Selena Gomez Punched in the Face By Justin Beiber Fan?

Was Selena Gomez punched in the face by a Justin Bieber fan? Unnamed sources across the internet are claiming this is the case, but we’re pretty sure it didn’t happen. Although Selena Gomez being punched in the face makes for a great story, it just seems a bit unlikely. According to the rumor mill, Selena Gomez was punched in the face by a Justin Bieber fan angry at Gomez for stealing the Biebster. That would be quite a case of Bieber fever. Perhaps a more likely explanation than Selena Gomez being punched in the face is that Gomez simply has a cold sore, also known as the Herpes simplex virus. Outbreaks can occur as a result of stress, such as that coming from dating the biggest teen pop star in the world. That could be the case as well, but let’s face it – it’s going to be pretty difficult to find out exactly what happened. With that in mind, we’ve decided to throw out a few suggestions of our own. # Selena Gomez tripped on a pile of Justin Bieber’s money and split her lip. # Selena Gomez was trying to kiss Justin Bieber and bumped into his ego. # Justin Bieber assaulted Selena Gomez during a game of Laser Tag (he’s been said to do that) # Selena Gomez took T.I.’s suggestion to go “straight to the face” with her drink a bit too literally. # Justin Bieber was too hot for Selena Gomez’s lips to handle. # Selena Gomez got between the Jersey Shore cast and an open bar during happy hour. Living in the Land of Make Believe: Justin Beiber Fever, but is it the Fans Who Are Sick?

*Justin Beiber was just 14 years old when he was discovered. With his adorable smile, humble attitude and “mop” styled hair adored by young girl’s everywhere, he was to become “the next big thing.” Well, for the last two years, Justin has won the hearts of children, tweens, teens, young people and many more up the age ladder. While most other teenagers were gaming, toiling over which outfit to wear to school to keep their “cool” status and hoping that the girl or boy they like, likes them back, Justin has been singularly focused for the last two years on work. Hard work. It was just in 2009 that his debut single, “ One Time ” was released worldwide. The single hit its height in the top ten in Canada. The release of My World , followed in the fall of 2009, and was ultimately certified platinum in the United States. He’s been on fire ever since. It is clear from the teenage female fans that it is Beiber or bust. While he has been criticized for his popularity, he is highly regarded by many and considered a “teen idol.” I have to admit that his boyish face and seemingly humble disposition makes him hard not to like. The ultimate confession is that I have his music on my iPod (don’t judge me). Justin’s gift of himself and visibility to his fans is appearing to backfire. With each teenage girl believing that they could one day play the supporting role in Justin’s life, it was a blow to their hearts and egos when he was recently seen walking and kissing Selena Gomez, who is two years his senior. The fans took their pain to the ether and let loose posting death threats and other hurtful messages about Selena on Twitter and other blog sites. Unfortunately, Justin’s commitment to his fans circled back to bite him in the bum. I think if the fans of other teen idols like Michael Jackson and David Cassidy could have tweeted when they were rumored to be dating, we may have seen similar behavior. What would cause these teenagers to act in such a manner? Outside of raging hormones, that is. I believe that Justin’s visibility without a “girl X” by his side for these last two years led young fans to believe he would always be available to them. Then, he chooses someone they do not approve of. She may not be the “wholesome” match for the Beibs that would have for him. Most importantly Selena is not them. In addition and unfortunately, the internet is a great place for people to put their pain without any future guilt of watching the insult land on the eyes and hearts of the person it was directed towards. We watched this ugly scenario play out when Phoebe Prince in Massachusetts committed suicide in 2010 because of the relentless online bullying that was unleashed on her. We have to get these teens out of the Land of Make Believe. Monica Cost is communications strategist, brand manager and respected corporate and motivational speaker. Adele Says 21 Has People Thinking ‘I’m Sort Of A Manic-Depressive’

But the British sensation, whose album hits stores in the U.S. on Tuesday, says she just writes somber songs. By James Montgomery Adele’s 21 Photo: Columbia Records Adele is sitting 29 floors above Times Square, eyes tilted toward the ceiling as a makeup artist dabs away, lamenting her early morning (she performed Friday, February 18, on the “Today” show) and laughing that her handlers are trying to kill her. “I’m not allowed any caffeine, because it dehydrates the throat, and I had laryngitis about a month and a half ago, so I’ve had to cut all these things out to make sure it doesn’t happen again,” she smiles, turning her head toward her publicist. “So I had to get up at 10 to 4, go over to the [‘Today’] studio, and while everyone else was drinking their delicious black coffee, everyone was doing Starbucks runs, and I was asking for hot water. It was so boring.” And it’s a bit of a shame that Adele, now 22 and two years removed from her upset wins at the 51st Grammy Awards , is being denied coffee, because she certainly needs it. On Tuesday, she’ll release her sophomore album, the jaw-dropping 21 (so named because it reflected her very tumultuous 21st year on earth) here in the States. Thanks to a tidal wave of critical acclaim — and stirring singles like “Rolling in the Deep” — she has already been tipped as the year’s can’t-miss act. She recently filmed an episode of VH1’s “Unplugged,” and in May, she’ll launch a full-blown tour of the U.S. But for right now, she’s enjoying the moment (even without caffeine), delighting in the reviews she’s gotten here in the U.S. (“In the States, even a bad review is like a five-star U.K. review,” she laughs) and trying very hard not to believe the hype — which, if you know anything about her, is a lot easier than you might think. “I think people think I’m, like, sort of a manic-depressive. I think they think I’m very somber and very moody and take myself very seriously, but I think that’s just because [of] the kind of records I write,” she says. “But also, like, everyone is a bit moody and somber sometimes, just that I write about mine, so therefore it’s magnified. I’m no more depressed than any other 21-, 22 year-old-girl when someone leaves them, you know?” And it should be noted that she has absolutely no problem discussing that depression, which came at the end of a relationship with a man “who meant everything to her” and influenced just about every aspect of 21, from kiss-offs like “Deep” and “Rumour Has It” to heartbreaking album-closer “Someone Like You.” “Well, I wrote that song because I was exhausted from being such a bitch, with ‘Rolling in the Deep’ or ‘Rumor Has It,’ ” she laughs. “I was really emotionally drained from the way I was portraying him, because even though I’m very bitter and regret some parts of it, he’s still the most important person that’s ever been in my life, and ‘Someone Like You,’ I had to write it to feel OK with myself and OK with the two years I spent with him. And when I did it, I felt so freed.” Empowered by that freedom, she was able to return to her (relatively) normal life, one that, despite the accolades and the chart-topping success back home in the U.K. (and most of Europe), she says isn’t all that different from any other 22-year-old’s existence, despite what you might have gathered from her music. “Whenever I meet anyone, whether it’s someone I’m working with or a fan or something, they can never link me with the person they think I am,” she says. “But I like that. I’m 22, I’m sarcastic, very boisterous and cheeky. I like to have a bit of a joke.” Are you looking forward to Adele’s new album? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Adele

Justin Bieber Won’t Have Sex Without Love

The 16-year-old also says he isn’t tempted to do drugs in the new issue of Rolling Stone. By Nuzhat Naoreen Justin Bieber on the March 2011 cover of Rolling Stone Photo: Terry Richardson/ Wenner Media Sex, drugs, and rock and roll. As one of the biggest pop stars in the world, Justin Bieber ‘s right in the thick of it. In the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone magazine — which is already causing a buzz due to comments Bieber made about abortion in the interview — the pop star opens up about where he stands on premarital sex and the temptation to take drugs, while also inadvertently providing some insight into the speculation surrounding his relationship with actress Selena Gomez . At 16 years old, Bieber, who has no shortage of female admirers, says he’s aware that many people have sex without love, but that it’s not for him. “I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them,” Bieber said. When asked about premarital sex, however, he was a little vaguer. “I think you should just wait for the person you’re … in love with.” Bieber also opened up about what kind of girls he’s interested in. “I like a girl with a nice smile and who’s funny,” he said. “As far as looks, my taste is dark hair. But I don’t limit myself. I like girls with blond hair too. I like everything.” While Bieber has yet to confirm whether or not he’s dating Gomez, Rolling Stone reporter Vanessa Grigoriadis notes in her profile that she caught a peek of his computer background, which was a picture of him and Gomez against an orange sunset. His manager Scooter Braun told the magazine that the young star is “absolutely girl-crazy.” “Not that he goes after tons of girls, but if there’s a girl he wants to see and he feels that we’re not respecting that, he will make our lives hell to see her,” Braun said. As for other temptations that he might face during his career, Bieber, who is a huge Michael Jackson fan, said he wants to avoid falling into the same pitfalls as his idol. Namely, when it comes to drugs, which he said he has no interest in trying. “Are you curious about cutting off your finger? Do you want to know what that feels like?” Bieber reasoned. “To me, taking drugs is the same type of thing. In the end, all that happens is you get hurt by it.” The full interview with Bieber hits newsstands on Friday. Related Videos MTV Rough Cut: Justin Bieber Related Artists Justin Bieber
