The company that Jobs built announced it will be updating the device which hasn’t seen any improvements since 2015. The new iPod Touch still looks like its predecessor with a 4-inch display, a home button and comes in multiple colors but will be sporting a new A10 Fusion system-on-a-chip under the hood. The updated iPod Touch runs on iOS 12 like the latest iPhone models and will allow owners to launch ARkit apps and even start group FaceTime conversations. Unlike the latest generation of iPhones, the new iPod Touch does not feature Touch ID or Face ID so to unlock the device you will need a passcode. Also, it will feature a headphone jack, something we wished Apple would put back on its iPhones again. This latest move by Apple comes as a surprise, but we can definitely see the potential for Apple to pull in coins. The updated iPod Touch is cheaper than Apple’s latest handsets, $199 will get you a 32GB, $299 128GB device and if you got some extra money laying around for $399 you can purchase a touch with 256GB of storage. It’s gonna take you a while to fill that bad boy up. Now if you’re wondering who would be in the market for an iPod Touch, there are plenty of potential customers. This device would be perfect for the person who would rather have their music on a separate device, making more room for your photos on your phone. We can also see kids jumping to get the new iPod Touch because of it coming in six new colors space gray, white, gold, blue, pink and (PRODUCT)RED. Also, it works well with wireless speakers and does allow access to streaming platforms such as Apple Music which will help alleviate the strain on your iPhone battery and help you conserve juice. The new iPod Touch is available now via Apple.com, the Apple app, or the company’s flagship locations. This news comes on the heels of Apple “confirming”three new iPhone models . Sad news from the world of famous cats today, as the number of world-renowned felines has officially dropped to zero. Yes, we regret to inform you that the internet legend known as Grumpy Cat has passed away at the age of 7. The sad news was confirmed this morning by Grumpy’s representatives. (We hesitate to use the word “owner,” as anyone who shares a living space with a cat knows who’s really in charge in that scenario.) “We are unimaginably heartbroken to announce the loss of our beloved Grumpy Cat,” began the statement issued this morning from the official Grumpy Cat Twitter account. “Despite care from top professionals, as well as from her very loving family, Grumpy encountered complications from a recent urinary tract infection that unfortunately became too tough for her to overcome,” the statement continued. “She passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, May 14, at home in the arms of her mommy, Tabatha. “Besides being our baby and a cherished member of the family, Grumpy Cat has helped millions of people smile all around the world — even when times were tough. Her spirit will continue to live on through her fans everywhere,” the cat’s family concluded. Grumpy, whose real name was — *respectful facepalm on behalf of the departed* — Tardar Sauce, suffered from feline dwarfism, an extremely rare condition. She first rose to fame when a member of Tabatha’s family posted a pic of her on Reddit. Redditors refused to believe the pics were unretouched; more photos were posted as evidence, and with that, an internet legend was born. Grumpy eventually proved more profitable — and more marketable — than social media icons as Star Wars Kid or Salt Bae. During her short time on this planet, she spawned about a million memes and hobnobbed with countless celebrities . Grumpy appeared at events such as South by Southwest festival in Austin, where fans lined up for hours to meet the famous furball — who was, of course, completely indifferent to their presence. At the height of her fame, Grumpy inspired caffeinated beverages based on her ornery visage, as well as a Christmas movie in which she made her acting debut. In the age of Jimmy Fallon, James Corden, and Ellen DeGeneres, Grumpy offered a welcome alternative to all that bubbly positivity. Earlier this month, we heard reports that Justin Bieber was ignoring his wife to chat with Selena Gomez . We didn’t want to believe it, for Hailey’s sake — or, frankly, for Selena’s. But a new report says that Hailey discovered that Justin was chatting with Selena behind her back. And she went ballistic . According to RadarOnline , Hailey Baldwin “exploded” when she looked through her famous husband’s cell phone. “Justin is constantly talking about Selena,” an insider reports. Pro tip: Discussions of your ex — especially your most serious ex — can often be a sore subject around your new spouse. “And Hailey is at her boiling point with all of this,” the source expresses. The discovery of their alleged communications, however, pushed things over the edge. Apparently, Hailey was doing her level best to make peace with Justin’s reported fixation on Selena. “But” the insider claims. “When she caught Justin with Selena texts on his phone last week,” that all changed. “Hailey absolutely lost it,” the source reports. “And,” the insider adds, Hailey even personally “reached out to Selena.” The source explains that she made this contentious contact. “to tell her to stay away from her man!” Shockingly, the insider claims that Selena “laughed” at Hailey’s attempt to set a boundary. “Selena thinks all of this is just hilarious,” the source reports. The insider explains that Selena allegedly holds this opinion “because she knows that Justin will always love her.” “And,” the source adds, Selena supposedly knows “that Hailey is disposable.” “The worst part,” the insider opines. “Is that Hailey knows this too.” “There is truly nothing that Hailey can do to change how Justin feels,” the source laments. Other people’s feelings are their own, and out of our control. For that matter, some people can’t even control their own feelings! “He is talking to Selena again,” the insider emphasizes. “And,” the source adds. “The two of them are on good terms.” It sounds like Jelena shippers, at the very least, don’t think that Justin’s marriage to a whole other person means much. Not in the long run, anyway. “Hailey is a small blip in his life,” the insider cruelly characterizes. “And,” the source claims. “Everyone knows that it is just a matter of time before she is out of the picture.” Wow, that is cold. But … is it true? At the risk of stealing Gossip Cop ‘s schtick, this just doesn’t add up to a true story. We don’t know what this alleged source heard or didn’t hear. Maybe Hailey is insecure in her marriage because of how quickly it happened and how unorthodox it was, at times. But we cannot for the life of us imagine Selena Gomez cheerfully gloating over Hailey’s misery. For one thing, Selena is the one who ended things, and it’s believed that she did so last time because she realized that Justin hadn’t really changed. Justin’s indecision and personal issues don’t mean that Selena feels the same way. We hope that Hailey knows that. Hussle’s sister, Samantha Smith, believes the girl is better off with her brother’s side of the family, but mother Tanisha Foster vows to do what she must to regain custody of her child. The Blast reports : Nipsey Hussle‘s baby mama has arrived to court to battle it out with his family and make sure she will have custody of her 10-year-old daughter. Tanisha Foster just showed up to court in Los Angeles and we’re told she will make it clear to the judge she wants to see her daughter, Emani. Tanisha is also going to bring up the fact that she has joint custody of Emani, as was awarded years back when she entered into a custody order with Nipsey. Along with custody, we’re told Tanisha will be filing for child support and wants the financial assistance to come from Nipsey’s estate. Per a friend’s recommendation, we met back in late 2013 when Jerod came in to audition for my MFA thesis film “Blame.” The minute he read those lines, it was clear he was meant to play the role of this young father at a crossroads: Either turn his son into the police for raping their neighbor or delete the only evidence of the assault on the teen’s cell phone. Despite the tiny budget for our 6-day shoot, Jerod never treated it like an amateur student film. Like a true professional, he came to set ready and delivered a beautiful performance filled with complexity, empathy and rawness. Everyday, I looked into that monitor and was blown away in awe. And having watched his work over the years, whether it’s on stage or on-screen, Jerod is truly a force. Now five-plus-years later, the Chicago native is starring in his first TV leading role in NBC’s “The Village.” On the drama, he plays Ben, a New York City police officer living in his parent’s Brooklyn apartment complex where his neighbors are more like his family. The more obstacles they all encounter in life, the more they grow together. For Ben, he is also juggling a lot—the death of his son, his mother’s battle with pancreatic cancer and falling in love with Ava, an Iranian immigrant who ICE wants to deport. That, and Ben is helping raise her son Sami. No doubt, the meatiness of a role like this is exactly what Jerod was made for. HelloBeautiful recently sat down with the rising star to talk about NBC’s “The Village,” being an African-American man playing a police officer and how therapy has helped him become a better actor and human being. HelloBeautiful: You were an athlete and then you became an actor. How did that happen? Jerod Haynes: I played basketball and even left college early to pursue it professionally, but my agent stopped answering my phone calls. [Laughs] So that dream never happened and I found myself stuck on my sister’s couch depressed. One day I Googled “depression” and it said something about acting classes, so I approached the Acting Studio Chicago . But I couldn’t afford the classes, so they worked out a barter system. I would take out the trash and do other things around the studio to get free classes. Soon, I realized that I really liked acting, so I took even more classes and auditioned for some plays, got guidance from people in the business and kept going with it. I started to see that as the window for basketball closed, another one opened. HB: OK, so I’ve had the privilege of directing you before, and listen…there were so many moments on set when I was looking into the monitor and was like “Damn, he’s really good.” At what point, did you realize that you were good at this? JH: Kellee, I’m still trying to figure that out! [Laughs] Honestly, sometimes I wonder if they are like, “What is he doing here? I want to say that I’m good, but that’s all subjective. But here’s what I do know. I enjoy this and I am just seeking to get better at it. HB: You have the ability to dig so deep within yourself with your role as Ben and in any supporting role you’ve had, like when you were on “Chicago Med” and your wife died and obviously “Blame.” You like to cry on-screen. [Laughs] JH: Ha! You know, this work teaches you who you really are. And learning who you are is the toughest task you can be given, because you see the good and the bad. You see your flaws up close and you really begin to understand what your triggers are, especially when the scripts require a high level of emotion and thoughtfulness. I started therapy and began learning why certain things affected me and what tools I need to have to work on them. Listen. Therapy works. Also, being able to articulate what and why something affects me in a scene has helped as an actor and as a man. I can read a scene and identify quicker with it and what it requires emotionally. HB: It’s so rare to hear a Black man speak so openly and positively about how therapy has improved their lives. Thank you for this, we need more to speak up. JH: Well, I wasn’t always that way, I won’t lie. But I got to a place where I kept hitting a ceiling and finally had to ask myself what was the worse thing that could happen by going to therapy? HB: Right, like the worse is that you get better? JH: Exactly. And like I said, it works. Source: NBC The Village / NBC HB: Shifting gears to “The Village,” what drew you to this role? JH: I remember reading the script and feeling like there was so much humanity in it. And in these times, we are seeing a lot of isolation and silence and people holding on to grudges. Yet, here is a story about this group of neighbors who try to understand each other and be there for one another. We all have a commonality of pain and that brings us together. You’re wounded, I’m wounded, so let me help you heal and vice versa.And these neighbors need each other’s help and can’t do it alone. Given how divided this country is right now, I was drawn to this story. “The Village” is the show we need now more than ever.

On NeNe: “You can come in in peace like I did in the last episode, I came to support Cynthia at her launch party. I was cordial with everyone, I didn’t come to be combative and start drama but yet look at the fallout that ensued. I knew I didn’t do anything wrong, I came to support my friend. That’s their issue, not mine.” On turning down RHOA season 11: “I wasn’t fired. How you gonna get fired if you have an offer on the table? Never. […] It was several reasons, things did not come together for me the way they should. I didn’t want to jeopardize my pregnancy, I was really high risk. Kim Kardashian is about to show us a side of her that we have never seen. And honestly, never in a million years thought we would. But the time has finally come — we must all prepare ourselves to meet the new and improved lawyer Kim in her not so red-carpet environment. That’s right. We will actually get to press pause on all the Kardashian clan’s drama and finally get to watch sista Kim do something a little more, well, productive. The reality queen is breaking out of her E! Kingdom and heading on over to the NBC affiliated channel Oxygen to show off her more serious, Elle Woods side. Oxygen Media has recently greenlighted five new series, including Kim’s new show, Kim Kardashian: The Justice Project (working title). The new 2-hour documentary will follow Kim’s campaign for criminal justice reform and her efforts to grant freedom for Americans who she believes have been wronged by the justice system. According to a press release, the project promises “an exclusive, never before seen look inside her mission to tackle one of America’s most controversial subjects.” Kim is fully on board and is serving as executive producer alongside Bunim Murray Production with Gil Goldschein, Julie Pizzi and Farnaz Farjam. The new program comes after Kim recently publicized her decision to become a lawyer and after she freed Alice Marie Johnson. Alice happens to be her most notable case , though we recently learned she is not the only person to have been pardoned by Mrs. Kardashian-West. According to TMZ , Kim has secretly freed over 17 inmates — all in the past 3 months! She has secured pardons for several of these first-time non-violent offenders who were locked up on drug charges, many of whom were serving life sentences. Kim’s team — who deals more with the legalities, rather than footing the bills or landing a meeting with the President — consists of her lawyer, Brittany K. Barnett, along with lawyer MiAngel Cody. Barnett says without Kim’s financial support, none of this would’ve been possible. But don’t be fooled, she does way more than just handle all the legal fees. “Our relationships with our clients don’t end when they are freed. [Kim] is truly dedicated to the issue,” Barnett said. “I work personally with her, we are really grateful.” And while some may find it unusual that Kim hasn’t been sharing these success stories with her 60 million Twitter followers, Barnett says it’s because they have all been extremely “busy.” “[Kim] has been on the phone as we’ve told clients they are coming home,” Barnett said. “I think one, she really wants to be taken seriously, so she is really focused on learning the system and the people who are directly impacted.” “That takes a lot of focus, too. It’s not always amplified with social media.” But we can now rest easy knowing that we will still get to keep up with this Kardashian as she works to reform the prison system. This upcoming documentary is part of a large slate of new programming from Oxygen with Ice-T, Mark Whalberg, Nancy Grace and more all involved with prominent issues. “Oxygen is tremendously excited to work with some of the biggest names in the industry on such important projects,” Rod Aissa, executive vice president of original programming and development for Oxygen, said in a statement. “This year we’ve increased our original hours by more than 30 percent, and we’ll keep ramping up our programming efforts as more fans flock to the network to experience the best in class content.” Premiere dates have yet to be released, but we are so ready.
