Producer Dallas Austin paid homage to his childhood friend, and prom date, and offered up some history in the process. “This is the hardest post I’ve ever had to do,” wrote Austin on IG for the caption of their prom photo. “…my mom and Kim’s mom was pregnant with us at the same time in Columbus …I have never known a life without Kim porter from kindergarten through all of our life long experiences in high school, having matching bmws or her being the biggest believer in me making it as a producer and us getting out of Columbus to be somebody ..and we made it!!” It also turns out the Austin and Porter’s relationship is what inspired the film Drumline, which starred Nick Cannon and Zoe Saldana. Say word? Austin added: “we were inseparable I feel like a part of my soul has has been taken away ..most people don’t know that Zoe Saldana played the role of Kim in ‘drumline’ as nick cannon played my character.” Kim Porter was found dead in her home on Thursday (Nov. 15). Her exact cause of death has yet to be determined. Rest in power Kim Porter.

Cassie penned a sweet message to Kim Porter today, November 19, one day after her homegoing. The singer noted that Kim was an “amazing mother” and sent sincere condolences to Puff who she called “the best father.” She also shouted out the rest of the baby’s mothers in Diddy’s life; Sarah Chapman and Misa Hylton and the children Kim’s leaving behind. “There are no words…. An amazing mother to her beautiful family, lit up every room she entered and now the most beautiful angel Sending so much love and my condolences to the Porter and Combs family. I love you @quincy, @kingcombs, Jessie, D’Lila, Chance, @princejdc and @diddy. Puff you are already the best father. I know you will be amazing. Love you @ladykp ” Kim was laid to rest Sunday during a private homegoing celebration hosted by Diddy. Candles and portraits of Porter lined the entrance where the service took place. Britney Spears’ frustration over her costly new child-support agreement with Kevin Federline has been eclipsed by gratitude. She and her loved ones are a live and safe. In these wildfires, so many others cannot say the same. Evacuating her Thousand Oaks home has reportedly made her eager to stop taking things for granted — and to get engaged. HollywoodLife reports that the horrific wildfires in California have spurred Britney to action — and possibly to get engaged. The insider says that, in the aftermath of the Thousand Oaks fire that forced Britney to evacuate her home, she doesn’t want to “waste a moment.” “Britney has been very shaken up by the fires,” the source explains. She had to evacuate her home on November 13 as the raging fire tore through, consuming entire towns. All told, the California fires have left more than 80 dead, and there are at least 1,000 people missing or unaccounted for. Britney knows this. “She’s feeling so lucky to be out of danger with her family,” the insider reveals. Britney and her loved ones are safe and she’s really living up to the title of one of her best songs — “Lucky.” “But,” the source notes. “It’s still very emotional for her.” Of course! This news has been heartbreaking for us all. “She’s going to be making a lot of donations to help the victims,” the insider claims. (That would be wonderful, but let’s not put words in someone’s mouth or make promises on their behalf) “And,” the source continues. “She’s making a point to let everyone in her life know how much she loves them.” That includes her wonderful sons , Sean Preston and Jayden. But they’re not the only ones she loves. … She and her hunky boyfriend Sam Asghari are extremely close. “She and Sam are already like two peas in a pod,” the insider affirms. That much has been evident to us all based upon their activity on social media. They were already close, the source says, “but this tragedy has made her even more aware of how lucky she is.” He’s a younger, outrageously good-looking fitness model. Nothing makes you remember to make it clear how much you love people like the experience of losing a loved one. Now more than ever, Britney is conscious of how quickly things can change for the worst. “And,” the insider says. “It’s made her really focus on not wasting one moment.” Apparently, she’s looking to take things to the next level. “Britney’s more eager than ever to get engaged to Sam,” the source reports. (Insert the obligatory joke about how a lot of people want to get engaged to Sam Asghari) The insider says that Britney wants to make things official soon “and she wants it to happen over the holidays this year.” As with any rumors of an engagement or looming engagement, we’ll take this report with a grain of salt. Obviously, Britney and Sam are a beautiful, loving couple. We don’t know that they’re looking to change anything about their relationship. What’s the rush? And, given how recently Britney was reminded of the staggering financial cost of past marriages (thanks, Kevin Federline), she may not be in a hurry. We introduce you to Kaavia James Union Wade . “Just greazzzy and happy. That is all,” the 46-year-old wrote on Instagram with a picture of her cuddling precious bundle of joy. “@kaaviajames pronounced Kah-Vee-Uh James,” she explained, adding a list of nicknames she’s given her newborn. “She has 102 nicknames including but not limited to Kaav, Kaavi, Kaavi Baby, Kaavi J, Jamie, KJ, Nugget, Nug, Pooters.” So where did the name come from? According to Gabby, it was a mix of both her and Dwyane’s family names. “We wanted to include my family in her name so that ‘James’ is from my uncle James Francis Glass who is also my grandfather,” she wrote, adding that “Union is her middle name. In addition, Dwyane posted some pics of his own celebrating his new baby girl.
