Well, here’s the latest on what has been a pretty rough stretch of time for the American singer. VIA | HipHopDX CHICAGO, IL – R. Kelly was expected at Cook County Circuit Court this week but failed to show up. As a result, the embattled R&B singer lost the civil lawsuit by default, according to The Chicago Tribune. He was expected to address the allegations he’d sexually abused an underage girl in the late ’90s. The now-36-year-old woman filed the suit in February, alleging Kelly had participated in sexual acts with her multiple times in June 1998 when she was only 16. Judge Moira Johnson granted the attorneys’ request to enter a judgment against Kelly on Tuesday (April 23), which could still be reversed if Kelly hires an attorney to handle the suit. READ MORE

Last week, we showed you a Keeping Up With The Kardashians sneak peek in which Khloe snapped at Kourtney after very little taunting. On Sunday night’s episode, we saw that this squabble was just the tip of the iceberg. The sisters were practically at each other’s throats during their “soul-searching” family vacation to Bali. On the episode airing April 21, the broiling tensions between Khloe and Kourtney began before they even arrived. The flight to Indonesia lasted for 18 hours, during which Khloe felt a little overwhelmed — or whelmed at least. This was a long, long flight to take with baby True. And while Mason and Penelope are growing older faster than fans can believe, there was an entire litter of Kardashian children to wrangle. While Khloe was growing increasingly frustrated, Kourtney was living her best life — by sleeping for 15 of those 18 hours. After emerging from her glorious beauty sleep, Kourtney was aghast to find that her luggage was all wrong. … By which we mean that her bags contained the wrong kind of lip gloss and lip liner. “I need to have a talk with my assistant when I get back,” Kourtney vowed ominously. This from the woman who famously advised Kim to stop crying about her diamond earrings because “there’s people that are dying.” Khloe mentioned that she had packed her own bags, but Kourt was less than interesting. “I don’t wanna do that stuff myself,” she told her younger sister. Later, during the scene that we showed you on Friday, Kourtney then baited Khloe by bringing up her fondness for compalining. After talking about how everyone needed to take a spiritual and mental inventory, Kourtney noted that Khloe was “complaining too much.” Khloe did not enjoy that at all. Tensions rose further after Khloe lamented that she was overwhelmed because family business obligations kept her from spending time with Tristan. (Lol, remember when she and Tristan were together?) Kourtney was pretty dismissive, saying that Khloe could always opt out. “You’re an adult woman with a child,” she counseled Khloe. “You can say no.” Honestly, that sounded like pretty good advice to us, but Khloe didn’t take it that way. (Or, at least, editing made it look like Khloe was further rankled by Kourt’s suggestion) Sitting in front of the confessional camera, Khloe went off — violently. “Her comments make me want to slap her in the f–king mouth,” Khloe expressed. Khloe then went crying to Momager Kris She griped that Kourtney was always “on her phone.” “She’s not present,” Khloe accused. “She’s so f–king selfish.” Now, Khloe and Kourtney eventually reached an agreement to be more considerate of each other’s feelings. Speaking of Kourt making peace … there’s Scott. Honestly, his biggest role in the episode was being a loving, doting father. He and Kourtney even posed for a family photo that Khloe joked would make the cover of “co-parenting magazine.” Clearly, the cameras and editing were in favor of helping Scott continue to rehabilitate his image. We know that we come across as a little Team Kourtney here. It’s difficult to not admire someone sleeping for 15 hours. That’s beyond BDE. That’s Big Sleep Energy and we’re here for it. Clearly, she was deliberately antagonizing Khloe. Whether this was a ploy for the show or an immature sibling squabble (or maybe they can’t tell the difference anymore), we can’t say. It looks like Kourt’s story in next week’s episode is going to take a much more personal tone. She and Scott have a lot of emotional baggage to sort out. In an interview with Kerwin Frost, Lil Yachty acknowledged that fans were correct to presume that he had a writing credit on City Girls ‘ latest hit “Act Up”. What did he actually write? In Yachty’s words, he penned almost the entire song while in the studio with his friend and frequent collaborator EarlThePearll . “When it came out, people was so shocked and they didn’t believe it,” he said. “I wrote the whole song, except for J.T.’s last verse. But everything that everyone is singing, I wrote the whole thing.” Yachty is credited with Jatavia “J.T.” Johnson and EarlThePearll who produced the song. City Girls’ other member, Caresha “Yung Miami” Brownlee” does not have a writing credit. Yachty says that Earl asked him to try his hand at writing for City Girls, and he pulled off the feet simply be getting into their mindset. According to Variety , the series will be full of all-female live performances, panels, comedy shows and more, and a portion of proceeds are going to be given to organizations who focus on the advancement of women. Stars featured, aside from Brandy and Monica, include Cardi B, Teyana Taylor, Jill Scott, City Girls, Ashanti, Mya, Keri Hilson, Faith Evans, Jorja Smith, Amerie and more. Email Submit On the footage, you can see Dnigma talking to a friend as officers loom in the background. When the friend leaves they immediately run up on Dnigma and push her to the ground. Video from another angle shows the officers dragging Howard down the stairs, and at the bottom one officer is holding her arm while the other is holding her leg. “In the video you can see they pull her by the leg down the stairs, the whole flight of stairs,” Dnigma’s father Laurentio Howard. One cop on the video appears to both punch and kick the teenaged girl while she’s on the ground. Dnigma’s father had been called to the school to pick her up after she was kicked out of class for having her phone out. He was on hand watching Chicago police handle his daughter like this. “I’m standing downstairs by the front door and she said, ‘I’m going to get her to come downstairs. She’s going home right now,’” he said. “I couldn’t believe I seen two sworn police officers of Chicago abusing my daughter like this and I’m standing right there watching them do this and can’t do anything about it,” he recalled of the incident.
