Empire is getting crazier by the week and not in a good way. On Empire Season 3 Episode 6 , the company was hacked, bringing business to a grinding halt and landing the Lyon family in trouble. We picked up with Cookie and Angelo being as cute as ever. In fact, Cookie wanted to show Angelo just how much she valued him as her significant other by sending him a nude picture. Little did she know, it was going to be all over the internet soon after. Yes, Empire got hacked and it threw everything into turmoil. Lucious was completely pissed at the prospect of all of his emails becoming common knowledge and started waving baseball bat around. Come on, it wouldn’t be Lucious if he didn’t threaten people with violence. That’s sort of the only thing the guy can do to get ahead. It’s pretty sad. Right?! Things went into overdrive when a nude picture of Cookie was released to the masses. Whenever there’s a hack, there’s always nude pictures not far behind, so Cookie sending pictures of her goods to Angelo at the top of the hour made it pretty predictable that a hack was around the corner. Tariq and the FBI showed up at Empire to find out what went on, but Tariq made it clear to Lucious that he would be finding out all of his secrets to use against him. The Tariq storyline has been dragged out for too long already. It’s time to send it to the scrap heap and be done with it. The board trying to oust Andre from the board was hilarious. Andre knew what to do to get back on their good side and it was to prove they were all as bad as each other. After the picture was released, Cookie broke things off with Angelo because she thought she was hurting his campaign and knew her past would be dredged up. It was a surprisingly good move for her. She put Angelo’s feelings before her own. There’s something about this couple that just works so well. When Angelo was quizzed about splitting up with Cookie, he stripped off on live TV as a vow of solidarity. It was a good gesture, but I do get the feeling he wanted to show off his ripped body to the masses. When Lucious and Andre quizzed Tiana about some dude who hacked her phone before, they went to his house and had Shine deal with him. Shine did promise to send Lucious some sort of gift from the body, which was fifty shades of disgusting. However, the biggest twist of all came when we got word that Andre Lyon was more like his father than he first realized. He was the one who orchestrated the hack and got someone else to do it, knowing he could swing the blame on the other guy. It was a well thought out plan, but I don’t think the show needs another Lucious Lyon. This could get old real fast, so we might as well enjoy it before it goes stale. It’s time to ditch the guest stars and start telling viewers a coherent story that actually has long-term consequences for the characters. Right now, it feels like the slate has been wiped clean from the previous episode and that’s not doing anything for the flow of the series. There was a time when Empire was appointment TV, but it’s descending into mediocrity and it needs to sort itself out before it is too late. Take Jamal’s storyline. He seems fine for one episode, then this week he’s went completely downhill and overdosed on drugs. The storylines just aren’t meshing very well and it needs to be addressed soon. But here’s the thing: Thompson is having an actual baby with someone else! Any day now! Her name is Jordy Craig and she’s best known as being an Instagram model, having compiled over 271,000 followers on that social media service. It’s unclear just what the status of her relationship with Thompson was when the Cleveland Cavaliers forward started to date Khloe, but it must have been at least somewhat serious. Because Craig is very far along with the power forward’s baby. Back when Thompson and Kardashian first got together, numerous outlets came right out and claimed the former left Craig for Khloe. Scandalous! We cannot confirm or deny those reports, but we can now quote a Life & Style source who says that Craig is pissed at Kardashian these days. She’s in the final stages of her pregnancy and this insider says Thompson barely even pays attention to her during some very important moments. “Tristan would be with Jordy at the doctor’s office and he’d be off in the corner FaceTiming Khloe ,” the magazine explains. “It was absolutely infuriating to Jordy because she could barely get Tristan to focus on the birth of their baby.” Do we really believe that Thompson would be on the phone with Khloe, literally in the corner, while a doctor was examining both his baby mama and his impending baby? Not really. But Thompson does have a packed schedule as a professional athlete. Perhaps it’s hard for him to squeeze in time to catch up. Craig is reporedly unhappy with how Thompson and Khloe have been flaunting their romance, as well. “[Jordy] feels completely disrespected by [Tristan] and Khloe,” the insider says. This is not the first time Khloe has dated an African-American athlete, of course, nor is it the second time. And she’s sick and tired of hearing from racist trolls out there about it. Khloe wrote on Instagram as criticism over her relationship grew louder: “I don’t support racism or discrimination of any kind and I especially don’t understand why some people are still against interracial relationships.” We admire her for taking a stand against such idiots. Do we admire Thompson for leaving his baby mama, if that’s what actually happened? Of course not. Donald Trump has really done it now. Sure, you might think this ignorant, racist, anti-Semitic monster had ruined his chance to be elected President of the United States way back when he referred to Mexicans as “rapists.” Or maybe you thought he doomed himself by picking a fight with a former beauty pageant winner… or telling Billy Bush that he just grabs the pussy of any woman he wants. Or perhaps you believed his Presidential hopes were dashed when 12 women came forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct. But Trump committed his worst offense of all on Saturday: he insulted Beyonce. After Beyonce and Jay Z campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton this weekend, performing a bit prior to bringing the Democratic nominee on stage, Trump told supporters in Nevada that he was aghast of their lyrics. “I’ve never said what [Jay Z] said in my life,” Trump said in his speech, never specifically referring to any of the rapper’s lyrics. “He used every word in the book last night,” Trump continued. “He used language last night that was so bad and then Hillary said, ‘I did not like Donald Trump’s lewd language.’ My lewd language. I tell you what, I’ve never said what he said in my life.” Trump is using a similar argument here that some of his defenders tried out back after the Bully Bush video went viral. He’s claiming that Clinton and other critics of his are hypocritical because he may have used some “locker room” type of language on various occasions.. … but Clinton is friends with celebrities who have said much worse things in their professional or personal lives. Here. Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, also accused Clinton of hypocrisy, referring Twitter followers to Clinton’s claim that “our children are listening” in her criticisms of the Republican nominee. “Because our children are listening” right Hillary? Jay Z drops the n-word, f-bomb during concert for Hillary Clinton,” Conway wrote on social media yesterday, linking to a story about Jay Z’s use of profanity during the concert. Elsewhere, Trump also noted during a rally in Reno that he didn’t bring any “so-called stars along” with him the trail. “We didn’t need them,” he told the crowd at a rally in Reno on Saturday. “The reason Hillary has to do that is, nobody comes for her. She can’t fill a room. “That’s almost like a form of cheating, right?” No, wrong. Trump had Scott Baio and Antonio Sabato Jr. speaking out for him at the Republican National Convention this summer. In case you missed it, Lindsay Lohan is kind of a hot damn mess right now. Well, she’s always a mess, but right now the situation is more dire than usual. Last week, Lindsay did this little interview, and while she was talking, she used this bizarre new accent . Lindsay Lohan’s Bizarre New Accent It didn’t sound like any accent that exists in reality, and she’s certainly never used it before. Disappointingly though it was, her father, Michael Lohan, tried to play it off like it wasn’t a big deal — like a grown ass adult randomly making up an accent and using it in a professional setting is totally normal. “Lindsay picks up languages like I pick up a coffee!” he joked. “I will tell you this, she’s spoken other languages on the phone with me — languages I don’t understand.” “I’ll be on the phone with her and I’ll hear her say something in fluent Farsi to a friend she’s with.” And just yesterday, Lindsay’s mother, Dina Lohan, told Us Weekly all about how Lindsay isn’t disturbed or anything tragic like that. No: she’s just special! “I have raised Lindsay and all my kids to constantly learn different languages and embrace different cultures,” she said. “Since Lindsay was a kid, she was speaking fluent Italian because my mother is Italian and would only speak to her in Italian.” OK, maybe that one’s true. That’s at least a tiny bit believable. But then Dina says that “She taught herself how to speak French, Arabic, Greek, Hebrew, and the list goes on.” “Lindsay has a very high IQ and is very intelligent and can pick up on any languages in a minute. She has that gift.” And really, Dina argues, the accent thing is nothing new. “Remember when Lindsay was just a little kid doing The Parent Trap and she was able to rock that British accent because she was so fascinated with the British culture — and still is — and embraced it fully?” she asked. “With that being said, she has always been this way. Nothing has ever changed.” Really? Not a thing? There are several rehab centers and police departments in California that might disagree . It’s just Lindsay’s new accent is so very, very upsetting. It’s not a great sign for her mental health, especially considering everything else she’s been through recently. That engagement to the allegedly abusive Egor Tarabosov , for instance? But Dina insists that Lindsay’s is fine, completely fine. Marvelous, really. “She is overseas now focusing on giving back to kids who have been refugees, who have no place to go, who have no food, who have no clothes to wear or anyone to turn to, and she helps them get everything they need,” she explains. “She sits down and communicates with each kid no matter what background they have come from or what language they speak because that’s her way of communicating to them.” “She is a worldly person who has so many talents and so much to offer and that’s what makes her so special and beautiful.” If all that’s true, then that’s great, it really is. As for Lindsay’s mental health , Michael dismisses any rumors that she’s in the midst of a mental crisis. Michael claims that Lindsay’s doing “absolutely amazing,” and that “she’s so happy and healthy and doing great. “Every time I talk to her she’s so positive.” “There’s nothing to be concerned about.” No, except for an errant accent on an American woman with a history of both substance abuse and mental health concerns.
