If you caught it last month, you know that the reclusive rocker guest starred and performed a song titled “FALLINLOVE2NITE” with Zooey Deschanel. The song marked the occasion where Deschanel’s character, Jess Day, and boyfriend Nick Miller (Jake Johnson) exchange I love you’s for the first time. Prince and Deschanel also recorded a full-length version, which the Purple One released this week. While written mostly for laughs, it’s totally a real song: Prince ft. Zooey Deschanel – FALLINLOVE2NITE The single is now available via all major digital retailers and is being pushed to radio by Epic Records’ promotion team, which is pretty hilarious. Funny as it is, Zooey is also a serious musician. The 34-year-old L.A.-born actress is an accomplished singer-songwriter who’s recorded albums and toured as half of indie-pop duo She & Him. Collaborating with Prince might be a career highlight for her, though. Not to mention borrowing from his personal closet while in character as Jessica. Who doesn’t wanna “FALLINLOVE2NITE”?!
Earlier today, Teresa Giudice pleaded guilty to a series of fraud charges. According to various reports, she now faces 21 to 27 months behind bars, while husband Joe Giudice – who also pleaded guilty inside a Newark courthouse – could be in jail for up to 46 months. Not long after arriving at this plea bargain, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star released a statement. “Today, I took responsibility for a series of mistakes I made several years ago,” Giudice said. “I have said throughout that I respect the legal process and thus I intend to address the court directly at sentencing. “I will describe the choices I made, continue to take responsibility for my decisions, and express my remorse to Judge Salas and the public.” Teresa and Joe will be sentenced on an unannounced date. The Giudices, meanwhile, are parents to four daughters: Gia, 13, Gabriella, 11, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 5. “I am heartbroken that this is affecting my family — especially my four young daughters, who mean more to me than anything in the world,” Teresa added. “Beyond this, I do not intend to speak specifically about the case outside of court, at the recommendation of my attorney and out of deference to the government and our legal system.” But Teresa is attuned to the outside world, despite her personal woes. Prior to heading to court on Tuesday, Teresa Tweeted her congratulations to Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes, who is part of the Dancing With the Stars Season 18 cast . “Congrats @NeNeLeakes on DWTS!” Giudice wrote. “Can’t wait to watch you. Until recently, you knew them only as red carpet plus-ones for their famous parents — but now they’ve launched their own careers as models. We’ve got a look at Foxx’s modeling debut for accessories line Icing, and the 20-year-old gives us all the exclusive scoop on her first-ever photoshoot, which included an on-set visit from dad Jamie, who brought her lunch. Foxx tells PEOPLE that she had a blast on set, and learned a ton too. “A lot of people think that modeling is just about looking pretty, but there is definitely a lot more thought and work that goes into it,” she says of the Palm Springs, Calif. shoot. “I had so much fun on set, but by the end of the day, I was exhausted. My favorite part was definitely all the prepping. We changed my hair, makeup, outfit and jewelry at least five times a day!” Her favorite beauty look from the set was “these really pretty French braids … I’m a terrible braider but I’ve been trying to re-create that look and I’ve been getting pretty close. YouTube tutorials videos are surprisingly helpful!” she says. As for the jewelry she wanted to nab? “I fell in love with the ‘tanklette’ – it’s a toe ring/anklette. I did not want to take it off at the end of the shoot; luckily I got to take it home with some other cool pieces.” She’s already got those model perks down! “Corinne was a breath of fresh air. Her energy and overall spirit made the shoot even better,” says Dawnyell Bowen, Icing’s global brand director. “Her personal style and ability to turn heads was very attractive to us. She is a beautiful young lady and our jewelry and accessories looked fantastic on her. Ugandan Newspaper Publishes Identities Of “Top 200 Homos” In The Country The Ugandan community has been making national headlines lately as a result of their very public anti-gay rhetoric as a country, which reached its’ peak thus far yesterday when Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni officially signed the “Anti-Homosexuality Act” into law. Now, one day after the signing a Ugandan newspaper has released a list of the top 200 gay people in the country, all but urging resident who see anyone on the list to bring them to “justice.” via Gawker If you were curious about the practical implications of Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Act, signed yesterday by President Yoweri Museveni, look no further than its Red Pepper newspaper, which has published the identities of what it deems the country’s “200 Top Homos” on its cover. If you thought the law banning gay sex would exist only in the realm of gay sex, you were wrong. This is a war on gay people. Red Pepper’s move is similar to that of a now defunct paper called Rolling Stone (no relation to the U.S. music magazine), which published a list of Uganda’s “Top 100 Homos” in 2010. It was a call to action: “Hang Them” read the issue’s cover. About three months later, Ugandan activist David Kato who was among the paper’s Top 100, was bludgeoned to death. In response, Rolling Stone publisher Giles Muhame said, “This looks like any other crime. I have no regrets about the story. We were just exposing people who were doing wrong.” In the 2012 documentary Call Me Kuchu, which details the struggles of the LGBT community in Uganda, Muhame giggles as he discusses his paper’s detrimental outings (there was a followup a few weeks later, which identified 10 more Ugandan gays). Regardless of your personal beliefs with regard to the LGBT community, no human being deserves to be physically harmed or brutally ridiculed for they way the choose to live their personal lives, which most likely what’s coming next following the release of this “list”. Towanda set the record straight , once and for all. This season of “Braxton Family Values” has been markedly different for Towanda Braxton, who came across fairly level headed and generous on the show, even while wrestling with marital issues and the sibling rivalry that the Braxton ladies are known for. But this time around she’s shown a different side, even drawing some criticism recently after she responded to Twitter ribbing from Tamar fans by pointing out her brother-in-law Vince’s rumored financial problems . She’s also been under the microscope for keeping company with Kordell Stewart , whose acrimonious divorce from “Real Housewives of Atlanta’s” Porsha Williams has made him a tabloid regular. With the finale of “Braxton Family Values” airing Thursday, Towanda sat down exclusively with BOSSIP to set the record straight. BOSSIP: With the third season ending tonight, would you say the show brought you closer or caused more problems? Towanda Braxton: It allowed us not to sweep things under the rug anymore. It allowed us to look at the real situations and actually deal with them. Quite often in families, not just African-American families either, we tend to sweep things under the rug like “We’ll deal with it later.” But not now. Now we have to deal with them. How are things with you and Tamar now? We’re good. I absolutely love my sister even though there are moments of us not getting along. I think everyone has a season of not getting along, and it just so happened this was our season. Last year it was her and Traci. It’s always Tamar and someone right? All of our lives it’s been that way. Tamar and Trina, Tamar and Towanda, Tamar and Toni, Tamar and Traci, Tamar and Mikey so… That just comes with the territory about being the baby. We love the family dynamic, but it seems like Tamar doesn’t take kindly to teasing from you guys. Tamar is rotten! Love Tamar, but she’s rotten. We created that. We allowed her to say whatever she wanted to say and do whatever she wanted to do that now that we’re trying to create boundaries, she’s like, ‘No, why you trying to do that now that we’re grown?’ Usual family rivalry type situations. It eats away at me when she says, cuz she’s the baby, “My family don’t support me.” I’m like don’t say your family doesn’t support you, say your family doesn’t support you the way you would like them to, because when you found out you might not be able to have a kid I volunteered to carry your baby for you. When Vincent was in the hospital and we didn’t know what was going to happen with him I went up to NY and I was like your personal assistant. I wasn’t trying to be nobody personal assistant at that time but because Tamar needed me at that moment I was there. I mean Etc. Etc. Etc. So Sports Illustrated held their big star-studded 50th Anniversary shindig the other night and once again, yours truly wasn’t invited. Even though the only thing I love more than super-hot swimsuit models is an open bar. Anyway, since I was forced to watch from home instead, here’s my personal favorite shot from the telecast, of Marisa Miller . Granted, it’s not as great as getting to see this in person, but it is a lot easier to stare at for five straight minutes without seeming like a giant weirdo. So at least there’s that. Enjoy.
So Nuts Magazine held a party in London last night and invited one of their biggest stars, and my personal favorite busty blonde model, Helen Flanagan . And don’t get me wrong, Helen looks amazing, but was I the only one hoping she’d be wearing lingerie in honor of all the great photoshoots she’s done for the magazine over the years?
