Ho Sit Down: Designer Hits Back At Khloe “Columbus” Kardashian Cease And Desist With Real Actual Receipts

Stepping into my purpose like… ✨ pic.twitter.com/yHZdmHjq0d — destiney bleu (@destineybleu) June 9, 2017 Dbleudazzled Designer Destiney Bleu Fights Back Against Khloe Kardashian’s Claims She Didn’t Copy Her Designs If Khloe Kardashian thought Dbleudazzled designer Destiney Bleu was just going to roll over and allow her Good American line to pass off bedazzled designs as “inspired” by Cher while pretending she never heard of or copied Dbleudazzled, she had another thing coming. While Destiney Bleu has been speaking out over the last week, showing how she designed the original version of a bodysuit that appears in a Good American promo ad (peep the :44 mark) … It's here! Watch what goes down with @khloekardashian and the #GOODSQUAD on set of a #GoodAmerican campaign pic.twitter.com/TUGh9AZ8Fw — GOOD AMERICAN (@goodamerican) June 1, 2017 Now Bleu is taking things a step further, providing multiple media outlets with emails and receipts exchanged between herself, Khloe’s assistant Alexis and Khloe’s former stylist Monica Rose. I released the copy of the Cease & Desist, several emails of KK saying she loved my items & #receipts showing she bought 1 of everything. ✨ — destiney bleu (@destineybleu) June 9, 2017 I felt disrespected and bullied, so in my mind I had no option but to speak the truth and fight the good fight. No pun. — destiney bleu (@destineybleu) June 9, 2017 Peep the timeline provided to People.com : According to Bleu the timeline of events goes as follows: 11/10/2016 – Alexa Okyle, Khloé Kardashian’s executive assistant, emails Destiney stating that Khloé discovered Destiney’s line and wanted to see a lookbook. 11/15/2016 – Khloé orders fishnet tights and a custom jersey. 12/05/2016 – Khloé orders an additional 12 items, for a total of $925, plus gives final details on the custom jersey ordered by Khloe on 11/15/2016. 12/09/2016 – Khloé’s assistant requests that the items all be sent directly to Khloé Kardashian’s house in Calabasas, provides Khloé’s address, and adds Destiney’s messenger to the gate list. 12/09/2016 – Khloé’s stylist, Monica Rose, emails Destiney asking to borrow black and nude body suits. [These are the same bodysuits as in the images above which Bleu alleges were later copied by Good American] 12/13/2016 – Khloé’s 11/15/2016 order messengered to Calabasas address. Soon after, Destiney receives an email stating that “Khloé loves it all.” 1/06/2017 – Destiney receives another email from Alexa, stating that “Khloé also loves these bras & panties, can we get these too.” The email was accompanied by photos from Destiney’s Instagram account, showing 16 more items that they wanted to purchase from Destiney for a total of $1560. 1/09/2017 – Destiney receives an email from Alexa, asking if they could keep the bodysuits that Monica Rose pulled because Khloé loves them. Destiney informs Alexa that she would loan the items if worn temporarily for appearances. If they were being kept, however, they needed to be paid for, as they are $700 items. 1/30/2017 – Destiney receives a request from Khloé to purchase a sample bra that Destiney had loaned them for custom sizing purposes. 3/27/2017 – Destiney sends Monica Rose an invoice for three body suits, two of which are those that were copied by Good American, for a total of $2100. 4/12/2017 – Destiney emails Khloé’s assistant regarding photographs Destiney saw of Khloé wearing a bodysuit extremely similar to on purchased from Destiney, at the video/photo shoot for the Good American campaign. Destiney received no reply. 5/18/2017 – Destiney receives an email from Jenna Baker, assistant designer at the “Kendall + Kylie” clothing line, wanting to purchase a nude body suit with nipple bursts. Ms. Baker attached a photo of one that Destiney had loaned her for a prior shoot. Bleu’s timeline is part of a 27 page legal response to the cease & desist letter she was served with on Thursday. That cease & desist letter followed a statement from Good American that read as follows: Under no circumstances did Good American or Khloe Kardashian infringe on another brand’s intellectual property and we are going through the proper legal channels to handle the situation. On social media Good American really TRIED it — posting references to Cher, Britney Spears and Diana Ross as inspiration. The cease and desist letter to Bleu claimed she was committing defamation of character, and demanded that she stop making “false statements,” “make an appropriate corrective statement” and “that [Destiney’s] trolls stop attacking [Khloé Kardashian’s] social media channels.” But Thursday night Bleu’s lawyers responded with documents to disprove Kardashian’s lawyers’ claims that she has “never heard [Destiney’s] name” and “never saw [her] samples.” The evidence? The timeline we posted above, listing Bleu’s interactions with Khloé’s assistant and then stylist Monica Rose as well as screenshots of all of their email exchanges back and forth along with invoices for the pieces Bleu ultimately sold her, including a pair of customized underwear bedazzled with the name, “Tristan Thompson.” Bleu’s lawyers also state that a cease and desist letter for defamation is completely inappropriate: “even if Destiney’s accusations of copying were incorrect (and they are not), it would still not be defamation because Khloé Kardashian is a public figure and the standard that must be met for defamation of a public figure is actual malice. See Kaelin v. Globe Comm. Corp., 162 F.3d 1036, 1039 (9th Cir. 1998) (“A public figure in a defamation case cannot recover unless he proves by clear and convincing evidence that the defendant published the defamatory statement with actual malice, i.e., with knowledge that it was false….”). There is obviously no actual malice here, which would require that Destiney knew her accusations were false when she made them.” The letter goes on to state, “Destiney has a Constitutionally-protected right to inform others that Khloé Kardashian has copied her designs. She will not silently abdicate that right in response to a frivolous, two-bit email from you threatening legal action. If Khloé wants to continue stealing designs from indie creators and mass produce them with no credit, then Khloé will rightly face judgment in the court of public opinion. The biggest gem in the response from Bleu’s lawyer’s is this little nugget rightchea: Also, we note that your public statement about this issue is carefully crafted to say that Khloé Kardashian did not ‘infringe on another brand’s intellectual property’. Of course, she didn’t – copying clothing and fashion is generally not intellectual property infringement. It is not illegal for Khloé to copy Destiney’s designs—it is just tacky, disrespectful, and in bad taste. There is also something deeply uncomfortable about someone with Khloé’s wealth and power appropriating designs and fashion directly from a black woman with a small business without crediting her, making cheap knockoffs, and then attempting to threaten her into silence. You should be ashamed.” But alas– as we already knew, SHAME is a moral characteristic that Kardashians are not familiar with. Khloe’s lawyers released ANOTHER statement to People sticking to their story: “Ms Bleu’s claim that Good American and Khloé Kardashian copied or stole her designs is flagrantly false and little more than a cheap publicity stunt and an attempt by Ms Bleu to get her 15 minutes of fame. Ms. Bleu did not create the concept or design of a bodysuit with crystals – a fashion style that has been around for decades as evidenced by the fact that Cher has been wearing these styles for over 25 years. The Good American design team designed a range of eleven bodysuits and had never heard of Ms. Bleu or seen her designs. The letter from her lawyer -sent to the press for no legitimate reason – is outrageous, defamatory and misleading in the extreme. Good American will absolutely not stand for anyone trying to damage its reputation and plans to deal with this through the proper legal channels.” this statement tho> > > > > pic.twitter.com/pQIQX6y7EO — ☾ (@FashioNYSEta) June 9, 2017 Bleu has been met with support on Instagram and Twitter and continues to stand her ground. There is a difference between a publicity stunt and telling the truth. Especially when it means protecting a brand you started from NOTHING. — destiney bleu (@destineybleu) June 9, 2017 I think it is an important discussion to have. Why are we supporting brands that we know unethically make millions off other's work? https://t.co/vLgdHufQJ9 — destiney bleu (@destineybleu) June 10, 2017 https://t.co/iUSuTjM3UJ x @dbleudazzled @PLUGGEDNYCSTORE — destiney bleu (@destineybleu) June 10, 2017 Unfortunately trolls will be trolls and she’s still having to deal with Khloe’s minions. pic.twitter.com/gSol08TcD1 — destiney bleu (@destineybleu) June 10, 2017 What do you think the final outcome will be with this issue? Do you think Khloe would EVER publicly admit to wrongdoing and pay Destiney like she owes her? Or will this case end up going to court?

16 Stars Who Really, REALLY Hate the Kardashians

We're living in very frightening times, people. Due to the threat of nuclear war, terrorism and Donald Trump as President? Yes, but that's not really applicable in this case. Instead, we're referring at the moment to a culture that has embraced Kim Kardashian and her family to such an extent that they make millions and millions of dollars per year. Many big names have spoken out against the famous family in recent times, including President Barack Obama, but Naomi Watts summed up our feelings very well in a May 2015 interview with Australian InStyle. “There’s so much focus on celebrity these days; we’re in the Kardashian era and it’s slightly scary,” said the Oscar nominee. Do you agree? Scroll down for a look at Watts and other celebrities who won't be sending the Kardashians a Christmas card any time soon… 1. Naomi Watts Naomi Watts wore Armani Privé with Bulgari jewels to the 88th Annual Academy Awards at Hollywood & Highland Center on February 28, 2016 in Hollywood, California. 2. Barack Obama Barack Obama has reportedly banned all of the Kardashian reality shows from the White House and said in a speech that Kim and Kanye are examples of how a celebrity-obsessed culture is bad for our children. 3. Cher Cher has Tweeted that the Kardashians are “bitches” who should be “drop kicked down the freeway.” She made a point of saying she is NOT kidding. 4. Kelly Cutrone The author and fashion guru says there’s not “one person who really works in the fashion industry who gives a flying f-ck about Kanye West.” She also says Kim isn’t doing anything “fresh” in the fashion world. 5. Reese Witherspoon Says Reese Witherspoon at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards: “When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape, you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed and if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hid your face.” Hmmm… Who could she have been referencing? 6. Jon Hamm Jon Hamm once called Kim Kardashian a “f-cking idiot.” But how does he REALLY feel about her? View Slideshow

Adam West Dies; TV’s Batman Was 88

Adam West, who became a TV legend as the star of the 1960s Batman  series, has passed away at the age of 88. The sad news of West’s death was confirmed this morning in a statement from the actor’s representatives. West reportedly passed peacefully in his sleep following a short battle with Leukemia, according to multiple reports. His family said in statement issued moments ago: “Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight, and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives.” “He was and always will be our hero.” West’s depiction of both Batman and his alter-ego Bruce Wayne helped him achieve instant fame with the show’s debut in 1966. However, as is often the case with such stardom, he would later find himself constrained and typecast by the iconic role. The show’s candy-colored graphics and campy storylines made it synonymous with a particularly dated brand of ’60s kitsch. It was a tone from which West struggled to separate himself, but he would find the greatest success of his later years by embracing it. Relishing his role as the clown prince of a bygone era, he demonstrated a self-referential and self-deprecating sense of humor few actors are capable of,  West turned in memorably tongue-in-cheek performances as various versions of himself on shows like The Big Bang Theory and Family Guy . In the latter, he became a beloved series regular, portraying a deranged mayor of the fictional Quahog, Rhode Island. Whose name happened to also be Adam West. West was sometimes critical of the darker version of Batman presented by directors Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan. While no doubt appreciative of the directors’ work, he said he always endeavored to find the lighter side of the Dark Knight. For decades, he had conflicting feelings toward the character that limited his career and which later made him something of a punchline. Of being embraced by many, but also looked down upon in a sense by more “serious” superhero fans, West explained: “I decided that since so many people love Batman, I might as well love it too.” “Why not? So I began to reengage myself with Batman.” “And I saw the comedy. I saw the love people had for it,” the actor said of the character and his role in its legacy. “I just embraced it.” While many actors have portrayed Batman over the years, West’s take on the iconic figure was inarguably unique. So it’s fitting that in his later years, fans embraced West as a gifted comic actor who offered a distinctive, era-defining take on one of pop culture’s most beloved, most enduring and most recognizable characters. Larsa Pippen: Mooching Off Kourtney Kardashian to Pay Bills?

Few things in life are more stressful, painful, or gossip-friendly than divorce. But one reality star felt the need to take to Instagram to claim that hers, at least, isn’t so bad that she has to rely on a little help from her friends. Larsa Pippen is more than just a reality personality with the name that surely belongs to a whimsical side-character in an epic fantasy story. She’s also a mother, a close friend of Kourtney Kardashian, and … had a fairly epic breakup last year. Recently, a story ran alleging that Larsa’s ex, Scottie Pippen, had cut her off during their divorce. Now, that’s a real thing that happens in so many divorces — it can be months before a court actually orders payments, and breadwinners can do all sorts of nasty things in the mean time to sabotage their spouses, from closing lines of credit to emptying shared accounts. To say nothing of custody fights, blackmail, and a host of other tricks and strategies that people employ to try to ruin the lives of the person they once loved. Divorce can be an ugly, ugly business. But apparently things aren’t nearly that bad for Larsa and Scottie, because Larsa took to social media to clear things up. “Where do they get this from!!” she captioned on Instagram. “So false.” Scottie’s attorney also confirmed to E! that the report was untrue . In fact, apparently Larsa and ex Scottie are working towards some sort of reconciliation. Considering that  police were called to their home at least twice  last October, we can’t wholeheartedly applaud them for trying to mend fences. Anybody can work past alleged cheating if they want to. But when the police are called, things are a lot more serious, even if it isn’t a domestic violence scenario. There’s just a lot that we don’t know about these two. But, yeah, if they’re having an amicable divorce and working towards reconciliation — which is almost always the advice that any ethical attorney gives — then that doesn’t sound like a scenario where Scottie would have cut her off. Let alone where Larsa would be mooching off of Kourtney. Surely Kourtney’s dealing with enough ex nonsense of her own. We’re not saying that we know for sure that the story was fake. Clearly, Larsa and Scottie would both have every motive to deny it even if it were true. “Fake news,” like imagined child sex-rings run out of non-existent basements , can be about anything. Though unfortunately certain people heard the stories that they’d latched onto described as “fake news” and started parroting the term, like toddlers who’ve just learned an obscenity, whenever they don’t like a headline. But a celebrity gossip story that turns out to not be true is usually super believable. It’s super believable that a woman would be financially cut off during a divorce. It’s similarly believable that her famously wealthy friend might help her out. If nothing else, it’s because so many fans can easily imagine Kourtney, who’s generally regarded as a nice person, supporting her friend during a tough time. And everyone who fantasizes about being rich tends to imagine the things that they could do for their friends. So, even if that story about Larsa was false, it still would have been believable to many people who read it. We have to say that it’s always interesting to see when a celebrity reacts to a story about them. A lot of celebrities remain dead silent about the news about them. Many, like Kylie Jenner, seem to exist in a bubble where they’re protected from most genuine criticism. What little they do see online, whether on Twitter or Instagram or wherever, they seem to dismiss as “hate,” even if someone has a valid point. Probably because an especially famous celeb might get thousands of hateful messages in a single day, and don’t have the time or energy to read them all, let alone consider which of the dozens or so that they do see might have merit. But Larsa noticed this and felt a need to respond. Kind of makes you wonder how often other stars see pieces about themselves but don’t reply, huh? Another One: DJ Khaled Covers ‘Billboard’ & Speaks On His ‘Prophet’ Son Asahd

Major key… DJ Khaled Covers Billboard Magazine DJ Khaled can’t be stopped. The “We The Best” head is currently covering Billboard  and giving them a glimpse at his extremely extravagant but also extremely gratitude filled lifestyle. Khaled invited writer Chris Martins to his home for an in-depth look into his world that included a trip to Starbucks on a golf cart and the delivery of a shiny new Escalade to his driveway. The piece gives you some good background info on the breakdancer turned music titan, who also revealed that he crashed Chance The Rapper’s family barbecue to get him on “I’m The One.” Catch some highlights below. On his son Asahd being a “prophet”: “He leans in very closely: “He’s my son, but when I look at him, he’s my prophet, too. I believe me and Asahd was put on this world to show what love is.” On his fear of flying: Khaled, if you don’t know, is terrified of flying. Tony Robbins, the celebrity “life and business strategist,” is trying to help him with this, leaving voice memos every few weeks reminding Khaled he’ll take him up in his jet anytime. For now, Khaled takes a tour bus between homes and responsibilities. Asahd, though, may change that. “He flies private,” says Khaled. “I’m just as stressed out on ground waiting for him, so I might as well be up there.” On crying when he finally got Bieber’s vocals: Weezy knocked it out, and that was it — except Bieber wasn’t done. “I’m calling every day like, ‘Do you need me to bring you tea? Is the AC good in the house?’ Then he sends it. I’m not going to lie. I shed tears.” On people who think he doesn’t do anything: “Anybody who’s confused what Khaled does is an idiot.” He’s perched on the edge of his cushioned seat, waving his arms, voice echoing. “I produce, I write, I orchestrate. I’m a mogul and one of the biggest DJs you’ve seen in your life. I’ll bust your ass on some turntables. You go to my Miami studio, you’ll be blinded by the shining of the [platinum and gold] plaques. What, you think my records get made magically?” Another one! Khaled’s Billboard cover hits stores June 17. You copping???
