Says She’s Tamed ‘Professional Prostitute’ Russell Brand

‘He’s an extremist, which can be both good and bad,’ singer says of her fiance in the August issue of Esquire U.K. By Jocelyn Vena Katy Perry and Russell Brand Photo: Jeffrey Mayer/ WireImage While Katy Perry appears topless on the cover of the U.K. edition of Esquire, it’s what she says on the inside that may have everyone talking. In the magazine’s August issue, Perry opens up about her relationship with bad-boy comedian Russell Brand , noting that she tamed him. “He used to basically be a professional prostitute — now he’s not. So he’s an extremist, which can be both good and bad,” she says, according to Huffingtonpost.com . “I always needed someone stronger than me. And I am, like, a f—ing strong elephant of a women. I say that, hopefully, in the humblest way I can.” And it may have been her incredibly strong personality that made the pair fall almost instantly in love with one another. “I was 25, 30 feet away from him. And I threw the bottle straight at him: hit him smack dab on the head. Can you imagine the horrible feeling he had, when he was used to getting everything he wanted? I was like, ‘You’ve met your match, motherf—er.’ A week later we went on vacation in Thailand,” she explained, adding, “I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I am you. You are me.’ Two divas in one house. It’s like splitting the atom. It shouldn’t happen.” Perry also discussed working with Snoop Dogg on her hit single “California Gurls,” saying, “I was thinking to myself how perfect it would be to have a California anthem. I can’t let the Beach Boys down. I can’t let Tupac down. I had the idea to put Snoop on — I thought he would be the cherry on top, and it would make me look cooler.” And working with Snoop allowed Perry the chance to partake in one of the rapper’s alleged favorite pastimes. “I was scared for my life to get off the hookah. Everyone else is smoking everything else. I was saying to myself, ‘If that sh– still gets Snoop high, if I breathe it in I will die. I will be on a permanent balloon.’ I was like, ‘Hold on to the hookah.’ ” What do you think of Perry’s comments about fianc

“I#39;m like, #39;Oh my God, I am you. You are me,#39; ” Katy Perry says about fiancé Russell Brand in the August issue of Esquire. What do an outspoken comedian and an unconventional pop star have in common? Just about everything. But having a partner who#39;s so much like her doesn#39;t exactly mean there#39;s going to be total harmony in the relationship – because, as Perry, 25, blatantly puts it, “[we are] two divas in one house.” “It#39;s like splitting the atom: it shouldn#39;t happen,”
