Earlier this week, Bette Midler called Ariana Grande a “whore.” No really, that happened. The 68-year-old music legend offered some career advice to the 21-year-old pop princess by basically telling her to put some clothes on and stop humping furniture in her music videos. Not surprisingly, Ari was less than thrilled with Bette’s unsolicited pro tips. In fact, sources claimed Ariana is a huge fan of Bette’s , and that she was shocked by the insults, as she always saw herself as following in Midler’s footsteps. The singer and the actor’s son attended the birthday party of tattoo artist Dakota Gomez last night. It was held at The Hudson bar in West Hollywood and Gomez posted a snapshot on Instagram of various photo booth participants from the evening. Look closely and you’ll see Miley and Patrick playfully groping each other while squeezing into the tight space with their pals: “To all of you that surprised me last night and came out to celebrate my birthday thankyou,” Gomez wrote as a caption. “Great friends, good food and even better drinks (thankyou @jessebrooke @kevmarciano ) made it a night I will never forget!” Cyrus and Schwarzenegger are clearly going very strong. Earlier this week, we posted a video of a cat trying to jump from the roof of one vehicle through the (closed) window of another vehicle. Needless to say, it did not go well for the feline . But at least that animal actually made it to his destination. The following footage features a ferret (who is wearing a glow-in-the-dark piece of jewelry and apparently hanging out at a home rave) who really wants to leap from the table to the ironing board. He readies himself. He bends his legs a few times. And then he doesn’t come anywhere close to accomplish his goal. Ferret Jump FAIL! SPLAT! Don’t worry, though: we’ve learned the ferret escaped this mishap unharmed. So it’s okay to laugh – and also to wonder: Is this now the worst animal jump on record? Or does the cat who crashed down his car and into the garage still hold that title? At least both animals can take comfort in the fact that they aren’t alone. Jon Gosselin’s former landlord is speaking out in the aftermath of his recent eviction, and suffice it to say, she does not paint a positive picture of the man. Linda Eways, who evicted Jon Gosselin from her house in Wernersville, Pa., says she paid a surprise visit to the property after she thought he’d moved out. And he had … for the most part. He certainly left his mark on the place. Not only did the father of eight leave the house trashed, strewn with garbage and debris with walls and doors damaged from Jon’s dog, he left something behind: A kitten. Yes, the landlord says she discovered a tiny cat abandoned there. Eways says she called Jon to ask about the kitten and he admitted as much. Well, specifically, he said his ex-girlfriend Liz Jannetta (the one he appeared on Couples Therapy with, apparently without a lot of success) left it there. According to earlier reports, Jon’s ex moved out in September, so the kitty was there for at least a few weeks with just Jon if our calendar is correct. Eways says the sight of the poor kitten “broke [her] heart” so she decided to adopt it. In that sense, at least the animal has a loving home now. But wow, Jon. We know times are tough, and being married to Kate Gosselin must have caused him major psychological damage … but come ON. What would his kids think? Ray J and Princess Love have quashed the beef, ending their breakup standoff over their dog and putting aside their differences for the sake of Boogati. The couple’s pet Maltese, Boogati was the center of a major melee and subsequent custody standoff that erupted after Ray J and Princess Love broke up . She told her to pack her things and leave, but did not want to part ways with the three-pound Maltese pup, which she wanted to reunite with their other dogs. Apparently Princess had three furry friends before they got one together, and she claimed they were crushed when they became estranged from Boo. Well, Teairra Mari may want to punch Princess, but Ray J caved for the dog’s sake, because even he started to feel like Boogati became depressed. Now they have been reunited and Coco – who particularly missed his friend – is happy again, and Boog has resumed eating, so all is right in the world. Princess claims she’ll let Ray visit with them whenever he wants, too, so everyone is walking away happier in this scenario and looking ahead to the future. At least until the next fight breaks out. We assume you’re already aware, because despite the fact that Kaley signed a $90 million contract for three more seasons of The Big Bang Theory she’s still just as famous for her Instagram as she is for her acting. And her Instagram is Dog City. Which is cool. Kaley’s an animal lover in general, and she’s done some great work with conservationist organizations, but sometimes she goes a little overboard with her pet love. Take her latest invention, for example: Yup. Dog bibs. “Our idea is sweeping the nation,” Kaley wrote along with hashtags reading, “#SharkTank” and “MillionDollarIdea.” Clearly Kaley is kidding (we hope), so we won’t let the ridiculousness of the dog bibs distract from the larger question which is: Does she really keep her dogs on a vegetarian diet?
