Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers are very much back together, but his health prospects are much more up in the air than their romantic status. The Real Housewives of Orange County stars have been living together as Brooks battles cancer , but he tells Radar that the arduous battle continues. According to Brooks, chemotherapy treatments to treat his “aggressive” cancer (Stage 3 Non-Hodgkins lymphoma) don’t seem to be having any effect. “I am sick,” Ayers, who has battled the illness since 2013, admitted. “I do feel bad, but it’s mind over matter a lot of times. You gotta stay the course.” Six months of chemotherapy and a largely liquid-based diet later, Gunvalson’s live-in boyfriend says he was hoping things would have improved by now. “When the test results came back, the numbers haven’t changed substantially,” he revealed. “They haven’t gotten worse, but they haven’t gotten better.” “That was kind of disheartening, to be honest with you.” “ I’m not so sure my body is responding to chemotherapy ,” he admitted. “At least the cocktail that I was doing. I’m not sure it responded like it needed to.” Ayers says he’s faced with three options, starting with an “aggressive form of chemotherapy” that would mean 3-4 days a week of treatment for months. It’s that, an experimental stem cell transplant, or a holistic approach, which one of their Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars is helping him with. “Shannon Beador’s been very much in our corner, putting us in contact with a lot of unbelievable world-renowned holistic physicians,” he said. “We’re exploring that and with that would come no chemo. It would be addressing and taking what I’ve been doing with the holistic diet and an infrared sauna.” “It’s just assessing what my mentality, my body responds to and it’s been quite a daunting mental task,” the reality star admits, but he still has Vicki. That, more than anything, gets him through the day these days. “She keeps me up and going and it’s been good rather than just routine, monotonous life. That’s not what we’re about. So it’s been very good from that perspective.” If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online , you know Brooks has always been polarizing, but life’s latest turn has changed his outlook. He says he will be back on the show, and is excited for it. Earlier this week, documents from a 2010 custody hearing detailed the child abuse allegations against Kate Gosselin . Now, more leaks from the same hearing reveal that Kate has so little faith in Jon Gosselin’s parenting abilities that she would rather leave her six youngest children under the care of a teenage babysitter for a week than with their father. “Recently, Mother traveled with the two older children for six days and left the six younger in the care of a 19-year-old babysitter,” claimed attorneys for Jon. “Father was available, however, Mother refused to allow children to stay with Father and/or allow Father to stay in her home with her children.” To make matters worse, Kate reportedly instructed the sitter to forbid the kids from having any contact with Jon: “Mother has also instructed her babysitters that they are not to contact Father and/or accept phone calls from Father.” This latest information comes on the heels of Kate being investigated by child services for her allegedly abusive and neglectful parenting. As we’ve previously reported, Kate has instructed her nannies to spy on her ex and listen in on phone calls between Jon and her kids. There’s no word on if the anonymous 19-year-old received such instructions. Just earlier today new allegations surfaced regarding Kate’s alleged abuse of her son Collin . All of this is unlikely to result in any charges against Kate or any changes in her custody arrangement. It’s just further proof that Kate is a really, really bad mom. Veteran TV producer Jill Blackstone is under investigation stemming from the death of her sister, Wendy Blackstone, last weekend, according to police. At first, Wendy appeared to have died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning from a gas grill, but police believe the death scene may have been staged. Jill Blackstone is under investigation based a number of factors … Paramedics found Wendy Blackstone on the floor of the garage of the home where she and Jill lived. There was a grill in the garage, and ash in the grill. Wendy Blackstone, who was deaf and partially blind, was holding a handwritten suicide note … which the police strongly believe was written by Jill. The grill’s unusual placement at Wendy’s feet contributed to the investigators’ suspicion that it was a murder, and not suicide, that they had encountered. Jill was arrested for murder, but released last night after D.A. sent the case back to the police for further investigation. So she’s not out of the woods yet. She told paramedics she also passed out, but regained consciousness enough to ask a friend for help. That friend called 911 out of concern for Jill. The friend believed had suffered a stroke because her speech was slurred, and Jill had to be hospitalized for two days with carbon monoxide poisoning. She was arrested after her release Monday, then cut loose Wednesday. Wendy’s cause of death has yet to be released, pending toxicology results. The 52-year-old Jill Blackstone has produced numerous television shows, including the Rosie O’Donnell Show and the Sally Jessy Raphael Show .
