For the second time this month, Bristol Palin is under fire for sharing a photo of one of her kids… … and a gun. A couple weeks ago, Palin posted a picture to Instagram of her baby daughter, Sailor, posing alongside her father, Dakota Meyer, and some sort of antique weapon. The photo raised many concerns for parents across the Internet. But, in fairness, it was an ancient gun that was no longer able to be fired, as you can see below: The same, though, cannot be said of Bristol’s latest Instagram image. In the first picture posted above, Bristol is standing with seven-year old Tripp, keeping an eye on the toddler as he shoots an actual weapon. Wearing safety glasses and ear protection, just as her child is, Bristol captioned the photo as follows: “#trapper #safetyfirst #teachingthemyoung.” As you might expect, the picture has divided those on social media. Some are aghast at the sight of a firearm in the hands of a young child. What’s the point , they might ask? Why take any chance that this kid could get hurt? And why teach him about shooting a gun at such an early age? Others, however, are standing up for the controversial daughter of Sarah Palin. For example, @nattythorn78 wrote as a comment to the picture: “Good job! Teaching them to respect guns young is a great gift to children.” And @adecoratingmom chimed in with the following: “Great teaching your kids that guns need to be treated safely. Don’t let the wackos gun control haters deter you. Great job @bsmp2.” We’d say that one can teach one’s child about gun safety while still pushing for reasonable gun control measures. But whatever. Where do you stand on Palin’s latest scandal? Is it a scandal in your mind? Should parents teach their kids how to handle weapons? Yes, but not at this young of an age? No, never? There are many sides one can take in response to this photo. Unlike Bristol’s response to this year’s Oscar race controversy , this isn’t the dumbest thing she has ever dumb or said. Last week, Courtney Stodden suffered a miscarriage in the second month of her pregnancy. In the aftermath, Stodden was understandably quiet on social media, but she did take to time to express her gratitude for the outpouring of affection and support she received from fans. Now that a few days have passed, Courtney is back on Instagram, and she seems to be managing her grief as well as could be expected. Though some fans have expressed concern with Courtney’s coping mechanism of choice. Stodden posted the pics below earlier today, and some fans are taking them as an indication that she’s drowning her sorrows in booze because, well, she basically said that’s what she’s doing. “Champagne Days #picoftheday,” she captioned the pic on the left. “Numbing myself of the deep loneliness I feel,” she wrote nest to the pic on the right. Obviously, for anyone who’s never endured it, a miscarriage is an unimaginably difficult experience, and anything that brings Courtney a modicum of peace during this trying time can’t be all bad. Courtney’s troubles have been compounded by the public nature of her miscarriage as well as a slew of rumors that her pregnancy was fake . That said, we join her concerned fans in hoping that she’s not turning to booze as her sole or primary means of handling her grief. Courtney’s never been known to suffer from any addiction issues in the past, but she only turned 21 last year, and she stated in several interviews that she never experimented with drugs and never drank until she was legal. Courtney celebrated her 21st by getting drunk last summer, which is obviously the customary way to mark the occasion. We just hope she’s not making it a regular habit these days.

The series prequels the story of The Bate Motel we saw in the classic horror film “Psycho”. Rihanna has big shoes to fill since she is playing a role made famous by Janet Leigh. Leigh made the film a classic with her screams in the shower as she was getting stabbed to death. She also scored a Golden Globe and Oscar nod for her role in the film. Will you be watching?

July 2016 is not a month Taylor Swift will look back on fondly. Yes, she’s getting her romance on with The Night Manager ‘s Tom Hiddleston, but she was also hung out to dry by both Kim Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris . Harris was angry that Swift took credit for his song, “This is What You Came For,” with Rihanna. That led to a series of tweets from the usually quiet DJ. “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it,” Harris tweeted on July 13th. According to In Touch Weekly , Harris is prepared for whatever backlash is coming his way next. “if Taylor pushes him again, he’s going to expose and destroy her,” a source told the tabloid. Hard to believe, but it’s been 16 years since Michael Phelps put the swimming world on notice – and became a household name. Becoming the youngest male to make the U.S. Olympic team in nearly 7 decades, the Baltimore Bullet quickly became a legend. This year, he will compete in his fifth Olympic games, and needless to say, a lot has changed in his life in the years since he first hit the global stage. In February of last year, Phelps got engaged to Nicole Johnson . In May, Phelps welcomed his first child , a boy named Boomer. Needless to say, he’s come a long way since the brash, occasionally trouble-prone young man we met so many years ago. And now, there are rumors that Phelps, still only 31, may have recently passed another milestone in his personal life. You may have seen the headlines pop up in your social media feed: Something along the lines of ” Is Michael Phelps Married ?” Well, as it happens, that question mark is there for a reason. Because, as far as anyone knows, Phelps and Johnson did not get hitched in a quickie pre-Rio ceremony, as some folks are claiming. We imagine the couple will walk down the aisle shortly after the games, but thus far, they have yet to announce any specific plans. And why rush things at this point? They already have a baby together, and despite global health concerns, Phelps is going to the Olympics, not war. They may as well wait, and hopefully Phelps will come home with some new hardware to wear to the ceremony. Just kidding; there’s no way the guy could walk with all the medals he’s won around his neck at this point. So our premature congrats go out to Michael and Nicole!
