It’s official. Britney Spears is no longer wearing her engagement ring. Or a lot of fabric around the side of her chest, for that matter. The newly single pop star was spotted out in public in L.A., showing off her newly ring-less finger … and showing Jason Trawick what he’s missing! Brit’s loose-fitting peach dress left just enough to the imagination as she exited her car. One hopes this isn’t a sign of how she’s coping with the split. After all, her breakup with Kevin Federline resulted in some of the most revealing Britney Spears photos ever … and later a severe breakdown. Here’s hoping it’s a fluke.
A popular Chicago preacher has provoked controversy after posting a picture of himself in the bath with his granddaughter on Instagram. Chicago Preacher Bishop Trotter Takes Bath With Granddaughter The young girl’s mother, Javon Trotter, in response to the public’s critical outpour, spoke to theGrio in an exclusive phone interview and says she is supporting her father through this difficult time. Via The Grio reports: “I’m upset, I’m hurt I can’t believe that people would re-post the picture of my innocent baby and say bad things about my father who loves my baby and all kids,” she says. “He would never do anything to harm them. It’s hurtful for my whole family.” The picture, which has since been removed, went viral a few days ago, causing an uproar in the social media community. From calling Trotter a “pervert” and to deeming the photo as “plain inappropriate,” social media users took to Twitter expressing their opinions about the post. Ms. Trotter wanted to clarify that her father was bathing in their large whirlpool Jacuzzi in their bathroom when the granddaughter walked in and asked her mother if she could go into the tub with him. After the girl asked to join her grandfather, both Trotter and his granddaughter put on swim trunks before getting into the water. Javon also adds that her daughter was only in the water for about three to five minutes, and she was present during the entire situation. She says that she simply does not understand why people misinterpreted the image. “I don’t understand — it doesn’t look bad. I would never thought he would do anything [inappropriate],” she contends. “I don’t know why people would think this way. I know my father and he would never do anything to his kids.” Although the photo was only on the account for about ten minutes before it was taken down, the daughter of the bishop says that it was only supposed to be shared among family members and is horrified that it was posted online. The photo was inadvertently sent by a family member to a person who manages his social media accounts, according to Trotter. “I would have not posted the photo online…We never wanted anyone else to see it,” she says. “[My father] is hurt as well, we’re his family. When dot-com Don Juan goes wrong… Manti Te’o’s Lennay Kekua Hoax Perpetrators Have Confessed And Apologized According to TMZ reports : Manti Te’o has broken his silence … admitting he knew having a relationship with a “girlfriend” solely online was “crazy,” insisting he was a victim, and revealing that the culprit has now apologized. Manti gave an audio interview to ESPN — the photo was taken in the middle of the chat — in which he acknowledges Ronaiah Tuiasosopo tweeted him a full confession two days ago. You gotta love … even the confession was online. ESPN says it was followed up by a phone call. Manti says, “I wasn’t faking it. I wasn’t part of this.” Manti says he now knows — presumably from Tuiasosopo — “Two guys and a girl are responsible for the whole thing.” He says he doesn’t know the identity of the second guy or the girl. He adds he didn’t know for sure until Wednesday that it was all a hoax, when Tuiasosopo admitted it to him. Manti explained why he lied to his dad and others, when he said or intimated he had seen the fictitious Lennay Kekua in the flesh. “I knew that — I even knew that it was crazy that I was with somebody that I didn’t meet, and that alone people find out that this gir who died I was so invested in, and I didn’t meet her as well … So I kind of tailored my stories to have people think that, yeah, he met her before she passed away so people wouldn’t think I was some crazy dude.” So why the hell didn’t Manti ever try to Skype or get any visual confirmation of his “girlfriend” BEFORE he went public with these shenanigans??? As for one of the big questions — why didn’t he at least Skype — he says he tried to speak with Lennay through Skype or FaceTime several times, but the person on the other end was in a “black box” and couldn’t be seen. He says he also tried meeting her a few time in L.A. and Hawaii, but she kept canceling. And this is a little weird … Manti says Lennay once asked him for his checking account number so she could send him money. He did not provide it. Still, no suspicion. This kid is a complete and utter moron, that said, we still feel kinda bad for him. Furthermore, this Tuiasosopo character is about as shady as they come. The publication features seven different covers, plus a bunch of candid Rihanna photos inside. Spoiler alert: She bears serious skin. We know. Shock. RiRi took to her Instagram account last night to show off all the pics from the spread, which includes some revealing Polaroids she took herself. One thing that’s nobody’s business, however? Her ” Nobody’s Business ” collaborator, Chris Brown. “It’s nobody’s business,” she says of their relationship status. The magazine then posed to Rihanna the question we’re all thinking: If her relationship with Chris is nobody’s business, why record a song about it? This inquiry apparently stunned the otherwise uninhibited pop superstar. “Pardon me?” she replied, eyebrow, raised. “It’s the truth, remember?” As she walked out, she added, “It’s a fun record that The Dream wrote and we loved the lyrics. You’re still asking me questions about it so clearly you don’t know.” And now you do. Maybe. The interview comes as rumors fly about Rihanna and Chris Brown being off again, despite appearing to be a full-fledged couple as recently as New Year’s. Mallory Hagan is Miss America 2013. The reigning, beautiful Miss New York bested the talented field to capture the prestigious pageant last night! Fifty-three ladies danced, twirled, flashed pearly whites, worked it in bikinis and strutted their best stuff in a quest for the tiara and the scholarship cash. In the end, the 23-year-old from Brooklyn emerged victorious. Prior to being named Miss America, Mallory Hagan attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, eyeing a career in global cosmetics marketing. Her platform issue is child sexual abuse prevention and she plans to obtain a degree in cosmetics and fragrance marketing, according to her bio. She is expected to spend her title reign on a nationwide speaking tour, raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network, Miss America’s official charity. She was tops with the judges in the swimsuit competition Saturday, and she performed a mean tap dance to James Brown’s “Get Up Offa That Thing.” Mallory answered a difficult question about whether armed guards belong in grade schools by saying we should not fight violence with violence. Hagan defeated Miss South Carolina Ali Rogers, who took second, and Miss Oklahoma Alicia Clifton, who finished third, to win Miss America 2013. Congratulations to all!
